《Music System》Chapter 10

The next day after he unlocked his memories Saturn didn't have work. But he still went to the mall, to record instead of do his job though. Honestly though he would have spent time with his mom despite his excitement to record some songs, but she had work.
Saturn hopped of his bed, changed his socks and underwear, the only things he sleeps in, and put on some casual clothes. Black basket ball shorts, a white wife beater, and a black and red jersey. After that he went to the kitchen and made himself some waffles and heated up some left over fried chicken. It took him around thirty minutes to cook and eat the food. After that he grabbed his guitar and drove the entire way to the mall.
Once he got to the mall he walked all the way to Luther's store with a pep in his step and exuding a confident aura. One could tell this by the women who were checking him out. Saturn didn't notice however as he was a man on a mission.
When he got to the store he instantly went to Luther's office, when he got there Luther was reading a worn book. Clearly the old man had read the book a lot.
" Yo Luther, ready to record, I have some new songs. "
" What's up with you to be so excited. I don't think I have ever seen you smile like that. "
" I've smiled like this before. "
" Yeah for a second. "
" Whatever I'm not letting you ruin my day. "
" Alright, alright. Let's go. "
Saturn led the way, he was nearly skipping all the way to the booth. When Luther got there Saturn already had the equipment set up. All he was waiting on was Luther to get there to work the technical stuff.
Luther sat down got everything started up and ready.
" Alright Saturn, whenever you're ready. "
The song that Saturn started playing was a guitar cover of ( Entombment of a Machine ). In his memories Saturn not only had original songs but also covers and remixes. One of his favorite covers was the one he was about to play.
When Luther heard Saturn start playing he was blown away. He knew Saturn played guitar, but he never expected him to be so good. He also hadn't expected for such an odd style.

Saturn was just enjoying himself while nodding his head. He was also concentrating to an extreme level. Despite being talented, he had only been been playing for couple months, it helped that he knew exactly how to play the songs, but that would only go so far.
By the time the song was half way over Saturn had gotten into a rhythm, while both he and Luther were nodding their heads. By the end of the song Luther's neck was hurting from the amount of movement his neck had been doing. Saturn was sweating, but he was grinning from ear to ear.
He exited the booth and walked to Luther.
" Well how was it? Pretty good right? "
" Yeah, come here and you can see for your self. "
" Alright. "
After that Saturn sat on a chair beside Luther and put on some big ol' headphones that covered half of his head. By the time the song had ended he had also been nodding his head, his sweat had also cleared up.
" Alright well I brought my memory storage, so can you please download it. I am going to get ready in the booth. "
" Are you recording again? "
" Yep, I want to record at least three songs today. "
" Sweet. "
Luther was surprised, because Saturn would always say that he only wants to record one song. That was the excuse that Saturn had been holding, but Luther didn't know that. Luther was always curious as to why Saturn would only record one song. He was happy to hear that that would change.
The next song that Saturn wanted to play was a chill one called ( Europa ( Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile ) ). It was one of his favorites out of the memories he had gone through. Despite being a chill song, it would be harder to record since, he would be adding in bass, drums, keyboard among other things. For the ( Entombment of a Machine ) he would only have to do a drums.
He saved those worries for another day though. For now he decided to just enjoy himself. He first started playing and Luther was once again surprised, once again because of Saturn's skill. But also because of the change in pace and sound.
Despite it being his first time playing the song Saturn felt as though he was connected to the song and had played it thousands of times. He even closed his eyes to really immerse himself. But, despite how he felt Saturn still had a few places he had messed up.

It seemed he had used up all of his luck on his first song, and on his second song he kept messing up. Despite that though both Saturn and Luther enjoyed themselves.
When he was done Saturn once again stepped out of the booth, once again sweaty. His longish hair stuck to his forehead.
" How was it? "
" Not bad, but it wouldn't hurt to go again. Come on over. "
Once again Saturn listened intently. Remembering his mistakes and not thinking about all of the parts he really nailed.
" Well let's do one more song and then we can revise and re record. Well also have to get some drums and what not in here so I can do the background music. "
" You want to do back ground music as well? Can you even play drums. "
" Course I am doing background music and well I should be able to handle it. Though I don't know. "
" Alright, then hop in the booth. "
Once he sat down he started thinking about what song he wanted to do. He kind of wanted another cover, but he couldn't think of any. He started going through his memories.
He had plenty of songs, but most would need singing to go along with them. Saturn wasn't sure if he would be able to sing.
While he was thinking that his system sent him a message.
You know you have well over 100,000 points right. Why don't you just buy something to let you sing?
' What do you suggest? '
Mocking bird's song - Will let you copy any voice that you have memories of. Professional singer - Will give you singing skills on a professional level.
' How much are they? '
Together they will cost you 150,000.
' That's it? I figured they would cost more. '
You bought memories from your past lives for only 100,000, if anything I thought you would think that that is cheap.
' I had no way to compare the price or anything. Anyway, if I have enough for both, then buy them. '
You'll have barely any left over, but you can afford them.
Congratulations - You have bought both Mockingbird's song and Professional Singer. Please make full use of them.
" Yo Luther, I am going to be doing some singing, can you help me set up the equipment? "
" Sure. "
Luther walked into the room and started setting up the mic and all the required equipment.
" Are you sure you want to sing. No offense but you don't seem like the type of Guy. Hehehe. "
" What's with the laugh. You didn't say anything funny. "
" I made a pun. "
" On what? "
Luther just shook his head and finished preparing the equipment. Saturn just dropped it.
" Alright, when you're ready. "
Saturn then started to play his song. When he got into it, he realized the song just didn't sound complete without the background instruments. But that also added to his excitement, since he couldn't wait to hear the completed projects.
The song he started playing was ( Paint It, Black ) the original. He really enjoyed the song, simply because everything about it fit. Just perfectly, in Saturn's opinion. The vocals, the guitar, drums, sitar, everything.
Luther for the third time that day was surprised, this time because of Saturn's singing. Saturn sounded completely different singing than talking.
Thanks to his skill, Saturn didn't mess up any while singing, but he couldn't multitask, and he messed up on the guitar quite a bit.
Both of the men spent nine more hours working to complete the songs. Surprisingly, at least to Luther, Europa took the longest to get right. While Paint it, Black took the second longest amount of time.
In the end Luther ended up doing the drums for Saturn since Saturn couldn't keep time. Saturn told Luther everything to hit and then Luther used intuition to play the songs. In the end they sounded pretty damn good, but they weren't quite professional. Considering it was only two dudes doing the songs though it was really good.
When Saturn got home he first told his mom hello, and then he instantly went to his room to upload the songs to WeStream. He gave Luther credit for the drums.
After the songs were uploaded Saturn went to eat dinner with his mom. Little did he know that his life would change for the better real soon.
