V3 Chapter 36
Well, comforting Lafetti and ease her anxiety was, actually much harder than expected. It took quite a long time, to do it.
Rain turned towards his surroundings. They were still in the Mausoleum of Heroes. However, the only thing that differs from before was that everything in the Mausoleum in front of him was in their proper order, neat and clean without anything that shows the desperate battlefield that he and the others had just suffered.
There was not even the slightest hint of what had occurred… this place is really different than that dreamland.
And from what he had heard from the others, it seems like Lafetti and the others were truly with him when they are fighting, and not just an illusion.
Moments after Rain died, before they could do everything, Lafetti and the others were assaulted by sudden dizziness, resulting in them losing their consciousness immediately after. The battle and heartaches they have felt, all disappeared as they open their eyes, finding each other just beside the pedestal where the monolith was.
When everyone wakes up, a few minutes later, Rain did.
Although they had realized that what they had just experienced was nothing but an illusion, what surprised them was the fact that although injuries and wounds on their bodies disappeared like they were all a lie, the items, and skills they had gained actually did not. They were pleasantly surprised to see them lying beside them.
[Finally, Master I was able to fix our connection. That really scares me you know!] as Rain was surveying in the entire surrounding for something amiss, he doesn’t want to be under an illusion trap once again, Sylphy grumbled with a crying voice.
[I’ve been calling you all over, and over again. I was really surprised when Master and the others suddenly lost consciousness after facing the Monolith. Worst of all, your souls disappearing from your body and being sucked into the monolith really scared me. Although I still feel the connection between Master and me, it was so faint that look like an ember amidst a storm, one blew of wind and it will be cut off. I was so anxious. I tried calling Master a thousand times but I couldn’t get a proper response.]
Rain smiled wryly.
“I know…and I heard you. In fact, because of you, I was able to understand what was going on.”
Soul, huh. Perhaps, it’s because Sylphy didn’t have something like a soul, it was not able to trap her like us? Or was it, because Sylphy has much more amazing immunity in spells like this?
Being a Divine Skill that was from a God and something of this level would never be able to affect her. The former was too sad, and Rain just can’t imagine Sylphy having no soul at all, so he preferred to think it’s the latter.
At the same time, conversing with Sylphy, Rain felt somewhat at ease and relieved. This is the real Sylphy. He thought so they should have been successfully able to leave the illusion trap. The emotion that can now be felt from her voice and tone was much more appealing than the mechanical Sylphy that sounds like a Robot AI.
At first, Sylphy was more of a mechanical AI that doesn’t seem to have any emotions. But as time passed by, Rain noticed that she seemed to be evolving. Or perhaps, regaining something? That’s why Rain didn’t like to think Sylphy didn’t have any soul since she had started to develop her own ‘Free Will’. She even started to refer to herself as ‘I’ much more than before, and with even more emotion now.

After resolving his worries, Rain felt the urge to take a bath. He stunk to high heaven, and dirt and grime stuck on his skin felt extremely uncomfortable. Truthfully, he hadn't been able to wash in weeks and was starting to feel more like an animal than a man.
Rain asked Lafetti for water as he made a makeshift bath around the pedestal where the Monolith was erected. There was a small partition at the edges, and in a rectangular form, so it could be used as a small bathtub, though water barely reaches the knees, it was still better than nothing.
As for Rain’s guts to make a bathtub out of the monolith that just traps them in an unending hell, even Granite and Lafetti felt somewhat amused and amazed at the same time. His impertinence to use something mysterious and dangerous like that as a bathtub is something even them they didn’t dare to even think about. But as Rain said; “It’s fine. The Dungeon would not mind that much since it would clean itself anyway, right? and I don’t think she would care about it,” like that, made them somewhat don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Well, they had already inspected it thoroughly anyway, but there seem to be no signs of danger or even traps anymore. In fact, they didn't know or understand how they all had fallen into that trap without even noticing it. That's one of the most strange wonders in the Dungeon they couldn't understand at all. Because of some weird hidden dangers that might occur just like that, they still surrounded the place with the utmost vigilance while Rain was having his relaxing bath. Pretty weird, and embarrassing, though.
Although Rain had already gotten used to being naked in front of them, still, he didn’t have any exhibition hobbies, so being completely seen like this still somewhat made him embarrassed. Well, even if he wanted them to leave him for a while and give him space, with what had happened before, they would never do it even if he begs. And so he just swallowed his shame and let them be, even if they are currently watching him without even batting an eyelid.
Seriously, I do hope if they could at least pretend they are not watching me. It makes me feel like a girl bathing being watched by men, now I know how they feel. Fortunately, I did not try to peep at anyone when I was working at the public bath.
Submerging in the bath, Rain finally cleansed his body from the disgusting substance. At this moment, his appearance made a dramatic transformation. His pecs and abs were defined. His biceps were much toned as well. Overall, his build was very balanced and well-proportioned. His muscles were not as exaggerated as those of a bodybuilder, of course, and it would not even be noticeable if he put some clothes on, making him somewhat look thin and slender. But when he stood naked, he looked fit and muscular.
Looking at him would give one the impression of a perfectly proportioned male body, one that had the most accurate, and ideal body proportions.
In fact, he seemed to be even more slender than before. Before, because of his training, Rain had gained quite a bit of muscle, and he became taller as well. Although he was not fat or noticeably huge like a bodybuilder, nevertheless he was far bigger than he as in the previous world. Taller, with more defined facial features—in any case, he looks more mature contrary to his age. But now, to think he would return to his slender build, one that almost similar to before he had arrived into this world. Just what happened?

But Rain somewhat understands. This should have been his original body physique, but he had gained more volume due to practice. But now that he had finally reached a small success in his Body Cultivation, and had even expelled most of the impurities in his body, his physique returned to what it should have, but stronger, and tougher.
It wasn’t just something like ‘compressed muscles’ that people in movies or novels talked about. His body cells which were exposed to a miraculous state where it had undergone ‘rebirth’ and had been invigorated. But this time, stronger, but more efficiently in order to not become a hindrance to movement.
Of course, the bones, the skin, and even the inner organs were the same. As if it knew that it would have to confront many enemies in the future, it was strongly evolving to optimize itself to battle. Roughly speaking, it was comparable to a mutation that wouldn’t happen for several generations that were happening in one human’s body.
That’s how incredible [Body Cultivation] is.
If someone knew about this, they would surely do all they can just to obtain this miraculous set of cultivation methods.
Though, the added bonus seemed to have maximized his Charm Stats as well. Not only his skin returned to its healthy color, pale white but not one that seemed sickly, but that of sparkling milky white, the type of skin that would make any woman feel envious for, he had also become even more handsome compared to before.
With his slim, perfect nose, his lush full lips, his large blue eye now with a purple hue, and his high cheekbones. He has incredibly long eyelashes that made obvious when one looks at him sideways. His features meld together in such a perfect and yet exotic ensemble.
Even the three women, who had been with him for a very long time already, still couldn’t help but take a sharp breath upon looking at his new appearance. Even Scarlet, seeing the Rain’s bare upper body couldn’t help but blushed, and her heartbeat jumped wildly as if a little deer being startled.
Despite her shyness, however, her gaze was fixed on his body, never leaving.at this moment, Rain indeed scattered alarming manly smell, and with sparkling and crystal clear drops of water decorating his sturdy muscles, under the illumination of the magic lamp, he looked even more charming, which was enough to make the Ant Queen had a dry tongue. Every part of him is a sculptured dream for her. Every part of him screams out to be touched, caressed, stroked and worshipped.
Scarlet likes looking at him, but it’s like staring too long at the sun. His entire being, now naked is making her completely uncomfortable.
Feeling a mixture of embarrassment and satisfaction from being ogled by the three women, Rain smiled wryly as he continued soaking himself in the makeshift large bathing tub, with the right amount of heat. Scarlet’s firepower was really convenient in this kind of moment.
The water vapor and steam had made the bathtub hazy, but the water was damn soothing and relaxing. Rain felt all his tiredness slipping away like he was somehow getting recharged just sitting there. Suddenly, as he was enjoying his bath, “Enjoying the bath?” a familiar voice whispered in his ears as he felt the breeze coming from the sudden intruder’s breathe. Even without looking, Rain could immediately recognize who it was. And he smiled wryly.
Granite was just watching him with amusement, while Scarlet seemed to be enduring something. But it seems like a certain someone couldn’t do such a thing. Well, Rain had already expected this though, not even being able to imagine her doing nothing and sitting around and watching him. Therefore, he could only smile at her helplessly.
“You know, you made me went into a lot today, and worst you made me extremely feel awful, ” said Lafetti, with a clear display of grievance and anger on her face.
“I know,” Rain said guiltily.
Lafetti narrowed her eyes and glared at him. And then suddenly, she leaned in a pressed her lips to his. Rain stiffened at first, shocked by the sudden move when Granite and Scarlet were surely watching, but then he melted into it.
As usual, Lafetti’s lips were soft and full. And unlike the usual, she wasn’t rough and insistent but gentle and caressing. Her hands came up to rest on his shoulders, and their touch was light on his skin, so soft and gentle as if she was afraid that he would disappear like an illusion at the slightest touch.
She was truly scared about him dying, and he felt even more guilt in his heart. because of it, he finally ignored Granite and Scarlet’s glaring gaze and responded—his was, even more, stronger, powerful, trying to urge her on, and dispel her anxiety and fears.
Lafetti felt overwhelmed at first, but after a while, she finally seemed to have regained her drive and her ‘attack’ became even harder, and stronger. Lafetti responded by putting her arms around his neck while slithering her body into his. The feeling of her youthful breasts against his chest and his hard-on being pressed between their bodies gave him an indescribable pleasure.
The kiss that started out gentle had soon devolved into a soul-sucking battle of wills. Lafetti plastered her lips over Rain’s, not caring about the people watching them from the side. Each twist of her tongue set off another detonation of need exploding through Rain’s body. She rubbed her tongue over his, and Rain responded with a hard suck that threatened to undo her. Every nibble of his teeth sent an arrow of pleasure straight to her pussy.
She tore her lips away from her, inhaling sharply. “You want me?”
Rain caught his lower lip to steady a shaking laugh. “Of course I do. But, right now, I’m still dirty. And we are actually not in the right place, and the right time for it…”
“No matter, I don’t care. You scared me today plenty of times, I feel as if I’m going insane if I let you go free again.” Lafetti said in a trance. Her appearance also changed, immediately changing back into her girl’s appearance full of grievous emotions.
Her red eyes fixedly stared at Rain, and these eyes clearly revealed greatly what she was feeling right. The anxiety, the worries, even now, it’s still eating inside her. After all, she had just witness Rain dying in front of her. Something that almost torn her inside out. She never likes that feeling, and would never want to experience it again, even if it's in an illusion or dream.
Lafetti leaned over, and as if a kitten rubbed against his chest. Dirty? Smelly? She never cared about those. Even if Rain was the stickiest man in the world, she would still love his smell. Much less, he is not. In fact, his smell has this kind of addicting flavor that she just couldn’t get enough.
