Anna was shocked after seeing Nina being brutally smacked aside. She watched Linda carrying her away from the front lines then concentrated on the oger again. It held the Roman shield protecting its left side while slowly approaching Anna.

Sam had totally entered the berserker mode. His eyes had turned blood red and a ruthless smile could be seen on his face.

' Kill these little bastards! I will them all!! ' Sam only thought about annihilating the goblins.

He arrived behind the next goblin grabbing its head. He used the spikes of his shield to repeatedly stab its neck until the body slumped to the ground. However, Sam still held the head in his left hand.

Blood was still flowing out of the neck but Sam didn't mind and threw the head away with a cruel smile.

The remaining goblins started to back off after seeing Sam, who was drenched in goblin blood, slaughtering their brothers.

On the other side the ogers weren't faced and continued fighting without pause. Jack and Nissa kept shooting arrows to distract the sword wielding oger from killing the civilians who were fleeing for their lives. Jack had been able to hit one of the ogers eyes while Nissa shot its left calf multiple times.

The oger limped and the shaft of an arrow stuck out of its closed right eye. It chased after Jack and Nissa to get its revenge for the injuries. They slowly lead it away from the rest of the monsters.

Meanwhile, Anna faced the second oger alone. She jumped around while evading the ogers strikes. To fight an enemy much bigger and stronger than oneself without a surprise attack was really hard when played the assassin class because one hit could mean your death.

Same was true for Anna. She wore leather armor with some steel parts, which wasn't nearly enough to survive a hit of an oger unscathed.

Linda was protecting the still unconscious Nina from a few approaching goblins but she looked worn out from continuously using her spells. Two goblins were closing in on her and Nina with drawn weapons.

Sam who had never stopped killing goblins appeared behind the two who tried to attack Linda. He stabbed the first one through the back lifting the still struggling goblin off the ground and kicking it away. The second one turned around only to see Sams hand approaching.

*Crack*

Sam had broken the second goblins neck before it had the time to do anything.

" Thanks Sam, that was close! " Linda thanked him but Sam had already started to chase his next victims without reacting to her.

This situation lasted for another ten minutes. The place looked like a battlefield. Corpses filled the surroundings and the stench of blood and feces wafted through the air. More than 200 humans had died from the surprise attack. Jack, Nissa and the second oger had disappeared at some point.

Sam killed the last goblin by ripping its head off before he turned towards Anna and the oger holding the shield. Anna looked towards Sam but froze when she saw his appearance.

He was covered in crimson blood from head to toe. His eyes had turned into the same color. Anna could see him smiling coldly at the oger before he charged from the left side. He stabbed forward but got intercepted by the ogers shield.

Without pause Sam attacked the ogers left side, continuously hitting the Roman shield. Anna also used the opportunity and stabbed the right knee of the oger a few times.

" ROOOAAR! " the oger became furious after dealing with attacks from two sides and wildly swung its shield in a circular motion.

The raging Sam didn't try to evade and was sent flying for ten meters before hitting the ground. Anna got hit as well but was able to reduce the damage by jumping away from the approaching shield.

Sam was unconscious and Anna had a wounded leg which caused her to lose most of her mobility. She stood up with difficulty only to see the oger ignoring her. It actually looked at the unmoving Sam ready to charge at him.

Linda used her last power to throw another lightning spear at the ogers back. She lost consciousness shortly after because of exhaustion.

This move had changed the ogers attention from Sam to Linda and Nina. It walked towards them and stopped one meter away from where they lay.

The oger stretched out its left hand to grab Linda, at this moment Anna activated her skill and changed her position with Ninas. She used her uninjured leg and pushed herself forward in between the ogers legs. She then used both her hands and all her power to stab the dagger upwards.

"WAAAAAAAHH" the oger let out a horrifying scream when the dagger pierced its crotch. Anna rolled away before the oger fell to its knees holding its genitals. She approched from behind and stabbed its back and legs.

When the oger rolled to the side to evade Anna's attacks she stabbed its throat twice and stepped a few meter backwards. She saw a stream of blood flowing through the holes in the ogers neck and finally sat down. She had no power left to fight and simply made sure that her enemy would bleed out. Her sister and comrades were unconscious or had disappeared, only she and the struggling oger were left surrounded by dozens of mutilated corpses.

After five minutes the oger stopped moving and a red screen appeared in front of Anna. She finally lost consciousness as well.

When Sam woke up the first thing he saw was the ogers corpse. Sam felt exhausted but lifted himself up and looked around. He remembered how he had slain the goblins and attacked the oger but he couldn't remember what had happened afterwards.

He saw Linda who didn't seem to be hurt. Nina lay a bit away from her, still injured, so Sam walked up to her first to check her condition.

He knelt besides her and checked her pulse.

Nina opened her eyes when Sam confirmed her condition.

" Oh you are awake, how are you? Are you hurt somewhere?" Sam immediately asked her.

She moved all her limps before saying " Everything hurts but nothing seems to be broken. Where is my sister?"

" I don't know, I only woke up a moment ago. Rest here for now. I will look for your sister and take a look at Linda." Sam stood up and approched the oger.

It lay in a pool of blood but Anna couldn't be seen. Sam looked around and found her laying on the floor a bit away. She had some small wounds and a more serious injury on her leg but her pulse seemed good.

'She must have killed the oger. Linda is laying over there but where are Jack, Nissa and the other oger?'

Sam carefully picked Anna up and carried her over to her twin sister. After putting here next to Nina he approched Linda who was waking up at this time. She warily looked around for enemies and spotted Sam. She asked " You are back to normal right? Where are the others?"

" I am fine. The twins are over there. Can you walk?"

Linda stood up and followed Sam. When they returned Anna was already awake.

The females embraced each other while asking if everyone was ok. Sam checked their surroundings before saying to Anna

" Congratulations, I suppose you were the one who killed the oger and leveled up! But right now I need to know where Jack and Nissa are, do you know where they went?"

" I didn't see them leave but I don't think they would lead the oger towards Blackstone city. This way is the lake, which means we have to search in the direction they came from!" Anna said after thinking about it.

"Let's go, we have to look for Jack and Nissa!" Sam said after everyone had regained their power and stood up.
