The house of Villion. For years this clan has lead a life under the blessing of the life gods. The life gods where in fact one of the many gods that ruled under the elements. With every living being able to produce magic, each living mortal had a magic aptitude. It could be said that magic was blessed by those gods. Of course magic aptitude can also be given by other gods. But no matter how many times a god of another jurisdiction tries to give a magical aptitude to another mortal it will never proceed a magical aptitude that is given by a god that rules an element. Once a god that rules an element gives a magical aptitude to a mortal, that mortal can not have any other magical aptitude. But there are some cases when the grade of a mortals soul will outstrip those bounds. But that's for another chapter.
For this world, the gods treated it as a play toy. Mortals where just means of losing boredom for all the gods. May they be high ranking gods to the lesser gods, mortals where a source for entertainment. So the gods claim mortal souls. In the world of the gods, a mortal soul was considered property. Any god can claim a mortals soul but claiming a soul that's already marked by another god is considered taboo. Of course there are certain cases where this happened, it was rarely done. Mortals refer this mark/claim to blessings.
The house of Villion is a well known clan which is said to be the strongest light magic clan in the kingdom of Ferald. It was well known to many in the kingdom that no other clan is stronger then Villion clan. With so much power in the light magic, members of the Villion clan work as priest and in well known academies. Most of the members are on the front lines with the army. Villion clan's healing and blessing power where top class. Why where they so strong? Though there are many clans in the kingdom that can do what the Villion clan can do, there was thing that made them different from the others. The blessings of the light gods. Most clans would have blessing from certain gods but not many clans are blessed with the blessing of elemental gods. Most clans where blessed by third ranked gods. The elemental gods where a first ranked gods so their power outstrip the other gods.

To attain this power from the light gods, the Villion clan had to do a certain ritual for each member of the family. From the day they are born, the clan will set up a magical formation and place the infant on top. Taking the mana crystals filled with light magic, the head of the family will take a talisman and place it on the forehead of the infant. Chanting the words of pray to the gods above, the angels will be summoned down to the mortal world where they inspect the soul of the infant. If they claim the soul of the infant then the child was blessed by the light gods. Of course any member of the family can do this ritual if they are blessed by the light gods. The head of the family does it for all of the newborns to keep track of each family member. Although the family was famous, there was still a lack of members.
Though the head of the family was supposed to do the ritual, Lucca's mother didn't take that chance. She hid the fact that she gave birth to her child. By spending a whole year avoiding the family, she never told a soul that she was pregnant. Only her head maid and staff knew. Though she was a proud member of the family, she was afraid that her son wouldn't be accepted by the light gods. Was she paranoid? Maybe. Was she afraid of something? That answer would be yes but that's for another chapter. Taking her son to the field that was a couple yards from the Villion manor in the middle of the night. She set up the ritual and softly placed her child on the formation. Chanting the exact prayer that the head of the family spurs, the magical formation glowed white till it finally flashed in a bright light. There glowing a few feet from the child was three armor clad angels. The mother offered her child's soul to the angels but the angels stood still. They didn't claim the child because the child in their eyes was a low grade soul. The gods of light don't accept souls that are ranked Lowclass. The mother cried and shouted at the angels for answers but the angels disappeared leaving the mother to cry. But the mother didn't feel the presence of another god in the area. Looming over the child, the goddess of death Ulkina stared at the child's soul.

"What fools those old light gods are."-Ulkina
Ulkina placed her hand on the child's head and a black light flashed from her palm.
"For them not to see that this mortals soul is be masked as lowgrade. That's why you don't send third rate immortal servants to do your job."-Ulkina
Ulkina laughed as she stared at the child's face.
"Ahhh.. Your soul is so beautiful. It's pure and full of life. But there is also hints of destruction and other things in it. Your soul is rare."-Ulkina
Leaving her mark on the child's soul, she lifted her hand and smiled.
"Soon... You will be mine to claim. The one I shall claim as my husband."-Ulkina
With that Ulkina disappeared from the child and enter the realm of the death gods. The child's mother after mourning walked slowly to the child.
"This... Child. If his father knew then we both will be kicked out of the family..."
The mother stared at the child with downcast eyes. She took the baby and carried it back to the house. She fetched a small woven basket from the storage room and placed the baby in side. She then took the basket and ran to the forest of Deruma.
"If anyone knew this child was alive... Then it's the end of both of us..."
She ran and ran till she ended up in front of a gigantic mana tree. Huffing and puffing, she slowly placed the basket under the roots of the tree.
"Sorry my child... But please...Mother can't live with you."
The mother smiled at the infant but it was not a smile full of motherly love. It was the smile of a killer who knew they have done the deed. This child will die and they will never know. If she went back to the house like nothing happened then everything will be fine. That is what the mother thought. She grinned and ran away with tears falling from her eyes. Rained poured down in the forest that day. The wails of an infant could be heard only a few yards from the tree but the rain softened the sound.
"Oh what is this? A human child all the way out here?"
"Hey Mother B! Maybe it's tasty!"
"Don't be silly child. This human child must have been left behind by it's parents."-Mother B
Mother B was making her usual rounds around the forest with the young animals on her back. She was the caretaker of these young animals. Mother B noticed a small sound and followed it all the way to a small infant human baby.
"It must be cold."
Taking the basket with her mouth, Mother B walked back to her den. Inside she placed the basket in front of the entrance. She moved aside a couple books from the floor and pulled on the cloth that covered the infant. She made sure the infant landed safely on the ground and proceed to lick it clean.
"Weird it doesn't have fur!"
"It's ugly!"
"Are you sure we can't eat it!"
The young animals bounced back and forth around Mother B as she cleaned the infant.
"No. You may not eat this child. He is going to grow with you."
"Grow?"
"Yes he will be your brother. And I shall raise him."
"Whats his name Mother B?"
"His name... Let's see. This child shall be called Lucca."
Nuzzling the infant, Lucca was adopted into a Magical Beast family.

Almost a Good Person
A memory, a memory of a boy who wanted more than pain, of a girl who wanted more than death, and an Isle that should not exist. The Isle of Red is a small, unassuming, quiet place. It is just large enough for a college, a small town, and maybe even a few more unusual sorts of places. Of course, the townsfolk practically know each other as family. Flush-faced regulars can be found toasting just about anything in the Briar's Brew, then, a few streets away, the same haggle of older women stationed themselves on their perch as they did every day from one of the few balconies in Central Square. They fuss away now, spouting the usual gossip as they watch us all from on high. Then there is the College here on the Isle of Red. My college. It has been often described as an unusual place by a good deal of people on the mainland. If they only would visit -why I am sure they'll soon have a change of heart, they may even come to find it a quaint sort of place, odd but in the same way a tattered old quilt can be both odd looking and warm, and especially soft. We teach mostly the same sort of disciplines here, with fantastic and absolutely normal professors.I must conclude that I am quite smitten with myself. The stage is set with a level of perfection that would have astonished me in my youth. They are coming. Derek will follow her. He knows the weight of reality too intimately, but she will be his true north if only for a short time. A beacon in the storm to show him the stunning pastels and brightness the sun may yet refract through his thinner, sharper pieces. Theoline will lead as she always has- well not always, not yet. She holds onto questions feverishly tight, that one. Lights them up inside like a new type of fuel without the slightest worry of being burned. She knows... There is but a certain few who can look at a map and find nothing where I stand but the Atlantic Ocean. And still, there is earth beneath me, a noisy pub down the road from me, and several people clucking conspiratorially on a balcony above me. She knows... that the Isle of Red doesn't belong here. Neither, technically, do I. (Hello!
