《Gods Game》Life's turmoils

So on a positive note, I haven't been gone a year as I have with several other things.
I apologize for the absence.
I've been experiencing a lot on my end of the world. Family drama, injuries, most of which I shall spare you the details of, but in short, life threw a bunch of crap at me and I had to clean it all up.
I wanted to post an update to let you know, Gods Game has not been canceled. I've got a bunch of notes and plans to keep working on it.
In fact, I've got everything I've written off Royal Road, and you might see some changes before the continuation.
I've got plans to participate in NaNoWriMo.
For those of you who don't know what that is, it's basically you write a complete novel during the month of November. I hope to work on a few stories, and Gods Game is one of them.
One of the things I am happy to report is I've finished a novel and I'm going to try to start getting it published! I hope to start my research for the route I hope to take after the first week of October.
Not sooner because my dad is visiting from Vermont for two weeks, and this is his final week with us. I don't want to spend my entire time researching and thinking about heavy things while he's here. While he would understand and likely encourage me, this last week is all about what he wants to do. Right now my husband is showing him the great works of Final Fantasy XV lol. He's rather enjoying it.
Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know, I'm here, I'm still writing, and Gods Game should see some changes, and continuation before the end of the year. I don't want to just write it and post it, I'm hoping to write it, and put it through a bunch of editing, and hopefully a beta reader or two.
I may put a notice on here asking for beta readers in the future. Maybe?
In the meantime, going to enjoy my dad's visit, rest my injuries, and get to writing. ^_^
Take care, everyone! Hope to see you guys soon!

Somebody Stop Her
In a world of villains and heroes, the Kilborne family moved to the small town of Saint Mary. Their new neighbors, living in the 1888 Saint Mary cathedral, turned out to be a family of supervillains. Martin Kilborne would find school perfectly mundane if it wasn't for Alexa Terranova who is: constantly bothering him with a pocket raygun, demanding he become her minion and threatening to blow up the principal's office in a series of unnecessarily complicated, wacky plots. The more Martin learns about Alexa, the more dangerous and insane his life becomes as he is dragged into terrible, misfortunate, no good adventures of doom. A wholesome, slice of life, superhero / supervillain sci-fi comedy, sprinkled with elements of horror.Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge - 55'555 words in 35 days!Dedicated to my daugher who has an unbendable stubborn spirit and my friends at the Silver Pen server who motivated me to write new things!

Waking Up
The story of Larin the Builder in the aftermath of Awakening This short story is the epilogue of Awakening, the first book of the Chronicles of Mother's Gate series. This epilogue is a great follow-up to the novel, a bonus story that adds extra layers between books without being necessary to the main storyline.Waking Up follows the story of Larin, who is alive but unconscious after her ordeal in the Nine Hells. She awakens in A'lara City a few days later and recuperates under the steadfast care of her repentant friend Jorn.As she reacclimates to her waking state, Larin struggles with her gruesome memories of the Hells and her decision to conceal them from Jorn. This story answers the question, Is Larin all right? with a resounding yes, and some storms on the horizon. It also raises the question, What happened to her down there? and includes an excerpt from the sister story Falling Down, about Larin's ordeal in the Nine Hells. Praise for Waking Up and Falling Down: Loved it. The difference between the two stories is great! The difference between Waking Up and Falling Down is astounding. So much light and love in the first story. You feel safe reading it. Healing. The second, so much darkness, pain and despair. The choice of vocabulary is awesome and makes an impact. And this set of short stories ties the two books together so well.-- Dana V. of Texas ★★★★★

Kalar's Continent
Magic is a fickle thing, hard to grasp and even harder to truly master. Mana flows through everything in the world, every rock, plant, and human. They all breath, grow and influence their surroundings in their own right.Join Teo, a bright young boy with a gift for Arcane Magic, through his journey to tackle the Elements, master his Craft and climb to the very peak of magic itself.Who will he meet, friends or foes? Trusted companions or bitter rivals? Will he be able to find his answer and get to the real meaning of magic, all while wrestling with the complex laws of nature and his own unripe emotions? There is only one way to find out.The story will start with a few chapters of introductions in volume 1 to establish the characteristics and the nature of the world the characters live in. After that, it will probably become a lot more fast-paced and incorporate real story progression. My goal is to fuse the common magic advancement system in a weak-to-strong fashion, together with elements of naturalism, magic combat action and little bits and pieces of science, wherever necessary, to form a bright and interesting story about a boy chasing his dreams about magic.
