Chapter 64 Memories
"Sorry, I couldn't make it earlier. These damn geezers didn't want to let me go until I threatened to stop cultivating forever."
Maaran just came into the garden and immediately went to the pavilion. Out of all the people in this realm there was no one that could say of themselves that they knew more about Zes than Maaran. After all he had been with Zes for three years now and had witnessed all the ups and downs in this time. It could be said that Maaran was the person Zes was trusting the most and also Zes’s only real friend in the whole sect.
"Seems the elders are keeping you in check, hmm? But it's your own fault. You shouldn't mess with the girls so much and focus on cultivating."
Zes gave him a grin. Maaran just helplessly shrugged.
"Can't help it. Because of my dao I have much more desire than normal people and I have to regularly vent it somewhere.
By the way, how come that you can grin so naturally now?"
"Seems I'm only able to show evil or bad expressions. Look"
Zes started to make an expression eviler than the last making Maaran laugh.
"Hahaha, kind of ironic right? The playful idiot from before can only show his evil side now."
Zes raised a brow but in the end he also started laughing.
"Oh, just shut up, ok?"
"Ok, ok. But let's get serious. Why have you suddenly started to move? You said you did not want to cause any trouble in the sect and stay undercover. But now you suddenly start taking all the attention of that top brasses in the core sect. Any reason for this change?"

"Bored."
Maaran looked into Zes eyes and as he saw a bit of seriousness in them he just sighed.
"I knew that you wouldn't stay silent all the time. It's not really your style but I honestly thought you would have a bit more endurance than this. I'm kind of disappointed of you."
"Hey, look who is speaking. You have at least the girls to entertain you. But look at the poor me, I have to stay in this garden cultivating all the day. You know I love the scenery but for real, DO YOU KNOW HOW BORING THIS IS? Every day, morning, noon, evening the same bamboo, the same pond and the same lotuses. I'M STARTING TO GET DEPRESSION!"
"Ok, ok. I just wanted to mention it."
Maaran was kind of shocked about the outbreak. In the whole three years they had been in the sect, he had never seen Zes as chatty as he was right now. But his shocked expression soon became a smile again. It seemed that Zes was slowly returning to normal again. It wouldn't be like before but at least it was better than having to chat with a walking ice statue and always guess the others emotions.
"Haaaaa…."
Maaran sighed as he stood up.
"Let's have some fun in the inner sect area."
Zes just replied with the best playboy grin he could do and the two got out of the garden into the bustling streets of the inner sect.
They spent the whole day eating food in different taverns and looking for nice things to give to Maaran’s harem. In this time Zes also remembered about Reis, Les and Zoe. Until now he always suppressed every thought about them as he couldn't take the strain they put on his mind. Now that his condition grew better, he finally allowed himself to reminiscent about them and he became kind of melancholic.
The time he spent with the three girls was shorter than the time he spent in the sect but nevertheless to Zes it was an important time. It was the time that he first got back into any kind of society after having to hide for 10 years. And even though he never openly showed it all this time, he had been nervous being with people and always awkwardly tried to hide it in his endless chatter.

In this important time for Zes, the people that had actually helped Zes to find an actual standing in this world of cultivation were these three girls that proudly called themselves his pets. They were the ones that truly closely interacted with him and whom he really trusted at that time.
In this huge world dominated of demons they were the ones that helped him and whom he really loved.
Of course there were other figures that supported him such as Gay and Pinia that also helped him. Especially Pinia to whom he also had certain romantic feelings had also a special place in his hearth. But even so, the three girls had an importance to Zes that was even bigger than the one he placed on Maaran or Pinia.
To him, they were something similar to a family and he couldn't let anything happen to them.
Engrossed in his memories, Zes only realized that it was evening as he bumped into one of the countless lanterns that where illuminating the streets. In each of those lanterns were formations that would emit a bright light in the dark. Right now it was already pitch black night and all the lanterns in the streets burned. Despite it being night, the crowd on the street did not lessen but rather increased.
More and more people came to enjoy the night in different clubs and taverns. In some aspects, the inner sect was no different from a modern city. Dark night and sleep? No! Drinking and dancing!
The pure amount of activities in the inner sect was endless and every night more and more clubs and other shops opened. There were three theaters, hundreds of clubs and taverns. A whole district for prostitution and sex shows but also high class restaurants and casinos. And all of them were managed by sect disciples and elders. In fact, most of the big and famous casinos or clubs belonged to a big family. As for the smaller ones, they were mostly managed by some older disciples that had no chances of further achievements in cultivation. They often opened shops for themselves and earned their money with them.
Other than casinos, sex clubs, taverns or high class restaurants there was also a single auction house in the sect. It was managed by one of the most illustrious families in the sect, the Green Phoenix family. In fact the auction house was the only reason that the Green Phoenix family was considered as a major family. In this auction house, 90 percent of the cultivation recourses of the sect were traded and so naturally no one was willing to offend the Green Phoenix family and cut off their own supply of cultivation treasures.
Other than the auction house, the Green Phoenix family also possessed two casinos that were right next to the auction house and a few stores in different areas of the inner sect. This business was what made the Green Phoenix clan a major family because in regards of cultivation experts, in the whole Green Phoenix family there was only one elder with a cultivation above soul liquid. With this in regards of raw power their family was on the rock bottom of the major sects.
Nevertheless there was no family that was willing to offend them. This was because of their business that backed them with the resources to get the protection of other families.
Right now Zes and Maaran were entering one of the two casinos that made the foundation of the Green Phoenix family.

Exuperius [DISCONTINUED]
Terravest. The northernmost continent of the world known by many names of legend, but is most commonly reffered to as Athora, has, for eons, served as the land of exiles. Human criminals, dark elves, grayskinned orcs and dwarves that preffer mining with machinery over the traditional pickaxe alike, have come to call this half-frozen hellhole their home. It is a land of great strife, calamity and crisis, where one legendary tale ends only to begin the next, heroes fall down and villains find themselves thrown into lava. Around seventy years ago, a legendary figure appeared out of seemingly nowhere and conquered three human nations, forming a kingdom worthy enough of being called a small empire. However, at the eve of his heirs ascension, the legend breathed his last, leaving this same bloated, chaotic realm without the pillar that kept it together. Already, the carrion nobility, still spiteful for being denied their "rightful" place below the sun, rise up and gather at the court, each eager to consolidate their own power in these troubled times. Tempers flare, power is exercised without restraint and no one expects the hedonistic prince to succeed at keeping the realm together. Alas, as is often the case with such tales, not everything seems to be as it might at first appear and the vain lords of the realm may yet come to regret their carrion will. --- The Content Warnings are there for a good reason. ---

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel) V2.
Andrew William. A perfectly average boring name for a perfectly average and boring boy. He wasn't particularly smart nor gifted. Not in academics nor in sports. He wasn't even as good as the other losers and "nerds" in his school. He could not remember the expansive lore of Star Wars, he could not recite the dialogue of Startek nor pull off any cool one-liners and quotes, and he couldn't beat the final level in most games without resorting to cheating or mods. All he had was half-assed knowledge of pop culture and comics, but the one thing he was good at, his one and only pride and calling in life? Making Youtube videos. No, it wasn't sad! He was actually quite popular, honest! He made videos of adventure and nature, although it was mostly of the creepy variety. Abandoned hospitals, old mines, long tunnels, and undiscovered caverns. And as ironic as it was predictable, it would, of course, turn out to be the reason that he died. Well, at least he could take comfort in dying doing what he loved, not many people these days could say the same, you know? The concept comforted him at least, but it turns out death is not always as permanent as people liked to think, because Andrew somehow found himself in New York City of all places after falling to his certain death in the Devil's hole, Death Valley Nevada., only thing was it certainly wasn't the New York that he knew of. The Fantastic Four? Stark Industry? Captain America's biography? Oh boy, and did he mention he's no longer human? His Asian friends had introduced him to the wonders of Isekai novels and mangas, but isn't the order a little messed up? Where's his meeting with the sexy and nice Goddess? Where was his intro or tutorial?? Explanation plz I'm a noob at cross-dimensional travel! Help? Setting? Menu? Status? May I please get to pick my own cheat power? No? I'm stuck as a virus? Well, At least the Prototype Virus was pretty darn cool and OP. Just not as op as being able to casually break the sound barrier in my sneakers or bench pressing the earth, but I'll just have to make do. Please don't be some fucked up Marvel continuity where Nazis and Hydra won or some shit. Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore
