《Terror Explored (a terror infinity fanfic)》End of Harry Potter

Logan was having a bad day, it started out fine, but it didn’t last long. Waking up in the world of Harry Potter Logan had high hopes for the team. He had thought they would spend the day exploring the castle and maybe a few of the team could go to the nearby village. They had exchanged the various metals that had made up the wizard’s currency, mostly gold in hopes they could trade for some magical items. This plan however went flying out the window when one of the newbies came running to him, saying the courtyard was under attack.
After he had handled that situation, Logan was fully intending to find the horcrux and end the movie immediately. Lance however convinced him and the rest of the team to seek out bonus missions before the movie ended. Logan wasn’t sure how Josh’s mission had gone but his had been a pain. He had never been in real danger but given he didn’t know how long he had to fight Logan limited how serious he got to avoid early exhaustion. The only bright side was between the bonus mission and reward for killing the juvenile basilisk Logan had made up the points and rewards he had spent on Lance’s plans. Logan was still uneasy about the teen; Lance had proven to be intelligent and intuitive, but he never seemed completely open with anyone. Vastly different to Josh who wore his emotions on his sleeve. Both he considered welcome additions to the team, though Lance was he held responsible for his bad day.
After surviving his bonus mission Logan was hoping to take a few hours to rest before going after the horcrux. Unfortunately, he was immediately forced to descend into the chamber of secrets to try and save the remaining newbies. He had managed to find two when he descended with Matt, having to kill a juvenile basilisk to save the newbies. After seeing a far larger basilisk in one of the chamber Logan had sent the newbies back to the entrance and went after the basilisk with just Matt.
This brought him to his current situation where he stood with Matt in the largest chamber they’ve seen beneath the castle. A variety of statues and pools of water dotted the room, almost exactly like it appeared in the movie. There was no sign of the serpent they had seen. A young man with black hair stood at the end of the room, a dark leather book laid at his feet.
“Tom Riddle I assume” Logan called out, his voice echoing through the room.
“That’s correct” the spirit called back “you’re the team sent to stop me?” he let out a mocking laugh.
“We are” Logan said, walking farther into the room “Can we just make this easy?”
“Easy?” Tom laughed again “this will be extremely easy for my pet”
Above the players the sound of scales rubbing over stone began. Matt began to lift his head to look at what was above them, but Logan roughly pushed his head down.
“Don’t look” the leader ordered “I think that’s the mother”
“Yes, I am” a chilling voice came from above them “I sent one of my favorite children to handle the rest of your team”
“The newbies” Matt said suddenly
“They’ll have to handle it on their own” Logan decided “we’re about to have our hand filled”
Unseen to the two team members a colossal serpent was slithering down the walls behind Tom Riddle. It length couldn’t be less than fifty feet and it was wide enough to drive a car down its back. It also had a large hood on its head, making it look more like a cobra than the other basilisks.

“Hey mother basilisk” Logan called out suddenly “how about we make a deal?”
“What kind of deal?” the monster hissed back
“All we want is that journal on the ground” the leader explained “if you let us have it, we’ll leave the castle and you’ll be free to do whatever you wish”
“Not a chance” Tom Riddle responded
“I agree” the basilisk said “you have already killed so many of my children. I must avenge them.”
“Worth a shot” Logan said with a shrug. Logan was not as worried about this fight as Matt was. Logan’s dragonslayer enhancement was more than just a powerful magic. Dragonslayer magic was invented to put people on the same level as dragons in all aspects. Even without channeling any magic a dragonslayer’s body is influenced by the magic, improving their senses drastically. Logan may not be able to use his eyes, but his other senses left him far from helpless. Combined with the unlocked mode Logan had already deduced how big the mother basilisk was and where exactly she was currently.
“I’ll back you up the best I can” Matt said while opening his spell book.
“Don’t move for right now” Logan ordered “Target my voice if I ask for an attack spell, otherwise prepare to put a barrier around you at any time”
“Understood” Matt agreed.
Without another word Logan rushed forward, directly towards the mother basilisk. The monster also charged forward; its hood fully extended. The basilisk shot its head forward in an attempt to bite Logan but the dragonslayer let out a roar directly down the serpent’s throat. The attack didn’t cause lethal damage but the flesh inside was hurt enough to force the basilisk to shut its mouth. Logan charged the rest of the distance between them, his skin turning into jade scales as he ran. With a powerful slash the dragonslayer created a long gash on the serpent’s snout. The mother basilisk let out a pained hiss and raised its head away from the team leader.
Logan slashed out once more, leaving another wound on the serpent’s underbelly before having to jump back as the snake’s tail came swinging at him. After the tail crashed into the ground Logan had been standing, the dragonslayer jumped to the side and attacked again.
“Strong attack” he yelled as he left a wound on the serpent.
“Gou Saisu” Matt cast his strongest attack spell where he heard Logan’s voice. A crescent shape energy attack came from the semi-mamodo’s hand striking just after Logan jumped to the side again. The attack didn’t hit the wound dead center, but it did make contact and elected a pained hiss. Logan and Matt continued this tactic several more times, relying on the leader’s senses and instincts to avoid damage. After the fifth spell from Matt hitting an open wound the mother basilisk let out a loud series of hisses. Logan paused as the hissing came to an end, he could hear something moving in the tunnels around them.
A mature basilisk came from the tunnels above the rooms, quickly making its way down the wall. Two juvenile basilisks came from lower tunnels, both aiming directly for Matt.
“Shield now!” Logan ordered as soon as he heard the basilisks enter.
Matt instantly cast Seoshi and the translucent dome appeared around him. A moment later the juvenile basilisks arrived and tackled the barrier. Cracks appeared in the dome, but Matt poured in heart energy to repair them. Logan tried to rush towards his teammate, but the mature and mother basilisk began to attack as a team. The dragonslayer relied heavily on the instincts he gained from the unlocked mode to avoid getting hit, the two opponents requiring him to reach the peak of the first stage.

Matt waited patiently in his dome, without sight all he could rely on was his hearing. His senses were not nearly as developed as Logan’s were. His ability with the unlocked mode was also far below his leader’s. In fact, he only had a few moments before he would have to exit the state he was in and suffer the recoil of unlocking his constraint. Another series of hits struck the barrier, the juvenile basilisks still trying to reach their prey were hammering into the dome with their tails. Matt was beginning to consider exiting his dome and trying to take on the basilisks attacking him when a shout from the tunnels grabbed his attention.
Josh came charging into the large room, his eyes unfocused but targeting the two juvenile basilisks. He struck a powerful blow on one of the basilisks, his lighting and strength causing more damage to the younger monster than the matured version. The blow sent the beast into a fit of twitching, the lighting in its body causing muscle spasms. The other basilisk swiped its tail to try and defend its sibling, but the blow was easily dodged. Josh retaliated with a blow of his own.
As this fight was on the opposite side of the battle Logan was in Matt risked a peak at what was happening. He looked just in time to watch Josh bring his hammer down directly on one of the basilisks head, lightning crackled as it entered the beast and electrocuted it. With another swing of his hammer Josh killed the remaining juvenile. Matt was stunned as he watched the jock easily kill two magical beast. It was always amazing to see how much of a difference the unlocked mode makes on a person.
Unfortunately, this power came with a steep price. Matt was reminded of this as Josh collapsed and began to shake violently. The mammodo cursed and dropped his dome, rushing to the fallen teen with a healing spell prepared. The magic sword pierced into Josh and Matt was sure the magic worked as usual, but nothing changed about Josh’s condition. The mammodo was worried for the jock, while he had gained some enhancements from God his physical stats were pretty low. Josh could die from the unlocking process at this rate. Matt let out a sigh and tucked his book into the back of his pants. The only way to guarantee Josh’s survival was to get him back to the lobby for healing. So, Matt decided to take a more active role in the fight.
“Oru Naguru Shirudo” he cast his strongest spell and the circular shield appeared on his forearm. Closing his eyes, the young man charged forward to the sound of battle.
Logan hadn’t been having an easy time with the fight, the addition of a second basilisk forcing him to remain on the defense more than he would like. He was managing a few hits and hadn’t taken any direct damage but the longer the fight went on the more danger the rest of the team would be in. He had heard someone else enter the room and fight by Matt, but he couldn’t spare enough focus to determine who it was. Suddenly Logan could hear something flying at him, he dodged to the left just in time to avoid a circular shield flying past him and striking the mature basilisk. Matt had joined the fight.
“We need to end this quickly” Matt said as his shield bounced and returned to him “Josh unlocked his constraint. I don’t know if his body can handle the stress for long”
Logan mentally paused at the information. This was only Josh’s second movie, yet he had already unlocked his constraint. That was a new record for Logan, it wasn’t until his third movie that he unlocked his own. Did Josh have stronger potential than he thought? Or were the movie difficulties pushing for a faster growth? Either way Josh was now more than ever a strong asset for the team and the leader couldn’t risk him dying. The dragonslayer was tempted to enter his dragon force state but decided against it. Instead he would not hold back.
Landing from another dodge Logan let out a grunt, his arms and legs began to swell nearly doubling in size. This was the second stage of the unlocked mode, the ability to fully control one’s body. Entering the second stage also boosted the prowess of the first stage. Logan could sense a tail coming down at him from above, but he didn’t move. The tail crashed down on the dragonslayer, but he did not budge. Instead he caught the tail in his arms. With ease the dragonslayer threw the tail to the side, the force from the throw moving over half the snake. In the next moment Logan vanished, reappearing in front of the serpent’s face. A powerful punch forced the snake’s head to the floor, Logan glowing with his green magic came falling after it. A large blade of jade formed from his hands and using the momentum from the fall Logan pierced the mature basilisk’s head. Unseen the dragonslayer channeled magic into the blade and multiple smaller blades branched out from the original, piercing easily through the monster’s brain and killing it.
Logan allowed the magic blade to fade away before pulling his hands free and turning to the mother basilisk. The monster was enraged seeing one of her oldest children killed but she also shook with fear at the sudden change of power. The dragonslayer gave a vicious smile and launched at the mother basilisk.
Matt stood to the side, relying on his hearing and instincts to understand what was happening. As far as he could tell Logan was doing a lot of damage on his own. Whenever a loud hiss came from the basilisk Matt would throw his shield in that direction, doing minimal damage but still helping slightly. The sound of footsteps behind him brough Matt’s attention away from the fight.
Lance, Eve, and Crystal arrived in the room, after a brief glance the trio all closed their eyes to avoid the basilisk’s gaze. With her brief glance Eve had noticed Josh on the ground and led the other two towards him. Lance began to channel his faith energy into his stepbrother hoping it would ease the burden of unlocking the genetic constraint.
A loud cry of anger came from the other side of the room as Logan pierced through the mother basilisk’s skull and killed the powerful monster. Tom Riddle stood against the wall, his diary still on the ground. The spirit was extremely weak, without his horcrux weakening a person’s mental defenses it had no means of defending itself.
“Basilisk is dead” Logan called out, opening his eyes, and focusing on the spirit.
“You’ll pay for this” Tom promised, hatred burned from his gaze.
“Yeah I’m not worried” Logan dismissed nonchalantly. With a jump the dragonslayer approached the basilisk corpse and opened its mouth. Breaking off one of its fangs the leader made his way to the diary.
“Wait!” Lance called out
“No!” Logan stated without stopping “We’re done here”
Tom Riddle’s spirit tried to step between the diary and dragonslayer, but Logan easily maneuvered around it and stabbed into the horcrux.
In an instant the setting changed, everyone on the team found themselves back in the lobby, the dying cry of the spirit still ringing in their ears.
Seven people stood in the lobby under God. Josh was still unconscious laying on the ground though he had stopped shaking. Matt soon joined him, no longer being in any danger left him unable to hold on to the unlocked mode.
“God heal everyone” Logan ordered and looked around as beams of light lifted everyone on the team. It was then that he noticed the numbers didn’t add up.
“What happened to Gwen?” He asked once he was lowered to the ground. Only Lance, Eve, and Crystal were back on the floor at that point. Lance gave a saddened sigh and filled in what had happened in the chamber. Logan looked noticeably saddened by the death but quickly hid it as his daughter came out from a room. The young girl was crying and ran into her father’s arms.
“I was so scared” she said between sobs “Hector and I were playing and then suddenly he was gone. I thought he was playing a game, but I couldn’t find him, and I couldn’t go in their room anymore”
“It’s okay sweetie” Logan comforted the young child “Hector went with Gwen and stayed in the last movie. They’re together now. I’m sorry it scared you”
Lance filled Crystal in on Robin and her origin while the father and daughter talked.
“Let’s call it a break for now” Logan said, picking up Robin and walking to the room “We’ll discuss exchanges tomorrow”
The conversation was suddenly interrupted by the sound of a door slamming shut. Elijah had been the least injured in the movie and had been the first one done with healing. After listening to Logan, the young man had gone into a room and clearly wasn’t interested in talking with anyone.
“We’ll deal with that too” Logan said with a sigh. Without another word the leader entered his room.
“That was not the ending I was hoping for” Lance said with disappointment.
“We did get a lot done though” Eve said, looking at Matt and Josh’s beams of light changed color. Healing the damage done from unlocking the genetic constraint.
“Yes, we did” Lance nodded “we have a lot to work with for the future movies”
“So, we’re safe here?” Crystal asked, the toll of the long day started to weigh on her.
“Yes” Lance confirmed “We have ten days before we enter the next movie. Tomorrow we can figure out your enhancements”
“Awesome” Crystal said “So what do we do about this”
The young woman held up an item that made Lance and Eve do a double take. In the chaos that had preceded the end of the movie this item was not forgotten but dismissed as not important in the moment. Lance had assumed it was gone, left behind as it belonged to the movie but there it was. Crystal held Rowena Ravenclaw’s Diadem in her hands.
