Marin PoV

We received our birds on one of the last stops in the demon realm. They call it their realm because they have an very big area with lots of kingdoms, cities and some different countries.

We traveled around that place for nearly 8 months and we got to see almost everything. And now we are traveling south-west to see a new place.

Everyday we walked we would run into some human soldiers… They were so annoying as they would always wants to engage in combat with us! Once I got so annoyed that I blew them away with the word “GO AWAY”. Well… it was a beautiful scene, hundreds of human soldiers shining through the air.

Once I asked Gonya to catch one of the soldiers and ask them why they were attacking us. His answer made me pretty angry and so I stomped on his D. I shall say that I’m not guilty and I felt refreshed after doing that. Don’t ask me why, I don’t know why I did that.

What he said was something about demon slaves were rare because they could use the heretical and evil power of magic. But they had discovered a stone that sealed their power once it came in contact with their body, and after that they just needed to stay within 1000 meters of any type of this stone.

He said he didn’t know what kind of stone it was, but it was created by an alchemist. It was then that I stomped on his D. They wanted my “slaves” and ‘stone’... I don’t know what stone they are talking about… ‘Probably my name? No it can’t be! It’s a normal name!’

After that we sent Gonya to find and tell us where the humans were. It was annoying until we get to the first city… That was when hell started to break loose. Some disgusting nobles would try to grab any of my friends as his slaves… ‘Why are all of them like pigs? This realm is rotten!’ Such thoughts would always form when the nobles appeared before me trying to buy my “slaves”. I had asked them to not use magic so that they would not be found out. But I never explained that they couldn’t use their abilities.

All of them have a unique ability. That’s why they are called Demon Generals. The twins have magic eyes that could charm any creature they wanted. Freyki… I’m almost ashamed to say this but he can generate an electric current to recharge our cell phones, yeah we used him like that anyway. Gonya had a really good sense of hearing and could make her words travel for long distances. Havok could be used to warm places or to put things ablaze as he could generate heat. Reter generates cold air and can even freeze things. Lakuen would just be immobile, she would fix her feet on the ground and wouldn’t budge, the teachers wouldn’t allow her to play tug of war… Jink could sense spots where water was abundant, so she would always know where to find rivers or lakes.

Hysterya had an even more unique ability than them. If he wanted he could pour any kind of emotion into a person using his eyes. But he wouldn’t use it, unless we ask him with some homemade cookies. Because he would need to take off his glasses and make direct eye contact with someone. The glasses are fake, it’s one thing we discovered that would help him be calmer.

Well, it was when a piglet noble appeared that I asked the twins to jump on him. He wants to put his hands on Gonya-chan! I know she is cute! BUT SHE IS OUR GONYA! He was surprised to see the twins start to complete each other's sentences. And they would always change at unexpected moments. It was funny to see his eyes wander to me.

“Oh sorry.” I said in the most Queen-like manner I could. “I don’t like when pi-*cough*others try to touch my things without asking. So I just asked them to talk to you about that.” I could see that the people started to gather to see the scene.

“Oh, my lady. I would never expect that you would happen to be a member of the royal family.” He then bows to me and knee. ‘WHAT THE FUCKING HELL? Why is he saying this nonsense? But let’s play with the cards he gave me!’

“It looks like you understand. Now lick the floor before Gonya’s feet.” He looked displeased at me. “Did you not hear me? What you did to her would directly reflect in my image so you need to do something to repay me. Don’t you agree?” I say with a smirk.

“But, but… to lick the floor will humiliate my family name! I would do anything you ask me to do for you but not that! Can you reconsider, my princess?” Hmm… I look at everyone in the crowd. And then I look at my clothes. I small smile floated in my face.

“I know a good way you can repay me then. You’re going to buy US clothes. And I will choose what we’re going to get. Did you get it, pig?”

“YES, YOUR MAJESTY!” He had feared that I would strip him of his power? I would never do such a thing… I will strip off his fortune!

“Now guide US to the best place you know so we can get some decent clothes.” He quickly started to walk and we follow him.

It was then that I heard why he had said I was of the royal family. It looks like the combo of my hair and eyes just appears in this nation's royal family.

He guided us to a beautiful store. It had lots of nice dresses, robes and daily clothes. I smirked when I looked at the prices. ‘Let’s bankrupt him!’ I thought and with my eyes I transmit it to everyone. They all nod and go look for clothes. I walked to the counter where a 30 year old woman was eyeing at us with a strange look, but when she saw my eyes she changed her face.

“What brings the princess of our nation to my humble store?” She said.

“Nothing more than a pi-a noble gentleman that had offered to pay for us.” I say pointing to the rotten noble. “He said he will pay for all the things I and my fr-servants are going to buy.” I smile at her and I could see her eyes shining.

“You can pick whenever you want, my princess. We have some good dresses that would look great on you! Do you want to try wearing them here too, princess?”

“Yes, my lovely lady.” I small and composed smile appeared in my lips.

We took our time choosing our clothes. I think we bought nearly half of the things the lady had in her store. And now she would probably boast to everyone that she had sold things to a royal family member. We couldn’t carry everything that we had with us so I asked the pig to give me a good storage ring. He looked to me as if asking why a royal wouldn’t already have one, but when he looked at my eyes he ran away and when he came back he had an expensive-looking ring in his hand.

“Thank you for your patronage, my good sir!” The lady had said to him when he paid her. I could see his agonised face. I think he did have a little more money, but let's not get carried away and blow our cover.

“I’m happy that you were so kind as to pay for the ring, too. Now you can go.” Saying that I start to walk to where we had left our birds.

On the street no one dared to stop us now. I was using one of my new black dresses and all of the demons were wearing expensive clothing. I could see that the guys were all wearing white and black robes. The girls were wearing dresses. We had more colourful clothes, Gonya-chan got a blueish dress, Treo had got a pink one, it would look cute if she could stop teasing her brother to change clothes with her… Lakuen had a white one piece dress, and Jink was wearing a green one.

We enter the rooms we had rented in an inn near the gate. I could hear the people gasp, barely able to breathe properly from shock. We had rented 2 big rooms and now we all had a shower and change into our traveling clothes.

We had decided to get out of the city tonight. We didn’t need to attract more attention now, so I used the hood of my robe to hide my hair.

It was midnight and we had successfully jumped out of our rooms. We departed faster than ever and as we got out of the city I saw some human soldiers enter the inn we were staying at. This time we were lucky. Let’s not use that roleplay anymore… if possible.

We stopped in other cities, but luckily I didn’t needed to roleplay anymore. We would just stop for one or two days to see the cities. They had some smaller towns as well, where we could relax for more than just a couple of days.

It was in one of those stops after 2 months of walking almost non-stop, that we heard of a city near the border with the beastmen realm a king was in need of mercs or any kind of powerful soldier.

It took us nearly two months to find said city. It was evening when we reached the top of a hill from where we could see past a forest to a great walled city surrounding a castle. We had only to travel a day before we could reach it.

The castle was bigger than any we had seen before. The demon realm had big castles, but this one looked much older and could have a great story too. It was then we heard Gonya’s voice.

“Smoke and dust.” She was pointing to the town. We all looked where she pointed. It was at that time that I noticed other things, some holes in the walls and some other small things.

“THE CASTLE!” Hysterya shouted and I looked at it. It had been burning and without much damage, but it suddenly started to crumble over itself! We all looked at that without saying any words.

We had passed a few minutes in silence, staring at the former castle, before even the town itself gave up and was destroyed.

““It can’t be an invasion force… They wouldn’t destroy a town that they could use!”” The twins were saying. ““Something strange happened there!”” Their eyes were shining. “Gon-chan! Could” Treo started “you hear what happened?” And Trui finished.

“No, much noise in the forest. Couldn’t get anything… Just… a laugh. It sounded liked the Mad Hy-kun.” If she heard it from this distance then it was really loud and remarkable… and the Mad Hysterya… I don’t want to see him…

“Hey, can we go see that ruins?” Hysterya asked… ‘WHY DO YOU WANT TO SEE IT?! DID YOU NOT HEAR WHAT GONYA JUST SAID?!’ I wanted to shout… but we were going anyway. The boys had some excited eyes…

“*Sigh* Do what you want.” I said to them and we marched a little before camping at the edge of the forest.
