Ran's POV

He forcefully stripped me.... I began to cry when he pulled my pants down... I've never felt so embarrassed in my life. He honestly looks surprised that I'm a girl.

I was mad at him but I quickly got over it the next morning. I think he's still worried about it.

He doesn't talk to me. He is usually the one that initiates the conversation. We stay silent throughout the entire trip.

After we eat at the restaurant he asks me for his forgiveness. I forgave him a while ago but I choose to answer after I finish eating. His mood seems a lot better now.

We get a room at an inn. We take separate baths this time. I'm thankful. When it is time to sleep I crawl up in the bed next to him. I feel safe when I sleep next to him.

Day 119 continued

"Excuse me but can we apply to be adventurers here?"-Me

"Yeah sure. I'm the branch manager of this guild. Name's Cain. Follow me."-Cain

We follow him to a room in the back.

"Okay so now I'm going to I'm going to explain to you the rules of being an adventurer. Okay first of all there are ranks in the guild. Kind of like a hierarchy. There is F,E,D,C,B,A, and S. You can rank up as an adventurer by the amount of quests you do and the quality of the work you do. So if you are really strong you can rank up fairly quickly. Also there are quests with the same ranking system. The higher the rank the more dangerous the quest but the more money you will earn.

You can only take on quests that are either your same rank or one above or below you so as to now create any unfairness for lower ranking adventurers.

Okay now I'm going to hand you your status plates. You put your blood on it to create a contract and It will show you how strong you are and your guild rank."-Cain

"Ummm... I have one already."-Me

"Oh. How did you get one?"-Cain

"An adventurer died and so I took his status plate and put my blood on it because I wanted to see how strong I was."-Me

"Hmmm.... *suspicious look* Okay but can I have that back."-Cain

"Sure. *hands him the status plate*"-Me

"Okay now here are you status plates. There is a job bulletin board in the main room. Now off you go."-Cain

'Whew that was close. good thing he didn't ask me how the adventurer died and where I came from.'

We both activate our status cards and it glows and shows us our status.

Hmm... It seems like I am a bit stronger than Ran and she is 6 years old..

We got to the bulletin board. People are staring at us but I ignore them. I found a Rank E quest. It says to hunt 10 goblins in the forest and to bring back their left ears. I take it off the bulletin board and we head out.

It takes about an hour to get to the forest and our hunt begins.

It was seriously boring and easy... Within about 20 minutes walking into the forest we find an goblin camp. The goblins are about 4-5 feet in height, are green and have pointed ears and sharp teeth. There seems to be about 30 of them. I have a plan and tell it to Ran.

She goes to the opposite side of the camp.We erect wall of earth using earth magic and surround the entire camp with walls in a circular formation so that they can't escape. We use earth bullets and slaughter them all. I seriously felt bad for theses goblins.

We cut off the ears and loot whatever items that seem useful to sell and we find some gold and take it.

We return to the guild building in about 3 hours.

"Here you go for the Goblin extermination quest."-Me

I toss him a bag of goblin ears.

"There should be about 34 goblin ears in there."-Me

Cain looks surprised but quickly composes himself.

"Well this was certainly unexpected. Give me your status plates. You guys are obviously strong enough to be in a higher rank."-Cain

He takes our status cards and goes behind a door that is behind the counter and comes back a few moments later.

"You guys are now D rank adventurers, congratulations. Here is 10 silver coins for your work."-Cain

"Do you know where I could sell the loot from the goblins?"-Me

"Oh sure, you can sell it all to me and I"ll give you a reasonable price for them."-Cain

I give him most of the loot and get 5 gold coins for them.

All in all I think that it was a pretty good day. Ran and I head back to the inn to eat a warm meal and rest.
