Chapter 10: Goodbye Home

After the Strangers had left the house I would go downstairs, looking around to make sure they were all gone for now at least, I would pack my bag I made the day before and take everything edible from the kitchen, I looked around to see if there were anything else I might take with me, I ended up having some bread, an apple a few cans of water, a hunting knife, which was my father's knife, some extra clothes, and the families old camping tent, they sometimes went into the forest and camped there for fun, but now this time I would need it to survive outside of this house since it was no longer safe to stay here any longer, the strangers may go upstairs next time they return to check if there is blood upstairs or worse they might be looking for survivors to feed the creatures? I did not know if they were with the creature or not, but all I knew is I did not want to wait to find out, I had everything I could stuff into my bag with the tent, I would check again if nobody was outside, after knowing for sure nobody was nearby, I would step outside, looking back at the house, ''Goodbye home'', as I left into the forest, it was still in the early morning I told my self to make it quick so I might reach the next town before dark, as I head more into the forest I would look back once more at the house, where I lived for the past 16 years, and where this story began.
