《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 52. The Push.

--- Two weeks after the Wave ---
"My Lord! Another enemy army, it's quite big this time! And it's right on the hill between us and that city!" A scout reports as we march forward through the flat plains.
(Seven minor armies to stop in our tracks so this big one can deploy and get ready. Clever but predictable.)
"Are they ready?" I ask one of the lords behind me.
"Yes. They just need your order." The lord responds and has a smile on his face.
"Tell them to start once we see the enemy. Otherwise their cavalry might try to find them and kill them before we get there." I say in a calm tone and the scout re-joins our force.
We keep marching for about half an hour and we see the enemy force.
(They have fortified their position heavily and trying to take that hill, even with our army, would be dangerous. Well, if I go alone that's a different story. I breached the level 275's recently after all... But I must get my army used to fighting these enemies. If I can't defeat the Ritual and die, this world would then lose hope since they can't hold back these enemies.)
"Sir, I dispatched the messengers. They should arrive shortly and our little surprise should spring on the enemy." A regular cavalryman says and I smile.
I look behind at my line of soldiers and only see Infantry, Cavalry and regular Archers.
--- Two minutes later ---
A distinct sound of something being flung is heard and I see blasts of magic and rocks go towards the enemy fortification from all around.
"Everyone! To your positions!" I shout out and the army splits into five.
All of the seperate pieces go to one of the five locations from where my little surprise is.

(It seems the enemy didn't bother to check why all my mages and siege weapons just vanished. Though I think the elites commanding them just didn't bother about with scouting, thinking they are going to be stronger than us.)
The screams and shouts of the enemy army is heard kilometers away.
I send out a light spell up into the air and that is the signal for the archers to get into firing range.
The long-range attacks from the mages, all sorts of siege weapons and archers dies out around half an hour later.
(That half an hour of endless bombardment really did a number on them... Well, there's only two of them left and those are probably the elites who couldn't move due to the bombardment.)
I immediatly run and jump into the fortification and look at the two elites.
They are in a pitiful state after my army's attack.
"I'll give you a merciful death. Maybe you'll finally be free then. Earth Magic: [Spike]" I say as I smile while using the spell to pierce both their heart and brain.
I give the order for my troops to pack up and march into the city, which has no walls for some reason, and then set up a base of operations in the most defensible location.
--- A day later ---
"Our troops are ready for the last march, my lord. We've also received support from the nations who have heard of our push. Currently, they have sent us an reinforcements numbering the same as our army at the beginning and supplies to feed all of us for a year. Also our own supplies have arrived and I took the initiave and re-supplied all our troops with new weapons." One of my logistics officers quickly gives me a report and then leaves.

(Good. I managed to get us across half a continent in only merely two weeks... But now comes the hard part... I don't know how high leveled the troops in the Ritual's capital might be. I don't even know how powerful the materialized Ritual is at the moment either... This is a really big gamble. Is the average level of my army good enough to even give me a chance to, without using any of my power, get into the main part of the enemy?)
While I mumble to myself, I remember my companions and their levels.
(This is a really bad thought but... This might work... I'll ensure they live though, I can't have them dying if even I might die. There'd be no morale support for the army then.)
