Subject: Cross-Dimensional Bridge Research and Analysis

Context:

September 5th, 2020. Officers of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department and Everglades Park Rangers came into contact with the Cross-Dimensional Bridge dubbed simply as "The Portal". Upon realization of the matter, Federal Security teams quickly alleviated the officers and secured The Portal. Operating under the assumption that this may have been a portal to either another location on Earth or a portal to an alternate dimension, the President approved an operation to dispatch a Battalion of US Marine Corps Units and supporting Florida National Guard Units, to secure and explore the Portal Dimension and Surrounding Everglades-Fort Lauderdale-Miami area.

Official Reports of the World have concluded that The Portal has tunneled into an alternate realm where fantastical elements only believed to exist in Fiction are confirmed to exist. The Presence of native wildlife and sentient beings has also cemented the requirement for the United States to send more manpower and resources into the Portal World to assess and deal with any threat in the Portal Realm. Members of the Five Eyes (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, The United Kingdom, The United States), Germany, France, South Korea, and Japan, have been briefed by the Central Intelligence Agency about the portal's existence. We have asked those respective governments to keep this information Top Secret. All governments involved have agreed to the terms and are cooperating with our intelligence officers over the subject matter.

Blue Monday:

The Federal Government has given express authorization for members of the ACRA (Atlantic Cooperative Research Association) to send scientists into the new world to further our understanding of the portal and the world beyond. So far, their conclusions are astounding, though it is too intense to discuss here. The ACRA has also concluded that the opening of this portal may be related to Operation Blue Monday, 1975. A joint US-USSR-UK Wormhole Research Program that the ACRA participated in under strict classification. However, this is merely speculation. Official data from Blue Monday proved inconclusive, and the program was scrapped by both American and Soviet scientists in 1980, after hostilities between the two nations flared, both after the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan and the Election of Ronald Reagan. ACRA has compiled all of its information and given it to the US government under an agreement, that the ACRA would receive exclusive access to any new developments in the field of theoretical physics. As such, information about The Portal has been disclosed to their agency. The CIA has been informed that the current Russian government may still hold Portal Research gathered from Blue Monday, and as such, the existence of the Portal must be kept Top Secret to uphold US hegemony in the new world and prevent foreign intervention.

Classification:

Any information related to or about The Portal, even acknowledging its existence, is not to be declassified until The Iscariot War in the New World has ended or until 9/5/2024. Whichever comes first. All current soldiers and personnel within The Portal are prohibited from speaking about it. The CIA maintains phone taps into all private conversations between The Portal world and Earth, and actively works to censor keywords and phrases, and has been given the ability to shut down a phone call at will. All personnel and soldiers are prohibited from leaving The Portal world, until 9/5/2024, or until the Iscariot War ends. Whichever comes first. Logistical personnel is exempt from this, however, they must not be informed of the existence of The Portal or the Portal World. They are to be kept ignorant of any specific military operations in the New World, and The FBI has been given the task of keeping a watch on logistical staff to ensure that they will not breach any unauthorized data.

All casualties related to the New World will be associated with the war in Korea, Afghanistan, Syria, or as accidents in Training Missions. No cost is too high to keep this information secret.

The military Base in Ithaca will receive reinforcements in the form of US Army forces who will supply the base with M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks, LAV-25s, Stryker Mobile Gun Carriers, CH-53 Seastallions Transport/Utility Helicopters, UH-1Y Venom Transport/Utility Helicopters, AH-1Z Viper Attack Helicopters, and Logistical trucks and crew transports. Any further reinforcements will undergo a series of approvals and authorizations by related US Federal Agencies.

Friendly Assistance:

MI6 has also requested express access to The Portal realm due to their involvement in Operation Blue Monday, by sending a highly specialized force of their own into the Portal. The CIA and MI6 have collaborated in the few weeks to create a highly-specialized force known as, "Fantastical Environment Combat Unity" or FECU. They will be made of elite CIA-JSOC, SAS, and SBS. The FECU will be trained to research, assess, and combat any fantastical elements that our forces may come across in The Portal World. They may also assist in general combat, and perform any action that combat leaders in Ithaca deem fit.

Ascension/Ithaca:

The Earth-bound side of the Portal and its immediate area in a 1 Mile circular radius extending from the portal opening, will be converted into a Florida National Guard base. Taking property away from the Everglades Park will be a bad PR move, however, the CIA has already begun operations to pin the blame on Cuban activities in the Gulf of Mexico. The Base will be referred to as "Ascension" and its commander will be known as "Kilo One". Ascension's sister base, Ithaca, also has a commander known as "Eagle Six". These two bases will work in tandem to ensure the control of the Portal World and the Security of Federal Territory.

War and Strategic Objectives:

Eagle Six has been given express permission to use anything within his arsenal, and all tactics to ensure a quick a decisive victory in the New World. Special Permissions have been granted that would be otherwise illegal on Earth, given that the Geneva Convention does not apply to new worlds and the fantastical creatures are not protected under any international criminal court. However, actions that would constitute war crimes have been expressly discouraged, and Eagle Six has been advised to try and fight via legal and civil conduct.

Our enemies, the Iscariot Empire, are a large expansionist Empire that lies on the other side of the portal. They are comprised of a race of bipedal humanoids that resemble animals on Earth. Genetic testing is not available to confirm whether or not any DNA is shared between the two. The Iscariot Empire is a highly xenophobic Empire and is confirmed to use Human slaves (and slaves of other species) to fuel their Imperial ambitions and economy. As such, our mission must be made to liberate slaves and convert the local populace to our side. We are currently attempting to court Humans and oppressed Non-Humans to join our forces, the Falkland Empire (Not related to the Falkland Islands on Earth) remains uncontacted though we remain hopeful that friendly relations will soon begin.

Our mission goals are to end the war first and foremost by forcing the technologically inferior Iscariots into submission through several means. Destroying the economy through a war of attrition, instigating rebellion with friendly internal factions to destabilize the regime, assassination of key leaders to destroy the Iscariot War Effort, and starving the Iscariot population to force a quick surrender. All of these tactics are being considered and implemented going forward, as we launch our first offensive of the year. The Battle of Minerva will give us more intelligence on our enemy forces, and we may be able to establish contact with friendly internal factions that can assist our war effort. We also hope to deploy the FECU teams into Minerva to assist the Marine Corps/Army assault. They will be commandeered both by an MI6 commander in Ithaca and by Eagle Six.

In conclusion, a series of intense and rigorous planning has gone underway to ensure that the portal is understood and all potential knowledge is extracted to further technological innovation. Allied hegemony in The Portal realm must also be protected to gain access to a potentially endless new world safe for expansion and resource-gathering. Testing of magical properties in the new world will begin shortly, and we expect great results. FECU Teams are currently being dispatched into the Portal Realm, and Operation Blue Monday is being reignited with the ACRA again overseeing the research of the Portal. Professor Judith May is the new head of the Portal Research team and will answer to the Department of Homeland Security about any new developments.

We expect a quick and resolute victory in The Portal Realm, and as such, we feel confident that our endeavors will be achieved.
