《HERO CHRONICLES:》Chapter 15: [ Combat with the Goblins ]

It seems I still have a lot of composure.
While warding off the goblins spear with the sword in my right hand, the dagger in my left hand has already cut off one of its arms.
Hehe don’t you dare underestimate the great me… I can now fight you single-handedly you know!
With only one arm remaining, the first goblin who charged towards me was an easy prey for my sword.
One down six to go!
Seeing one of them die, the other five goblins stopped on their track and became enraged.
“Wretched Human!”
“GoRi no!”
The goblins started crying while kneeling in the ground.
Eh? Did I do something bad?
And who the hell is GoRi? Is it the goblin from before?
What the hell!?
Watching the goblins that were about to cry, I …..
“I don’t have a choice; he wanted to kill me so I….I’m really sorry!”
….felt bad for what I’ve done.
I’m really sorry GoRi, that is…. Um have a safe trip and have fun in the heaven or maybe hell!? Well whatever…
Raising my face, I clapped my hands in prayer and offered a prayer “Namu Amida Butsu!”
GoRi I hope you will become a true Gorilla in your next life!
“Kruuuu can’t see … GoRi dance anymore”
Eh? What the hell!?
That’s what you’re sad about!?
“me dance!”
“uugh GoKu …”
Wha--!?
“GOKU IS A FREAKING MONKEY NOT A GOBLINNN!”
I reflexively screamed out loud.
Who the hell gave these goblins their names!? Why the hell are they all monkeys?
Well, Goku is not really a monkey but a saiyan that can transform into a monkey.
Haaa~ now I don’t feel like fighting at all!
“Well, I guess I’m sorry….then bye!”
As I turned around and tried to leave, the goblins immediately attack me with killing intent.
Although I wasn’t prepared, however, I felt nothing like the pressure I felt when I fought with the because I was now stronger than that time.
With my unique skill that increased my battle instinct as well
as perception, I felt that defending against the low-level goblin’s attack was a simple matter.
On top of that they were only six and slower than me, but if there were a bit more goblins I don’t think I can still say I can win though. Sometimes quantity beats quality you know.

The goblin’s attack was totally clumsy. Their aim is also relatively dull, not only were they unable to handle their weapons efficiently, they were also hardly any unpredictable and complex feints or movements to mislead me or can surprise me into their attack.
The impression I had of their attack was that it was crude and predictable.
As expected of a low-intelligent and dumb goblins.
In short they were just attacking me recklessly.
I guess their slashing attacks were quite quick but unfortunately for me they were still slow. They were not real opponents for me.
Uuuuoooooh! Aren’t I so confident right now! Hahaha
Their attacks were easily defended against by my parrying. Compared to my speed and excellent footwork they are nothing worth fearing for.
While I was intercepting and defending their attacks against me, I was also attacking them at the same time.
I swung the short sword towards them and then followed by the dagger in my left hand.
As if dancing, I carefully avoided their attacks by hair breadth while also attacking at the same time. This is also training for me, and a little bit carelessness can cause my life.
Keeping this momentum one by one, the goblins fell in my sword. Only one of the attacking goblins was left.
I swung my short sword to the goblin and moved down to its neck region.
His head flew, maybe charmed by the gravity it fell to the ground and begun to tumble as its blood was splattered in the ground. Its severed head can really make one vomit from disgust. 'Well, If I've been shaken with just this then I would become an embarrassment as a warrior wannabe.'
Really, the realism of this game is top-notch!
Level Up: Sword Mastery [2]
Increases Attack Power with a sword (+20% ATK)
Increases Attack Speed with a sword (+6% ATK SPD)
You have Leveled up!
Yes! I’ve finally leveled up!
But this game….the more you level up the harder and longer it takes!
Clang!
I hastily turned around to look where the sound is coming from and saw the last goblin, but this goblin was somehow different from the previous ones.
It’s not bald because it has black hair on its head. It was wearing a tattered rag from its chest down to its knees.
Therefore I conclude that the conclusion has been concluded ... = =

--- this goblin is no doubt a girl!
Well, it’s a pity that she wasn’t that beautiful. I guess all the goblins had the same ugly face with their green skin and pointed ears.
However, this girl goblin has blackish-green skin unlike the others~
Weird ... = =
By the way, to what degree is a goblin even considered beautiful anyway?
I stared at her for a moment.
I noticed that this goblin girl was trembling and it seems there are tears forming in its big, slit eyes.
It was trying to lift the spear dropped by the other goblin when it disappears.
Although the spear’s body was made from wood, it has golden ornaments on it that made it looks like a majestic spear. It was obviously longer than the goblin girl’s body so naturally it was far heavier than her.
She tried to lift it but as expected she can’t even budge it.
Watching the desperate and pitiful actions of the goblin girl…….. Naturally my heart
was moved.
I really want to cry now! T-T
Feeling the guilt coursing through my body I slowly walked towards the girl.
“Hiiiii!!!”
Noticing me walking towards her, the goblin girl let out a shriek.
The girl started crying while trembling from fear.
“Well…”
The goblin girl shivered from my gaze, as if wanting to hide herself. She was constantly trembling thinking that I will also kill her.
Am I really scary?
Aren’t I considered handsome? Or maybe that’s just my own perception!
Huhu now I really want to cry! T-T
I reached out my hand towards her head, but it seems the goblin girl misunderstood my intension.
The goblin girl couldn’t control her trembling body and wet herself.
A strange smell began to spread all around making me frown.
What should I do?
“……Don’t worry I won’t hurt you. I apologize for what I did but I must kill them for they bore evil intent towards me. I hope you understand that I must also protect myself from harm”
I said while petting her head.
As a member of society as well as my past experiences being a delinquent, I was already used to a certain amount of distrust.
I pretended to see nothing and took the ornamented spear as well as the other items dropped by the goblins and put them in my inventory.
Leaving the goblin girl behind, I started surveying the area.
This place is like the room I stayed a while ago. Like before this room has nothing at all, although except for the chest in the corner of the room.
A treasure chest!?
Feeling excited, I immediately dashed towards it.
But….
No matter what I do it won’t open!
In short it’s locked!
Are you kidding me!? Do I really need a key to open this!?
Well, if only I have skills from the class, then maybe I can do something about it but I don’t have something like that! Hell, I still don’t even have a class yet!
In normal MMORPG, after killing the monsters inside a dungeon room, the treasure chest will automatically open by itself.
Then why won’t it open!?
Then something came to me…..
I turned my head and look at the goblin girl who was still sitting in the floor and
looking at me intently.
Noticing my gaze, the goblin girl once again trembled.
Don’t tell me a key will dropped if I kill that goblin girl?
Haa~~ nevermind then…. I guess I’ll give up with the treasure chest.
Killing such innocent and pitiful monster? Ha! Forget it… if some bastard with little conscience can do it then let them do it!
Being done, I turned my body around to leave while thinking about the things I need to do. But after walking a few steps I suddenly remembered something.
Opening my inventory I found what I’m looking for.
I turned around again and walked towards the goblin girl who was just sitting in the floor while watching me.
Looking at me walking towards her, I noticed that the goblin girl was shivering uncontrollably with vacant eyes.
Oh please, what are you a cat!?
In order to snap her back to her senses, I gently held out the I took from my inventory.
“I’m really sorry that I killed your um brothers?...Brethren or well, whatever… here it may not be a good compensation but I want you to have this….I’m sorry this is all I have”
Why?
Well, although I won’t considered myself a good guy but even so leaving a little girl like this: although she’s a monster, especially a goblin. I just can’t help myself but feel guilt.
You might say they are not real, they are just programs made like that but still it is very difficult to view it as such.
After saying so, I immediately left.
