The crew had been having fun and currently waiting for Toshiro to come back.
Suddenly. Ukyo received a call from him.
"H-hello, Ukyo?"
"Toshiro, what's up?"
"Please help me here, ack. My body aches."
"Huh!? Someone ambushed you!? We're gonna go immediately! Stay put!"
"No. But please go here first. I'll tell you what happened later."
"Okay! We're coming immediately! Gather our strongest fighters!"
After assembling they immediately ran to back Toshiro up.
Many people could be seen running through the streets. Those are members of Iron Fists. In the crowd includes Ukyo and Satoshi.
"Faster. Toshiro calls for help." Ukyo commanded.
"Yes!"
Soon, they arrived at the alleyway Toshiro is in by navigating the tracking app.
"Toshiro!" Ukyo called out.
"You guys arrived." Toshiro sigh in relief.
"Who's this guy?" Ukyo asked.
"He's also a freshman. Introduce yourself."
"Uh… I'm Boichi Abe! Freshman in class 3-A! It's an honor to meet you!"
"Oh… alright. But that's not the situation here. I'll get back to you later. Where are the assailants?" Ukyo replied
"Gone." Toshiro answered.
"Then… do you know their faces? How many of them are there?"
"I remember his face. A lot."
"His!?"
"Yeah. It's just a one on one."
"What the fuck!? How come our great Toshiro beaten up like that in a one on one!?" The bewildered Satoshi exclaimed.
"It's true, guys. It's just a one on one. We're even."
"Then how come this other guy is beaten up too?" Ukyo asked.
"Because of misunderstanding."
"Sigh– just tell us the whole story."
"Okay, okay."
Toshiro proceeds to tell everything in utmost detail.
"So that's what happened. I see… tell us his name."

"There's no need for that Ukyo. Just leave him alone. I'm also at fault. Besides, he's only trying to protect this guy. But I misunderstood it and got short-tempered. I'm sorry."
"Alright, alright. If that's what you want. We'll respect that."
"Thank you."
"Okay! Let's go back to our base! You too! Boichi. Follow us." Ukyo shouted.
"Y-yes!"
They managed to return in a few minutes and continued their fun after then.
"Hahaha! That's so wild! Our great Toshiro-sama's been beaten up!" A muscular member laughed
"I told you! Ryu! He can't feel pain! It's unfair! He's also withstanding all of my attacks!"
"But that guy said he would hunt that bully down?" Ukyo asked
"Yeah. He said he knows that guy."
"Really, huh?"
"Toshiro. I guess it's not that he can't feel pain. If he does told you that he hardly feel a thing. Then he doesn't have a disorder. He simply has an extremely high tolerance! Because why would he expect you to make him feel pain if he has a disorder that makes him not feel it?" Satoshi pointed out.
"U-um… that guy helped me when I was near unconscious during the beating. I didn't see everything as I have fallen unconscious that time but that guy is a good person!" Boichi told
them.
"Oh right! Boichi! Would you join us?" Toshiro asked.
"Uh… um… I-I don't know. I'm not good at fighting... So…"
"Our crew is not all about fighting."
"Yeah! Not all of us could fight but we still fight when needed!" A member shouted.
"Uh… I guess I'll join?"
"Of course you would!" A member near him then grabbed him closer and hugged him.
"Eh… haha."
After then. They had fun until night.

Weeks ago.
Somewhere around Shibuya city. In a gang lair.
A man who had a good build—the one who grabbed Takeshi the first day and boss of a crew— had been kneeling.
"Sir! Give us another chance please, we'll take over that high school pretty soon! There are just a few obstacles including the Iron Fists!"
"Che. I told you to take men with you if you needed. You're lucky because of your father's influence and connections. Without it, your crew should have been just fodders by now."
"T-thank you!"
"By the way. Who did that to Izu and those he brought with him?"
"It's a student there. Like Izu said. That guy uses dirty tactics and weapons. He doesn't play fair!"
"But they got back like that. Also. He didn't give Izu obvious wounds. It's all targeted to his torso. Is it so that he would still be able to go to school?"
"He's Izu's classmate, sir!"
"Okay, okay. What a mess. Go on. Just lay low for now. Buckle up yourselves for a few weeks. After then. We'll move."
"Yes sir!"
He then left.
"Iron Fists… you've been a pain all these years. This time, we'll absorb you." He mumbled to himself.
Back to the present time. Takeshi's currently on his shift in the store and Mitsuo's there too.
"Hah! Take that Takeshi-san!"
"As if I'll let you."
They currently are playing Tekken and Takeshi improved more as the time goes on them play together. Suddenly someone entered the store.
"A customer." Mitsuo exclaimed.
It's Yasuo. Whose name they do not know yet.
"Welcome sir."
That guy brought energy drinks as he is drenching in sweat and some protein bars.
As Yasuo is going to pay. Mitsuo asked.
"Wait. Aren't you from K High?"
"Uh… yes. Why is that?"
"Oh! We're from there too! Ah! I remembered. I saw you running on the field at school! Your muscles are amazing! What's your name?"
"Yasuo Kubo."
"Mitsuo Hagiwara! Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too."
"Hey, hey. Introduce yourself too."
"Ugh, fine. Takeshi Suda."
"Nice to meet you." Yasuo greeted.
"Me too."
"Alright. Thank you but I have to go. I have to complete my daily routine."
"Mnm."
"Bye! Kubo-san!"
"Just call me Yasuo please."
"Oh, okay."
And with that. Yasuo left.
In a gym. Somewhere around a wealthy neighborhood.
"Ruri. Your kicks are getting stronger each day."
Ruri Nakada. The kickboxer whom Yasuhiko fought last time.
She stopped kicking to reply.
"Yeah, big bro. It's because I wanted to become stronger like you!"
As she continued kicking the boxing bag that produced loud sound each hit.
"You're right. But are you sure you don't need me to take revenge for you?"
"Hmph! No need! I'll do it myself."
"Okay. If that's what you wanted. I'll be out of it."
"Besides. What if you killed him? Like you did with your past opponent? That would be murder and I don't want you to be jailed because of me."
"Alright, alright. If that's what my imouto wanted. Then I shouldn't have to worry you I guess. Let's just continue making you stronger. Besides. I had quit after that fight. I'm just focusing here on this gym that I established."

The Priest of Genes
Meet Seth, acolyte in the Church of Virtue. He’ll be a Priest like his father soon, he just knows it. Sure he didn’t inherit his mother’s preaching power, but he doesn’t mind being the secondary priest at whatever temple he is assigned to. Just as long as he has a library. Meet this genetics textbook. Hmm, that doesn’t belong here. It must have come from somewhere far away, I guess something happened to its owner. I’m sure a studious young man who likes healing could go far with this information, whether he wants to or not. This is my first time really writing anything, so I hope you like it! Please let me know if I make any mistakes; I have a new R&D tech job at a genomics company, so I probably don’t edit as much as some people. I’m shooting for two thousand-ish word chapters released on Sundays, since none of the webnovels I read ever seem to update that day. Underserved Market! Genre is fantasy, possibly progression fantasy. Maybe a tiny bit litRPG if you wait a while and squint really hard, but that’s the most I’m prepared to claim. Hedged my bets on the content warnings, nothing that bad. Cover art from A. W. Gelman

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. I am also not a professional author. This is simply a rough draft and therefore subject to change. Furthermore, this fiction is rather slow-paced for a rather long time. But compare it to a bundle of dynamite, you wouldn't want that to explode right in someone's face, would you? This is my first story to ever be posted. As I am an amateur writer, there shall be mistakes. More so with the fact that English is not my first language. This story is a re-write, and its original version was a request by a dear friend of mine. Though hopefully this version would be far better.. As the original version was a very cringe worthy thing. Many thanks to certain friends that have convinced me to post this. I shall do my best to at least update frequently, without sacrificing the.. quality of chapters. Tags will be added as the story goes on. || Disclaimer: Much of the chapters before Chapter Twelve are of poorer quality in terms of Grammar. So do forgive me for them, by Chapter Twelve and beyond however, the quality of the chapters should have had improved. I'm hopefully gonna fix most of the earlier chapters when I hit Chapter Twenty or Thirty.

Talin Greymarch attends the prestigious Sovereign Guard Shaman Academy, the greatest institute of learning for shamanic cultivation in the kingdom of Ilios. As he struggles with his day to day school life and cultivation, little does Talin know that he has fallen into the middle of a conspiracy that threatens to shatter the world once again. A merger of the tropes and stylings of Eastern cultivation or Xianxia with Western Sword and sorcery fantasy stories, Path of the Shaman seeks to blur the line between the two. My goal is to establish a believable fantasy world, and I want to pace the story so that I can do that properly. If that sounds appealing to you please give this story a chance. Release schedule: My schedule will be a little inconsistent due to my job, but I aim to release about twice a week.
