Chapter 1: An Unbelievable Scenario

Okay....What the hell is going on!?!! That thought was the only thing running through Lucky's head at the moment.
Thinking back at everything that had happened from the moment he'd first woken up Lucky still couldn't wrap his head around it. He'd woken up in a strange cabin packed with strangers, which was weird enough given that Lucky was by no means a social butterfly and spent most of his time either in his house, his car, or in school—nor was it the fact that he distinctly remembered falling sleepily onto his bed. No, what really stumped him was the fact that he could see snow outside of the cabin's windows. Snow
Now, Lucky didn't know much—in fact he didn't know a lot of things—but one thing he did know was that it did not, did not, snow in his country a country that was right on top of the fucking equator. That meant that he was no longer home or anywhere remotely close to it. So, he was either kidnapped or, like the anime and stories he'd read online, summoned to another world....yeah, he was kidnapped.
Thinking that what was in store for him was either being sold for his organs, sold for slave labor, sold for sex slave labor, or possibly all of the above Lucky immediately felt his blood run cold. In fact he'd have tried to make a break for it if it wasn't three things. One, if he really was kidnapped then running would only get him killed or tortured, and neither of those options were actually options. Two, he wasn't nearly stupid enough to run out into the snow given how he was dressed—a plain white t-shirt, black shorts and slippers—if he went out dressed like that then Lucky wouldn't need to worry about his kidnappers killing him; the cold would do it for them. Third, and probably the one which stopped him in the first place, was the appearance of the people in the room as well as his supposed captors.
For a bunch of would be slaves the people in the room were surprisingly well dressed and not filthy or terrified like he'd imagine victims of an abduction would be—in fact all ten of them appeared to be pretty calm—and his captors were even stranger. Lucky assumed that the three that were standing off to one side of the cabin simply because of their presence, while the other ten were more or less calm these three gave of the feeling of being in control, as if the situation was something they were used to. Aside from their presence what really stood out was their wardrobe and equipment.
The group was made of a man, a woman, and, strangely enough, what appeared to be a young boy. The man had dark brown skin, wore mirrored purple shades, sported a large full afro and was dressed in what could only be described as "Michael Jackson meets Elvis at the disco" getup. If that wasn't enough to dumbfound Lucky, the Elvis Jackson impersonator was arguing, quite loudly, with a woman over a topic which Lucky thought to be strangest thing kidnappers would ever argue about. Cup noodles......
As for the woman Lucky thought she was quite beautiful. The woman's full crimson lips stood out on her porcelain skin, her silky hair fell like a curtain over her the delicate features while her eyes were like two bright green lighthouses piercing the night. The woman was without a doubt beautiful but, like her colleagues she was dressed quite odd. Her hair which was black from the roots slowly transformed into waves of multicolored rainbows the farther it got from her scalp, upon which she wore a white hat with a bright red M in the middle of it. She was dressed in a skintight outfit, every bit as multicolored as her hair was, that made Lucky feel both confused and aroused at its design.

The last member of the group of three, the child, was strangely the only member of the trio that actually seemed like an abductor. He was dressed in a plain black hoodie and jeans with matching leather gloves and combat boots. From the opening in the hoodie Lucky could see that the he was also wearing a tight fitting vest that he could only assume to be kevlar or some other bulletproof material, but what made the kid seem like an abductor the most was the fact that he was wearing awas mask. Not the fake looking horror mask kind but the plain featureless kind. The mask was black and covered the majority of the kid's face and neck making it seem like there was nothing under the hoodie. Actually, thinking back on it the kid probably looked less like a kidnapper and more like a full blown Criminal Minds type over-the-top serial killer....but that still wasn't what stood out the most.
What stood out the most to Lucky was the sword in the child's hand....the sword in the child's hands. It was a sight which, coupled with the two other strangely dressed kidnappers, made Lucky wonder if he was just dreaming—the cold that was seepingthe seeped into the cabin from the outside proved he was not. Lucky couldn't believe his eyes, it wasn't just that a child with a sword was unusual enough but the scale of the sword itself was inconceivable. It was both taller and wider than Lucky and probably weighed more than twice his weight. Even stranger than the ease the child handled the sword was the fact that Lucky recognized it. The sword in the child's hands looked exactly like Dragonslayer from Berserk!
This dumbfounded Lucky the most as he knew that a sword that size is not just impossible to make but also equally impossible for any normal person to wield! Any possibility of the sword being fake or made of lighter materials disappeared when, upon seeing Lucky had woken up, the child let go of the sword which crashed onto the floor with a bang making the cabin tremble.
He was in a daze as the child approached him, leaving the sword where it fell. Lucky felt all sorts of thoughts and emotions run through his body the closer the child got to him. What was going on? What was this child? What was he going to do to him?
The result was pretty lackluster. The child didn't do anything except tell him to stand with the other people in the room. He probably said something else as well but Lucky was too relieved that nothing worse was going to happen that he missed out on what the child was saying, but he did take note that the child's voice was definitely altered—most likely via the mask he was wearing. Not wanting to take any risks, Lucky thought against asking the child to repeat his words and hurriedly made his way to stand with the other ten people. After he was sure that nothing else would happen his mind cleared up enough to analyze the situation and clear organize his thoughts leading to his current state of mind....confused as fuck.
First of what on earth are these guys!? They look more like cosplayers or performance artist than kidnappers. But if those three aren't kidnappers than how the fuck did I end up here? And why would these ten not try to escape? With me that makes eleven but even before I woke up these guys easily outnumber the kidnappers by a huge number. So why hasn't anyone made any moves to escape? I don't see any guns, and even though that sword is intimidating it still shouldn't be enough to prevent at least a few from trying.... Wait. When I woke up everyone was already awake, something must have happened while I was asleep to keep them so docile. Was someone killed? I can't smell any blood but throwing him out in the snow would be enough... Dammit! Why was I last to wake up! Now everyone's eyes are on me! If anyone is gonna be made an example of it'd definitely be me!

Even after thinking as hard as he could about it Lucky couldn't come to any conclusion. Thinking he was kidnapped was an easy assumption to make but nothing in how the people acted supported it. If anything the calm atmosphere of, what he assumed to be, his fellow captives and the overly flashy clothing of his would be captors only served to make him doubt himself even more! He doubted to such a degree that he wondered if he really was even kidnapped. There were pranks like this online. He'd laughed to a lot of them; the reactions of the people were priceless. Still that idea seemed equally far fetched as being kidnapped and summoned to another world was.
Lucky was trying his best not to panic but his efforts were quickly failing the more he thought about his situation. The impossibility of what had happened, the possible threat to his life, his family who might lose their son. His thoughts got worse and worse as he thought about all the possible outcomes this would end, and his body's state began to match his mind.
He started to shake. It wasn't the cold from the outside it was fear. Fear of what would happened. That fear caused his arms and legs to shiver uncontrollably, his back to drip with a cold sweat, his breath to weaken and heart to falter. Lucky tried to reign it in as best he could but the best he could do was to prevent himself from collapsing. This made him even more afraid. If he collapsed what would his captors do to him?
"Jesus, Jack, you might want to speak up now? The newbie looks like he's gonna have a heart attack."
The sudden voice caused Lucky's head to snap in attention. It clearly came from the rainbow colored woman, but who was she talking to? Was Jack the tacky looking Disco Jackson or the faceless midget Guts?
"Was just about to, Miria. I was just checking out the new batch of newbies. Quite impressive. No one fainted. No one tried to attack us. All in all a pretty good batch." The faceless midget replied. "Still, I think Vic might have lost some brain cells last mission. How is this newbie good enough to join the main team?" Jack pointed at Lucky's shaking form.
"Hmm.... You right there," Miria replied staring right at Lucky. "Hey, Vic. You sure you got the right one? This guy doesn't look anything like 'having some fight in him' or 'possible member to me."
"Well that can't be right! He had the balls to try to punch me, of course he has fight in him! After all, given how I look who would dare try to attack me! He's probably just shocked. My power did seem to affect him a bit more than the others." Vic the dark skinned Elvis answered back.
"Ha, so it's your fault after all! Nice job, Vic! Breaking a high class newbie off the bat. I can't wait to see what the main team is gonna do to you!"
"Shut up, you low class rainbow pony bitch! If the main team is gonna punish anyone it's gonna be you! Don't you think the development team is gonna mind the thousands of points and the rewards you spent on that useless robot of yours, Miria? I don't even know why you got that magical enhancement when all you buy is scientific equipment anyway!" Vic the angry disco King said back.
"Your one to talk! You spent a C Rank reward upgrading that ridiculous getup of yours. And don't even think about saying it's for your power to work! It's your fault for putting such a stupid ass condition in the first place!" The rainbow bitch replied.
"Again, could the both you shut up." came the annoyed robotic voice of the child. "What do I keep telling you about having useless arguments during missions? Were supposed to look either threatening or respectable enough to recruit some good members. Now, do the two of you idiots look anything remotely respectable or threatening? Your clothes are ridiculous enough. At the very least could you try to look more respectable and less like the idiotic pieces of shit you are."
Lucky didn't know what to make of the scene in front of him. In all honesty, it seemed like one big comedy sketch and whatever fear he felt was replaced by barely contained laughter. He looked around and saw that many of the people he was standing with were having the same problem—faces red from holding in their laughter at the ridiculous scene playing out in front of them.
"Sorry, boss." Vic said, "We got a bit too carried away there."
"Yeah, sorry, Jack," continued Miria. "It's my fault for being pulled into this idiot's flow."
"What did you say, bitch!"
"Enough!" Jack shouted. "Just be quiet and let me explain things to the newbies. Please tell me you can do that?" Jack said rubbing the part of his mask where the forehead would be.
Without waiting for their response Jack immediately turned to face Lucky and the others. "Now, I am sure you all have questions to ask but frankly I don't care. What I am going to tell you will probably answer whatever questions you might have anyway and if it doesn't then I'll be happy to answer them...after the mission's over. So without further fuss I would like to welcome you all to God's Dimension. It will be your worst hell or your best paradise, but like it or not it is now your new home. Those who survive this mission will become a member of Team 66 alongside Vic, Miria and me. And in case you were wondering what I meant by surviving I mean making it to the end of this mission without dying. Yes. You may die. In fact out of the ten of you only around two to four will make it out of here alive. If you survive this mission you have the chance to get stronger and obtain special powers and equipments, take my sword as an example. As for what is God's Dimension is even I don't know so do don't bother asking. Basically all I've said can be summed up into three points. Point one: you're here and there is nothing you can do about it so don't bitch. Point two: you will either die as you are now—weak and worthless—or you will survive and become stronger. And point three......well I guess there are only two points actually. So, did I miss anything?.... Oh, yeah! If you wanna check what the mission is, look at the watches on your right wrist. Thats your marker as a player of God's Dimension it will fill you in on the mission, your current stats and your point balance. I guess that's all. So, any questions?"
"..............."

Authors note
Hello guys! This is the first official chapter! Yay! Lets all say yay for the beginning of a, hopefully, long running series on Royal Road—our favorite provider of self-insert OP MC stories. (That was a joke btw) Also I figured how to make a poll! (It's literally a button at the bottom labeled "I want to make a poll"...) But I can't really make a good poll until I get further enough into the story for people to actually give a crap on what they vote for. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and please comment. Comments=author food. yummy, yummy. Also I hope you don't mind the rushed info dump. I know it's lazy writing but I didn't think you guys would want to read a copy paste of the summary on the story page.
Editor's note
Hah! Bet you guys are so confused “where the heck is michael” don't worry dear readers everything will be ogre soon. (reference to shrek is love shrek is life)
