The next day Jack woke up early and went to the kitchen to prepare some tea. His mother still hadn’t woken up so after making tea he knocked on the door, Mary opened the door and Jack called her to have tea.

“Listen Jack, I will go out today so I won’t open the shop. You stay at home and study.” Mary said.

“Where are you going?” Jack asked.

“I have some work to do.” Mary stood up and went to her room.

Jack didn’t believe her so he decided to follow her; he will send a bee after his mother. Mary got dressed and she went somewhere, Jack summoned a bee and made it follow her. Jack wanted to take control of the bee but the bell from the door stopped him from doing so, he then went and opened the door.

The one ringing the bell was a woman that looked around early twenties, she was average looking but her body was very great.

“Who are you?” Jack asked.

“I am a police officer.” The woman said.

Jack was confused on why a police was at his door so he stood there thinking; the woman thought that Jack didn’t believe her so she took out the badge and showed him.

“Please, Come in.” Jack smiled.

The woman came inside and sat on the sofa, Jack brought her cold water to drink and he also sat on the sofa opposite to her.

“Can I ask why you have come here?” Jack said.

The woman nodded and gave Jack a package, Jack opened the package and saw some photographs of him with Rex. Jack expression didn’t change and he was calm, the woman was watching Jack closely but he didn’t show any change so she was surprised.

“That is you in the photo, isn’t it?” The woman asked.

“Yes it is.” Jack nodded.

“Do you know who that person is?” The woman asked.

“Yes I know him; he is my friend’s uncle.”

The woman sighed and took back the photos; she then looked at Jack and asked, “What were you doing there yesterday?”

“My friend had forgotten something in that house so he called me to take it for him. After I took it Uncle Rex dropped me home.” Jack said without hesitation.

“Who is your friend?” The woman asked.

“His name is Frank and his father is friend with Uncle Rex.”

The woman stood up and said, “I have checked your background and you are a good man, you shouldn’t make any further connection with that man. You get it?”

“But Why?” Jack asked.

“You shouldn’t know that.” The woman went and opened the door.

Jack ran and asked, “Miss I don’t know your name.”

“My name is Rose.” The woman said as she left.

Jack smiled and closed the door; he had a good impression of her. She didn't suspect him but advised him not to mix with gangsters ; he knew that Rose was watching Rex so he decided not to meet with him for some time.

Jack entered the space and took control of the bee, he saw his mother at the roof top restaurant waiting for someone. He flew under the table and stayed there to know who his mother was talking to, after few minutes someone came.

“Mary, how have you been?” A man said.

 “I am good and how are you George?”

Jack couldn’t see as he was under the table but he could hear them talk, they both sat down and began talking.

“Mary, I don’t have much time so I will tell you frankly. The reason I came here today is to bring you home.” George said.

“I don’t want to go back.” Mary said without hesitation.

“You have been saying this for 5 years, we let you marry the person that you liked but he is dead.”

“So what.” Mary shouted.

“Father and Mother have arranged a marriage for you. You are still young, you should get married again.”

“I have a son and I don’t want to marry anyone.” Mary refused.

“I just came to deliver the news; the person that will be marrying you is coming tomorrow so you tell him yourself.”

“I will.” Mary sneered.

George sighed and said, “I also don’t want you to marry that man, I did tell father and mother what kind of person that man is but they want to use you to gain profit.”

George stood up and decide to leave, he walked a few steps but turned back and said, “He is a beast and will do anything so it is best to keep your son away from him and I am sorry I can’t help you.”

George left but Mary didn’t stand up, she was crying in silence. Tears were dropping from her eyes, Jack could hear his mother crying and he was really furious at his mother’s parents. His mother hadn’t said anything to him about her family but even if she did he wouldn’t care because to him his mother is everything and the rest of her family is nothing.

Mary stood up and left the restaurant and headed home, Jack ordered the bee to return home and he was back to his body. He exited from the space and sat on the sofa.

Jack looked at the ceiling and said, “If you are a beast then I am the devil himself. If you dare touch my mother then I won’t just kill you I will destroy you.”

Mary returned home after sometime, she quickly entered her room and took out a suitcase. She then entered Jack’s room and packed his clothes in the suitcase. Mary came out and gave the suitcase to Jack.

“Jack I want you to go live in a hotel for some days.” Mary said seriously.

“But Why Mom?” Jack pretended not to know anything.

Mary gave a bank card to Jack and told him the password; Jack didn’t want to leave so he didn’t take the card. Mary was desperate and wanted her son to leave but he just wouldn’t so she slapped Jack.

Jack was shocked because his mother had never once slapped him; Jack took the suitcase and left the house. Tears were falling from Mary’s eyes and she was apologizing to Jack, Jack didn’t go very far as he calmed down very soon. All his anger was directed to the man that is coming tomorrow.

“Son of a bitch!!! Because of you I got slapped. You just pray that I don't find you.” Jack shouted and entered the space.
