《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 22. Capital.

We reached the enemy capital in just two days due to the enchantment magic.
We stopped in a forest near the capital so I could prepeare the siege army while scouting the capital.
I walk out of the forest to go and scout how much damage the capital has from my iron spear and if they got my message until James stops me.
"Are you sure you should do this...? Besieging a capital of an entire country just for one woman? Isn't it... Too much?" (James)
I turn around and grab him by the neck and hold him in the air,
"If this one woman wouldn't have accepted me into her mansion, I would be dead. I wouldn't be standing here. I owe my life to her basically. So... This will never be too much." (Colin)
I put him down after noticing that I am cutting off his air supply and the other guild members stare at me with a little fear.
"Sorry, but I truly do owe my life to her. You all just stay here and enjoy the show." (Colin)
The fact that I owe my left to her still stands true. If she had just decided not to keep me around for friendship I would've been executed on the spot.
It's time to repay the debt a little.
I float in the air a little bit away from the capital and see that guards are on the streets and people are being sent somewhere inside the massive castle.
Just bombarding the massive castle is and forever will be off-limits until I know Vivian's location...
I look at the walls and notice that the outer wall is broken in the place I threw the spear.
"Seems everything is going according to the plan... Now... How many troops do you have here?" (Colin)
I fly even more up and take a look at the entire city.
The walls are completely filled with guards...
"About... A million? Well this is a big city..." (Colin)
The city is really large indeed, It is exactly like those fantasy empire capitals from manga and such.
"This should be fun. I'll attack at night, the citizens should be sheltered by then..." (Colin)

I fly back to the forest and the guild members have set up a camp.
Tiron walks towards me when he notices me.
"Sir Colin... Are you entirely sure about this? Just by attacking the capital all the other kingdoms would notice that they are weak and some major changes would go in the politics of the world. Are you sure you wish to upset the balance?" (Tiron)
"What balance?" (Colin)
It seems he wanted to say something in response but couldn't find that something.
He calmly went back and notified the others of something.
Soon Vivian and Lily came while I was thinking of how to strike fear into their entire soul.
"Colin, we are your slaves and have to accept your decisions... But if you die like our previous guild master... What would happen of us?" (Lily)
"You are the one keeping us alive... Our last hope..." (Vivian)
"Me? Die? Maybe to somebody my level who has some kind of cheat power from god specifically meant to kill me. Until I meet such a person I won't die." (Colin)
"Just... Don't die please." (Lily)
"Please... We need you." (Vivian)
They leave aswell and nobody comes to talk with me.
It seems they don't want to lose their guild master who is basically keeping them alive.
I can understand if their last lifeline is being kind of suicidal.
But this isn't kind of suicidal since I know how they placed their troops...
They put all their archers on the walls with flaming arrows prepearing for siege towers and such.
Too bad for them I won't use those...
I walk into the open plains near the Capital.
"Dragon Summon: [Hydra]" (Colin)
"Dual-Hero Summon, Estonian Mythology: [Toell the Great] [Kalevide]" (Colin)
Due to summoning two heroes and a massive Hydra my mana is basically only 3% of the original... Regaining all my mana is going to be annoying since the less you have, the less you regain.
I go infront of the two massive heroes and the Hydra just to see a messenger on a horse coming towards me shouting something.
The messenger... Elven male?
"Stop! Stop stop stop!!!" (Elf)
The elf screams stop to me when he gets close enough and stops infront of me.

"Please, don't attack the capital!" (Elf)
"Give me one very good reason to not attack." (Colin)
"All of our wives and children are in keep! They are prisoners to the king! We cannot disobey him b ecause he can kill them all!" (Elf)
"So? I only came here for one woman... Guess I can kill the king in the spare time." (Colin)
"You don't understand! He'll kill everybody! Including us! He has the power to do so!" (Elf)
"And I'm telling you elf... If he does it he dies. Now. Step out of the way. I have a debt to repay!" (Colin)
The elf desperatly tries to convince me but I can tell that this is all actually a lie.
He has a slave mark on his hand that is faintly glowing red every time he is speaking.
That means his owner is constantly giving him new orders and he is fulfilling them.
I know since I learnt this while training, a proper warrior needs to know when a slave is actually in need of help or just being commanded to do it.
It'd be bad if you fall for a trap and couldn't escape because you are sealed or something like that.
"Toell. Can you?" (Colin)
Toell the Great picks up the little elf, looks at him and puts him on the wall of the capital.
Now...
"Waaaait!" (Unknown)
"What now!?" (Colin)
A noble looking person walks out of the capital gate towards me.
He is doing it very very slowly... Like stalling for time...
Wait a moment...
"Toell, grab him and bring him to me quick." (Colin)
Toell brings the man to me.
"Speak, quick." (Colin)
The noble doesn't speak at all and is quiet.
"Speak or I destroy the city." (Colin)
Still quiet. A minute passes quiet.
This was a damn stalling tactic...
"Toell, Kalevide, Hydra. Destroy everything dangerous except the castle in the middle." (Colin)
Toell and Kalevide smash the city walls with their bare hands and the Hydra screams and starts spewing fire everywhere.
Kalevide starts throwing the bits of walls at the enemies.
"I hate stalling tactics... I really really hate stalling tactics." (Colin)
I jump up and fly quickly towards the massive castle anticipating the worst.
I look behind me real quick and see the archers trying to kill the summons by burning them alive with fire arrows.
That really won't work...
To kill a hero, you need a demon.
I land infront of the castle gates as they are the only entrance in and the top is sealed off with stone aswell.
"Please don't be dead, please don't be dead..." (Colin)
I smash in the gates only to be dissapointed.
This was just the courtyard!
I was hoping this was the damn throne room or something!
Oh well...
I go to the set of massive doors and kick them in.
"Now this... Is the throne room." (Colin)
I walk in and torches are lit the moment I enter.
I see slaves attached to every pillar in the room and there are about thirty pillars here.
This guy seriously has too many slaves...
I look at the throne to see a man with a crown sitting there with somebody chained to the throne...
I try to take a closer look but there is a cloth covering their face and the crowned man grins and removes the cover.
"Vivian!" (Colin)
Vivian looks at me with almost dead eyes as she smiles.
"Colin...." (Vivian)
She collapses right infront of me.
"Oh don't worry... She isn't dead. I just had a little too much fun with her." (King)
The king gets up.
"Mind recalling your three pets out there? They really are doing a number on my city... And here I was hoping to keep you stalled long enough to prepeare my mages for some attacks..." (King)
He walks towards me like he doesn't care.
"Also... Mind having a duel with me? It's faster than destroying entire cities in our all-out war." (King)
"I accept, It will be faster and more enjoyable to kill you. With my bare hands." (Colin)
He grins like he just trapped me...
I don't like this but I have no other choice.

Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

Forgive me, I didn't mean to take that!
Murong Yingyue is the heiress to a famous cultivator clan. Except that’s she’s really not, and just a stand-in for the real heiress, who had been sickly since she was born. And she’s not really even herself. A transmigrator from Earth had transmigrated into the body of a female demoness, inheriting her memories. The transmigrator had then later died, transmigrating into her infant body! Ah, Why is it so convoluted? She grew up with those memories, and when she was finally sufficiently strong enough to travel the world safely, she eagerly embraced a leisurely life. When I was a demoness, I didn't know how to live without constantly being on guard and having to calculate every move I make. When I was on Earth, I didn't know a life without romantic drama and jealous women! I'll enjoy these two things you have missed, then! I'll do whatever I want and avoid troublesome people. So... How the f*ck did I get into this stupid cliche storyline? And as the main character, too? I don't want to be the main character! They attract so many senseless cannon fodders and powerful enemies, and furthermore, don't they attract romantic interests like it's no one's business? Someone help me! This will read better if you are familiar with wuxia novels. Discontinued. Apologies to all who liked the story. I feel that my writing style has changed since I last wrote for this story, so I tried to get myself to rewrite the story but I couldn't find any motivation to do so. I also lost the outline I had for this story and don't really remember what direction it was going in, so I want to leave the story as is. Thank you to the people who read and favorited this.
