《The Foxy Dungeon》First Draft Ch. 1 Reckless first steps

I wake up in a room lit by green. Where am I? Looking around I notice that I'm alone in a sealed room. How did I get here and why can't I move? After some thought, I realize that it's because I'm a dungeon core! Why didn't I realize that sooner? Oh well, it's time to start working on creating a dungeon! In front of me a display appears.
Monster Types Goblins Orcs Slime Undead Beasts
Only five choices huh... Goblins don't feel like they would grow well, and Orcs would likely reach a stoping point as well. I don't know if slimes will be reliable for me either... Could I have an undead without killing something? All that leaves are beasts, but would that be... Wait I think I do know something I could do, lets go with beasts!
Beast Type selected. Integrating with dungeon.
Those words vanish shortly after the appeared. Now then it's time to summon my first beast! I'm really hoping this works! Gathering mana I focus on creating a fox. It starts as a small draw on my strength but as my idea starts taking form, my mana drains rather quickly, reaching the half way point before I know it! But that's also where it stoped as my creation is successful!
Unique race created! First of it's kind. Dungeon recieves rights to name the new race.
And just like that I've created what I wanted, and they're a new race as well! Well, they already had a name so lets just stick with it. They are kitsune!
With that settled, lets talk with my new kitsune! Um... what should I say... before I can come up with an answer the kitsune speaks to me, "Thank you for creating me master!" The kitsune said that sparkling eyes! Well she's still in fox form now, but still, I can tell that those eyes are sparkling! Wait... something seems to be missing. "Why do you only have a single tail?" I know that more tails often come with age, but I used mana to quicken the process. "Master, your power has allowed be to become a Magnificent kitsune immediatly, but even that would normally take 100 years. The magic to create a kitsune with more tails must be much more costly, I am sorry to disapoint you," the kitsune replies sadly. Noticing the mistake I've made I hastily responded with, "I'm not disapointed! I was just curious as this is my first time creating any creatures! That's why I didn't know!" Her eyes are sparkling again! That was a close one.

Settlement of Safehaven - A Hearthtree Series
"Welcome to the ECS Asgard, your ride through the stars to your new home-" Or so goes the sales spiel of this one of four and first-produced colonization ship, a spiel meant to placate the portions of humanity who would be selected for such a journey through the stars. It was meant to be a simple thing; people would sleep in hibernation or stasis, to experience their lives within the virtual reality world which kept their minds occupied. The virtual world was meant to simulate a fantasy world of Viking or Roman lore. But not all with this virtual world was fine; nor were the humans who were selected for its maiden and only voyage. One colonist lost everything dear to him, but through his pain and torment, he gained the attention of the colony ship's AI.
