‘What am I going to do?’ The king asked himself.
There was a problem with the current state of affairs. Larmen and his party never killed the Demon Lord. The other hero, Jerry did. Problem is, the population beleives that Larmen did and Jerry could expose this lie, putting the Empire in a pinch.
‘What if I bribed him?’ The king thought.
But, the king realized that he didn’t have any means of contacting Jerry since he left. He also remembered that Jerry was last seen leaving the reward ceremony in the Empire furiously.
‘Shit shit shit, what do I do?’
The king sat in thought over his throne with a wrinkled brow.
“Is there something wrong, Your Majesty?” A sly voice asked.
“Ah, Spymaster, you startled me” The King responded.
“I am always here. Now, what is on your mind, Your Majesty?”
“The other hero, Jerry. He is a nuisance and could ruin our facade at anytime!”
“Maybe I could make him… Disappear” The Spymaster said with a grin.
‘Disappear… Disappear! Dead men can’t speak, I just need to assassinate Jerry!’
“Spymaster” The King said.
“Yes, Your Majesty?” The Spymaster responded
“Assassinate Jerry, the cowardly hero”
“Your wish, is my command” The Spymaster said, as he slipped into the shadows.
‘All my problems are gone, and Jerry’s name will be erased, gone, disappeared like a ghost’
The King then smiled.
“Swept under the rug” The King said.
