Chapter 8: 1st Pet
When the window had shattered Kel immediately woke up and jumped out of his bed. Before the shattered window, there was a person standing wearing a fluttering robe.
After his eyes adjusted to the darkness he saw that it was a youth seemingly about 16 years that was wearing a dark blue robe.
He had short dark brown hair and deep green eyes giving of a domineering look. In contrast to the look of his eyes, he had a calm face and gave off an overall calm feeling.
But when Kel tried to scan him, he was astonished, that he wasn't able to see threw the youth at all.
You have to know that if the cultivator didn’t use some technique to hide it, one would normally be able to see the cultivation of a person even if it was a stage above you.
That indicated that the calm looking youth should be a nascentstage cultivator. In the whole city there were only 7 nascentstage cultivators that all represented a powerful force by themselves.
If he were to anger such a person, he would certainly die a miserable death.
He hurriedly bowed and respectfully said:
„How can I help your lordship? If I have done something to invoke your anger, this little one will do everything in order to compensate for it. “

The blue clad youth started laughing.
Kel immediately grew relaxed and smiled.
It seems that I have overreacted a bit. That's good, it's never wise to offend an expert.

Suddenly the youth stopped laughing and looked towards the girl in the cage that was just wiping away her tears.
Kel once again tensed up and his smile vanished from his face.
A threating voice came from the youth.
„So you are telling me, that this girl is from a tribe that likes humans and she protected humans and that you searched for her.
That resulted in the village of humans been killed by you and that girl being caught by you to be sold as a pet? “
„Y-yes? “
The youth breathed out.
„First of all, I like the idea of her as a pet. Do you happen to have a collar with some restrictive bindings? “
Surprised by the sudden change in the youths tone, Kel shortly paused and then took out a leather collar.

„I'm sorry, but I have only a normal one. “
The youth just waved his hand and the collar flew to him. He made a few strange symbols on it by using his finger and said.
„Ok, this should do it. “
Kel was astonished
He's not only a nascentstage expert but also an inscription expert?
Then the youth pointed at the cage the girl was in. The cage immediately cracked and disintegrated releasing the girl.
The youth threw the collar to the girl and told her to wear it.
She hesitated but then thought about the easiness with which the youth had destroyed cage and quietly wore it. Immediately she felt the restrictions on the collar.
„What’s your name? “
„Reis“
„My name is Zes. From now on you are my pet and have to follow my commands. “
The girl kept her head down and made a small nod.
After that Zes turned to Kel and his tone became threatening again.
