Chapter 38 Rumor

A few days later Pinia reached the great mountain range. From there on it was only about an hour of flight until Bluedragon city. Pinia stood in front of the giant mountain range that was said to be the biggest in this realm, admiring the greatness and the imposing aura it gave of. Since this was Pinia's first time outside the capital and the capital was laid in a flat area and there were no mountains in the surroundings so this was the first time she saw a mountain no need to speak about a mountain range.

After some time she managed to pull herself together and shot off into the direction of Bluedragon city. On the way she saw some small towns and villages laid inside of valleys or near to a bigger river. Everything seemed to be quite peaceful and there were no signs of a major event happening only a few kilometers ahead.

Soon she came near to the city. There was only a mountain between her and the city but here she started to feel something off. A presence more powerful than herself has seemed to seep through the mountain giving of a powerful and tyrannical vibe. Pinia slowed down her speed and restricted her own aura so that even if someone would search with his divine sense he would not be able to find her unless he was deity stage. Only after doing that she felt a bit more secure. She slowly passed the mountain and now had a free view on the city.

But what she saw was too much for her. As soon as she passed the mountain, the first thing that happened was that a huge pressure attacked her from all sides. Then she saw it. A blue dome and a dragon coiling on it. Both of them gave her a huge pressure and she could clearly feel that this dragon could more than just suppress her with some aura.

Pinia stood there unable to move for quite some time until she finally managed to get rid of the pressure. Awe and fear could be seen in her eyes. The dragon and the blue dome, they had to be a formation but this formation was even more powerful than the one protecting the royal palace! In fact, the two of them cannot even be compared to each other.

But for this formation to exist, there has to be someone that had set it up. And a formation of this grade had to be set up by someone on the pinnacle of formations. A grandmaster never seen before in this realm. Pinia clearly understood that she herself was not even able to scratch this formation and she assumed that even her master would have a hard time doing so. So this formation was able to fend off a deity stage expert, the formation expert that constructed it was able to hold his ground against deities!

Someone reaching such comprehension had to be roped in. If she could get this expert to join the royal family it would be a major factor in strengthening her kingdoms forces. Right now, the amount of deities her kingdom possessed was the least in all the kingdoms so a formation expert able to fight of deities was someone really important to them.

The problem was that she did not know if this expert would be willing to serve the royal family. He had reached high comprehension in a field only few were able to explore. Such people were seldom willing to serve others. Also there was a chance that he was an enemy. After all they had made themselves many enemies while taking control over the kingdom. So although it seemed to be peaceful in the kingdom there were many fractions and forces that wanted to get rid of their clan.

Pinia decided to gather some intelligence in the surrounding villages before heading straight into the city. She picked out a small town a few kilometers from Bluedragon city. Before she entered the town she first changed her expensive clothes into less expensive ones so that she would not stand out that much. Nevertheless after she entered the village, all the attention was gathered on her.

This was because of her beauty. Generally the further one would cultivate the better would one look. That is because the qi you gather is partly absorbed by your flesh and changes the genes. Because of this, most high-level cultivators were quite handsome men and women were all beautiful fairies. But if ones natural beauty was great, then the effects of the qi would also rise. Pinia had good genes since her father was already a deity and so her beauty was almost unmatched even without the bonus of cultivation. Coupled with her cultivation of the late immortal stage she could be called a peerless beauty. Naturally it would attract some attention if a stranger and at that a beautiful woman like this came into a small town in a backwater region.

So in fact it was normal for her to stand out even if she changed her clothes. Even though she stood out like this, she did not bother with it too much but rather went to a small shop at the main street of the town to get information from the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper was an elderly man with a smiling face. He gave of the vibe you would get when visiting a club for seniors that just wanted to enjoy the rest of their lives.

As Pinia entered the shop he immediately welcomed her friendly.

"How can I help this beautiful lady? You are new in the city right? There is no way I wouldn't know if a beautiful girl like you would live here."

"You are right elder. I'm from the capital making a trip to Bluedragon city. I wanted to ask where this formation over Bluedragon city is from. I've never heard about a formation like this being in Bluedragon city."

Pinia decided to not tell the truth as she could not tell if this elderly man was belonging to the mysterious person able to set up the formation. The lie wasn't that good but it was better than telling the truth. Pinia had to admit that she was really bad at making up lies.

But the elder did not seem to mind the obvious lie. A beauty like the lady before him would not come from a regular background and people with strength would always do things others should not know so the elder did not mind it at all.

"Ah, this formation was laid by the new city lord of Bluedragon city."

"A new city lord? Isn't the city lord Gay Bluedragon the patriarch of the Bluedragon clan?"

"He was the city lord but a few days ago a youth appeared. He was immediately made the city lord and as he was announced he made the formation. They say he made it out of pure qi! Well, I can only tell you what I heard. Only the ones living in Bluedragon city know what exactly happened. I have only seen from here how the dome and the dragon formed. The rest I have heard from people from the city."

"Do you know the name of the city lord?"

"Oh yes, he is called Zes Bloed. But I do not know where he is from. In fact no one except for the inhabitants of the city know more about him. And the strange thing is whenever you ask them about him they will always dodge the question. Quite mysterious, no?"

The elder laughed. But Pinia was already in deep thought. It seemed that this new city lord tried to hide himself from the rest of the world. Backwater areas like this one are known for slow to reach out and so it was unlikely that someone would find out about it, and the villagers would not bother with something like this so he did not have to do anything but keep then information inside the city.

It seemed that Pinia had no other way but entering the city. From what she saw till now this new city lord just wanted to be left alone but there were no signs of an enmity between their forces so it shouldn't be too much of a risk.

Nevertheless she quickly contacted her master through the talisman and narrated her the current situation. Then she once again headed towards Bluedragon city.

Inside Bluedragon city

A few days had passed since the time he was announced as the new city lord. Most of the new regulations and the changes had already been completed. People have been sent to different cities searching for surviving humans sold as slaves also the new regulations concerning the demon girls that would serve the humans were set up. At first there had been some resistance against it but it was quickly sold after the patriarchs gave their clansmen a scolding.

Other than this Zes spend most of his time in his mansion training together with Les, Reis and Zoe. Also Maaran started comprehending his own dao. While searching his dao and getting insights he was also absorbing qi just like Zes had done it when he was comprehending his own dao. Coupled with the monstrous density inside the city his cultivation had already reached the early gathererstage (for these that forgot mortal - bodystage - gathererstage -condensionstage - corestage - nascentstage - deity stage). But he was still trying to get a gist on the dao he wanted to comprehend. In fact the hardest thing on comprehending a creation stage dao was to find the dao itself. But even so, Maaran was confident to find it soon.

Zes’s days were spend with training, training, more training and nights of a bit of fun. More exactly the nights that were spend in Zes bedroom were already legendary in the whole city. This is because of the rumors the maids were spreading. Every night there were loud noises coming from the third floor of the mansion, also the maids talked about wet fluids on the floor every morning when the girls left the room. It was said that there was enough of it to cover the whole floor of the room.

Of course, the people only speak about it when there was no one of the concerned people around but other than that it was one of the most discussed themes in Bluedragon city.

Right now Zes was sitting in his room and practicing the moves of the Divine Body of Immortals. He was only a step away from reaching the first stage and achieving the first divine body. With every round he was repeating the technique, he felt his body becoming stronger and stronger. Suddenly something broke through inside of him. A strange energy formed inside of him. According to the Divine Body of Immortals this was the divine body energy he had to use in order to form the divine body.

Zes controlled the energy according to the way described in the technique and forced it outside of his body. Slowly the pure white energy condensed into something resembling a human. Right now it was still vague but the face slowly became clear. The divine body completely looked like Zes except for the fact that it was wearing a white robe instead of a blue one.

A smile appeared on Zes face as he felt the bound between him and the clone. Every memory was linked between the two of them so both of them knew the same things.

Just as he wanted to check out the clone’s physique, he suddenly felt a powerful aura passing through the formation. The smile on his face became only brighter.
