《The Inventor of Magic》14: Finishing the Chat

Sorry, another shortish chapter. After writing half of this chapter I ended up accidentally deleting all of my other ones. So no promises on a chapter tomorrow, but I'll try to find some time for one anyway.
For now, Enjoy! ^O^
p.s. Which lesson would be most interesting to read about?
>>>Richard POV
Finally after a stressful day at work I have some time to my self. Those idiots wanted to start their own buissness off of Improm's designs! How dare they! They work for me for three years and this is how they repay me- although I suppose this would have happened sooner or later anyway.
Magic is too big a buissness for one company, *Sigh*.
Oh yeah I have to to call Zach back, he seemed kinda angry before. Thinking of this I took out my holo-phone before calling Zach's number.
I lean back in my leather chair and wait for it to go through.
"*Bzzzzzt* Ouch! Damn that hurt!", Zach's voice came through the speakers, "What now Richard? Can't you hear I'm busy trying to make this bloody mana-Armour for you.".
"Sorry, sorry. What did you call about earlier, I was having a conversation with my daughter whilst flying so you'll have to excuse me when I didn't quite hear your shouting.",
"Okay then, first of all why the hell is David the headmaster?!",
"Oh come on, me and David are old school friends. He is quite knowledgeable when it comes to Magic and as for teaching when he went to university and did a teaching course. So I thought that he'd be just dandy in Silyan.",
"Right?... What about the proficiency test? Why didn't you tell me what normal students get?!",
"What was your score Zach?",
"5 minutes. Apparently that was too much?",

"*Pfffft.*, Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, I can't believe you sometimes you know! Of course 5 minutes would be too much! Ha ha ha ha!", Oh god, this is the most I've laughed in weeks!
"What about Physical Enhancement then!",
"What about it?",
"Apparently I'm not allowed to use it in a duel?!",
"*chuckles* Pfffft, *chuckles*",
"Hello, Richard? Are you there?",
"*Chuckles* Yeah, yeah. Sorry about that. You're not allowed to use anything equal to or above military grade in school.",
"Oh, okay... One last thing, why is that other holo-phone Lucy's... You said it was for you!",
"Me? A pink phone, of course not. That was an elementary trick my dear Watson.",
"Don't call me that.",
"No. Are you done questioning me now?",
"For now, but I will still beat you up at some point- *beeep* *beeep*.",
He hung up... Ugh I really don't want to get beaten up. I put my holo-phone away and prop my feet up for a well earned rest.
I close my eyes and try to get a nap...
*Ding* *Dong*
Ugh...
---
>>>Zach POV
Smiling I go back to my workshop. "Now, that that's done, back to this Mana-Armour.",
---
15 minutes later
---
I just don't understand it! The mana drawing idea worked for the Magic Devices so why won't it work on a larger scale! I don't want to divert the supply of a Magic Device into the Armour as in the
long run that would require another core which would be a weakness in the Armour. It needs it's own individual core but on a larger scale.
Ugh I don't know, it's two in the morning as it is and apparently school is five days of the week so I'll have to wake up early.

Steadily, I stand up from my armchair and put my tools on the desk in front of me.
I'll just do the rest tomorrow. Like a zombie I shuffle over to my bedroom and without even taking off my shoes, I go to bed.
---
The next day.
---
*Yawn*
The light streamed through the curtain less window to my side which quickly did the job of waking me up.
What time is it?
Blearily I look over to my alarm clock- oh crap, I'm over 10 minutes late! As soon as I jumped out of bed and I had grabbed a spare external Magic Device I had lying around, I thought of the corridor leading up to the Class A classroom and in that moment my Magic Device intercepted my thoughts and the [Teleport] array was activated.
In that moment I had disappeared from my bedroom and appeared outside the door of Class A.
Quickly I walk inside.
"In Silyan there are vario- hello Zach. Why are you late?", Miss Crow said kindly with a smile on her face and that was the problem, she said it too quietly.
"Er- the bus got stuck?", I replied in my most innocent voice.
"Sit down, we will talk about this later!",
"Yes Miss Crow.", I quickly found my seat after that.
Miss Crow quickly got back to her lecture. "So as I was saying, In Silyan there are various other lessons that are possible to learn that aren't on your timetable, you'll each need to select a minimum of one extra lesson to take this year on top of your other studies.
I will give each of you a slip of paper with the list of extra classes and I expect all of you to have chosen your class by tomorrow...",
Miss Crow quickly went round and gave each student a slip of paper, including throwing a few that she had folded into paper airplanes.
"Right, now a lecture on mana particles.",
"Ugh...", the whole class groaned in response.
Whilst that was happening I looked down at the list.
-Military tactics
-Team tactics
-Advanced Magical Theory
-Magic in medicine
-Engineering
-Array programming
-Secondary Classes (repeat of an existing class)
-Individual Research
Well this is going to take some time.
