~Andria's side~ The sun is in the center of the sky so we stopped to eat lunch. I learned from this morning and confiscated the cooking materials and tools. I just cooked simple burrito with a side of stir fried rice. "Delicious!" "Delicious! It's not poison!" "Thanks. It turned out pretty well if I do say so myself." "What was that Isis?" "Nothing!" We rest for a bit longer before getting up and having Sapphire cast {Life Search}. "This is weird?" "What is it?" Sapphire seemed honestly confused with her search. "There is a large blank space where there is absolutely nothing." "What?" Life is everywhere, this is a forest. {Life Search} should pick up plants too. The life force of most plants are weak, but it should still be there. Should we check it out and report it? "What should we do?" Isis said while seeming confused that we weren't moving forward. For now let's look in the edge of the blank area. We don't know what is in there, but we don't want to get trapped by something. "Let examine the edge of the radius of the anomaly and report it." We go to the anomaly and it looks like a dread forest but I can tell just by looking all the life has been taken. It is like it was drained by a {Drain Life Force} spell. It smells like rotting flesh. There's no mushrooms on these trees either. Squrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! "What was that?" "Let's not find out." We turn around and start to return to the city but we run into a pack of kobolds. Sapphire killed them with a single well aimed {Ice Barret}. She had Richt collect the bodies and we kept running. A couple of minutes later we made it to the road. "What do you think that was?" Isis asked. Sapphire was the one to respond with. "It was probably a high rank undead." Undead are uncommon so you won't find one most days, but you will likely see one once every few months if you travel. Undead are a huge problem though, because there is no way to kill them for most people. You can slash, beat hit them with most types of magic and with a bit of time they will fix themselves. It is this reason that most country ask you to have one person report it and have one person watch it. Every town has a group dedicated to dealing with undead, either purifying or sealing it to call in back up. Most of the time undead have a territory they stay in especially as they get stronger. Undead have ranks but they aren't the same as the guilds ranking system. It goes; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, magenta, grey, black. your basic walking skeleton is red and a greater draconian lich is black everything else is somewhere in between. Where also is a white rank but only undead who are able to mix with humans can be in this rank. In the capital a white rank undead teaches at the royal magic institute. He is a lich whose strength is equal to a black rank undead or an EX rank monster. His name is Grimm. "Let's make a report to the guild A.S.A.P." We ran to town made a report as we entered town. After that we ran to the Guild and enter the information center. "We have a report to make on a undead!" I spoke a bit more loudly to get the receptionists attention. I walk up to one of the stations and explained what happened and our evidence for our claims. Which was some of the bark from the trees. "Alright. Thank you for your report we'll spread the information to minimize the damage." We leave then go to another counter for completing requests in the building beside this one. It has the 'Request Turn In' over it. "We'd like to turn in these request." I hand over all the requests and our guild cards. "Alright, completed. Here is your payment." The receptionists handing our money and cards over as she spoke. "You two can stay at my house again tonight if you'd like." I said as we were leaving the guild wondering what to do next. I look at sapphire and she nods so we decide to go with her.
