For the next three days Jack stayed at home, he also convinced his mother to let Eve stay at their house for few months and she willingly agreed. Jack felt very relaxed since he didn’t have to worry about anything, a million dollar was transferred to his account today so he decided to contact Rex and make plans to take over the underworld. Jack was in his room studying when his phone rang; he looked at the number and smiled.

“Hello, who are you?” Jack asked.

“Bastard don’t joke with me, how can you forget your only friend.” A voice shouted from the phone.

“We don’t chat daily so how can I remember you.” Jack laughed.

“Well, I just called to say that I am leaving tomorrow.”

“Where are you going Shiv?” Jack asked curiously.

“I know that I won’t pass the final exams so I decided to join the army.”

“There will be many difficulties in the army, why don’t you take care of your father’s business?” Jack reminded him.

“It is a decision I made after thinking a lot.” Shiv sighed.

“I wish you all the best, keep in touch.” Jack said.

“Yeah, let’s meet in the future.” Shiv ended the call.

Jack didn’t have many friends and Shiv was someone that he considered as a friend but he also didn’t have a strong bond with him. They were just friends in name so Shiv joining the army and leaving didn’t bother him.

Jack didn’t feel like reading anymore so he called Rex and told him to meet at Wang’s place in the afternoon. Jack decided to go to Wang’s place right now and wait for Rex there, he said to his mother that he had something to do and left the house. Eve wanted to go with him as well but he decided not to take her, she was not willing to stay behind so he gave her the most important mission and that is to protect his mother. She agreed and stayed behind.

Jack reached Wang’s place very soon as he had taken a taxi, he was a rich man now so there was no need to travel through public bus. Wang wasn’t at home but he had called and let the guards know that someone named Jack is coming, after the guards confirmed the identity they let him enter inside the house.

There were only servants inside the house; they didn’t talk with him so he was getting bored. Jack sat down on the sofa to relax but after sometime he fell asleep, after few hours of sleep he woke up. Wang and Rex had already arrived but they didn’t wake up Jack and started talking about their past, when they saw Jack waking up they stood up and waited.

“What time is it?” Jack asked drowsily.

“Master its 3:38.” Wang replied looking at his watch.

“Alright, let’s start the meeting. You two tell me what is happening?” Jack sat straight and signaled the two to sit down as well.

Wang was the first one to speak, “Master, someone is attacking us. The police are also moving against us and I can’t help you as the order is from above but I can warn you before they move.”

“The police aren’t the problem; the real problem is to find the one attacking us. Do you suspect anyone?” Jack asked.

“Master, I think that someone from my gang is betraying us.” Rex spoke.

“If that is the case then find them” Jack said seriously.

“I have ordered a meeting tonight and all of my people will be there.”

“I will be joining the meeting as well.” Jack stood up.

“Master it may be dangerous, if there are enemies within us then they will strike tonight.” Rex tried to stop Jack from participating.

“Don’t worry you just give me a gun, I will take care of myself.” Jack smiled.

Wang went to the room and brought a gun, he then gave it to Jack. Jack took the gun and looked at it; he had used a gun previously so he was calm about touching a gun, Jack needed Eve in case of emergency so he called his mother. After few rings the phone was picked up.

“Hello Jack, what happened?” Mary asked.

“Mom I may come back late. I am with my friends.”

“Don’t stay out too late, you have exams coming.” Mary shouted.

“Mom I will come back as soon as I can. Can you pass the phone to Eve?”

Mary then gave the phone to Eve, “Hello jack what happened?” Eve asked.

“Eve I want you to meet me at the market, you wait for me at the front of the supermarket.” Jack said.

“Alright I will be there.” Eve agreed.

Jack ended the call and asked Rex, “When is the meeting?”

“It is at 7, at my house.”

Jack nodded and said, “Let’s go.”

Jack entered the car and Rex drove it, they left Wang’s house and headed towards the market to pick up Eve. Eve was already at the market waiting for Jack, after Jack reached the market he brought Eve to the car and they headed towards the meeting place.

There were no guards at Rex’s house, many people fled after the attack. When jack entered inside he saw no one, so he asked.

“Why isn’t anyone here?”

“I sent the workers home.” Rex replied.

“Alright Rex, you call the people you trust right now so that we can prepare.”

“Yes Master.” Rex took out his phone and called few people.

After some 20 minutes, 8 people arrived. Some were middle aged and some were very young, Jack really wished that he had his identify skill as that skill would really come in handy at this moment. Jack didn’t trust a single one of them and he was wary, he was a normal human right now and if they attacked he would surely die but to gain points he had to take some risk.

Jack stepped forward and said, “Gentlemen we have some things to do.”

Everyone looked at him, Rex and Eve were eager to hear whereas the eight men were bit confused.
