《The Egotistical Ruler [DROPPED]》Chapter 20: Yellow

Back to Emperor's viewpoint. P.S. Passivly is a dick, he should've read the story a bit. Judging by the character is okay for deciding whether or not to read it but rating is a no go.
Emperor's charge into the swarming mass of mosquitos hit. He was forced to stop to a complete standstill against this immovable mass. The villagers behind him attacked beside him, with proper weapons they quickly killed mosquitos but more appeared behind them. Emperor futilely continued pushing against this mass before him. Thanks to the villagers he didn't get attacked at all as the mosquitos in front of him were squished against their kin.
Khan charged towards the swarm himself in an odd way. He could've chose to charge from the side since there was just barely enough space and could flank them. But no he charged straight to the center just like Emperor. Which happens to be where Emperor is still located at this time.
Khan crashed behind Emperor and instead of stopping he continued pushing Emperor against the mosquitos.
'What the heck is wrong with Khan!? Wait my feet are still able to touch the ground.'
Emperor managed to reach his feet to the ground and pushed forward slightly. He happily began pushing again with the force of Khan supporting him now rather than unbalancing him. He then began spamming a skill.
-Impale
Emperor kept using the Impale skill until the mosquito before him died which made Khan push him against the next mosquito. It began a strange co-op attack upon the seemingly limitless mosquitos. Soon they were deep withing the mass of mosquitos. Emperor continually used Impale as the mosquitos surrounded and pushed against him from all sides. Khan got separated from him but he was doing well with his martial skills. Emperor could only use Impale as the enemies were too close to effectively use Berserk. Which is ironic since the skill specializes in close combat.

Emperor paused to catch his breathe and realized the whole situation seemed ridiculous. He tried to save his breathe to spam Impale again but the laugh started to leak out. The echoing laugh bellowed from his gut, it burned his dry throat but he didn't mind. The euphoria from the adrenaline and the laughter itself served to restrict his sense of pain.
Skill Adrenaline acquired, skill leveled up
A slight rumble was heard and then the mosquitos as quick as they came they left. Emperor and the rest of the group were shocked but it was well received. The villagers saw it as the end of the battle and began cheering. Emperor, Khan, and Kendrick knew better, that was just a tactical retreat not a successful rout.
They ordered the villagers to rest and recuperate for the next battle and did so themselves. Emperor quickly quenched his thirst then began laughing at nothing all of a sudden so he decided to check a few things.
Skill: Warmonger's Bellow
Rarity: 1 star
Level: 3
As someone who enjoys war, your laugh carries a great weight. Does it contain happiness, cruelty, lust, or a hidden sadness. Whatever it contains it resonates with your comrades and strikes fear into your enemies. Most cannot fathom the act of laughing during war, but not only do you do it, you cannot contain it. Small chance of removing debuffs, increases coordination between allies, temporarily raises leadership, small chance of debuffing enemies.
Skill: Berserk
Rarity: Very Common
Level: 2
You strike out at enemies in any way you can. Teeth, fists, elbows, legs, feet, head, etc you use everything in your arsenal to inflict damage. Very commonly learned and used skill due to its effectiveness and lack of skill to use it well. Works better in close combat and against more than one enemy.

'Nice but I really should rename that last skill.'
-Rename Minotaur Mimicry to Emperor's Discipline
Request denied, Admin changed skill name to Empiric Minotaur Mimicry
'...'
Emperor then flipped off the sky then sat down.
'Close enough, did that admin think my naming sense was bad?'
Just then a rumbling was felt throughout the caverns and a sound like a helicopter was approaching their position. The villagers got up and readied their weapons once again. Emperor and Kendrick kept their ears and eyes open as the noise was more suspicious than before. Khan recklessly ran towards the sound as he wanted first blood.
As he turned the corner he stopped seemingly for no reason then roared loudly as though he was trying to intimidate something then ran back towards them with fear in his eyes.
-What's wrong Khan!?
"It's that bug, the yellow one that leads the bugs." replied Khan
Then they all turned as a giant bug turned the corner. It was hideous yet eerily shiny. The other mosquitos glowed as though they had bloodstones in their bodies but this one glowed as though molten yellow lava existed within it. It was as big as a 4 buses stacked in a cube shape and just barely fit through the tunnel. It had way more appendages than a normal mosquito making it look like a cross between a jellyfish and a mosquito.
When it saw the group of humans that had been wreaking havoc on its territory it became enraged. It began to put its legs together and scraped them together like it was playing a bunch of violins. The noise that came out was earth shattering and ripped up the nearby ground. It sounded like nails against a chalkboardX10. It debuffed all the villagers, Emperor, and Khan with deafness and flinching. It then ambled closer to them and ended the chapter.
Sorry got distracted right before I finished the chapter.

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)

Green Raven, a Running with Devils LitRPG
One minute Ronald McGreen was thinking about how he would get out of the cleaning closet his new classmates had thrown him in. The next he is transferred to something of a waiting room for a new game world. Giving him two hard choices. Not that he wasn’t used to hard choices since his fathers death and his mothers depression, where he chose to step up and do everything in his power to get his mother back up on her two feet. This is a story of a young man around 16-17 years growing up and making choices for himself, that sometimes affects others. This story is a slow burn, the MC will become stronger but he has insecurities that he needs to overcome and so on. I've read plenty of books over the years and lately fallen hard for the LitRPG genre of Fantasy, and this is my first attempt to write a book.
