Jack woke up after hearing the knock at the door; he got off from the bed and opened the door.

Harry smiled and said, “You are one brave fellow. You didn’t even run away.”

Sam smiled and said, “I came here as a friend but if I am not welcome then I will leave.”

Jack turned back and went inside the shop, Sam also went towards the shop but he was grabbed by Lisa.

“Where are you going? He didn’t say to come in.” Lisa said worriedly.

“I know him very well; if he doesn’t speak then it means that he has agreed.”

Sam and Lisa entered inside the shop, Jack pointed at a table and said, “Sit over there.”

Jack entered inside the kitchen and called his mother, after few minutes Mary came out with tea.

Mary smiled and said, “Sam, How have you been?”

“I am well Aunty” Sam replied politely.

“Is she your girlfriend?” Mary said looking at Lisa.

“No, she is just a friend.”

“You talk with Jack; I will go and buy some things in the market.” Mary said.

After few minutes Mary left, Jack closed the shop and sat down to talk with Sam.

‘Tell me, Why you came here?” Jack asked.

“I request you to protect Mr. Edward and Sara.” Sam stood up and bowed.

“No I won’t.” Jack refused without hesitation.

“You are friends with Sara aren’t you?” Sam shouted.

Jack put his fingers near his lips and said, “Don’t shout.”

Sam calmed down; he sat down and said, “Why?”

Jack shrugged and said, “I don’t want to risk my life for a girl.”

“I never knew that you were so heartless and selfish. I am disappointed in you Jack.” Sam said with a sad voice.

“I don’t care about your opinion, besides everyone is selfish and heartless.”

“Who are you referring to?” Sam asked.

“The old man, Sara, you. You knew that they were coming yet you organized a party and involved the people to act as a shield. If I hadn’t killed the one guarding the door then there would be death of many children, woman and men that were there just to enjoy the party.” Jack said calmly.

Sam and Lisa didn’t look at the face of Jack because what he said was correct. Jack wasn’t a hero and he would kill people but he would never involve innocent people in his fight.

“You can leave now.” Jack stood up and opened the door.

Sam and Lisa were about to leave when Jack asked, “When are they coming?”

Sam looked back and said, “We have information that they will attack after 4 days.”

Jack nodded; Sam and Lisa left the shop and went away. Lisa stooped Sam and asked, “He was silent again, and does that mean he will help us?”

Sam scratched his hair and said, “I am not sure.”

Lisa had a serious look, “If he doesn’t help then we will die.”
