Chapter Nine: Quest Rewards Part One
I’ve always found Mother Wolves beautiful, from their white and black coats, to large bodies that could come up to a man’s shoulders or my waist, and their insane maternal instincts. They’ll attempt to adopt any young creature they find and raise it as their own and always was able to recognize it, and it’s child will always recognize their mother too. It would go without saying they’d mourn each others lose…
I look at the large wolf's body with pity, I hate that such a beautiful beast like this died because of me, and the young she left behind didn’t even know. I feel hesitant to skin her, but It would be a waste otherwise, I’d take the meat then to. But what about the young?
I took a quick count at the numbers after they had their fill and slept, three puppy Mother Wolves, two prairie cats, and one wolf I couldn’t Identify. I never raised anything before and honestly didn’t want to, but if I left them here they’d die. So either I kill them here or take care of them.
I sigh, take out my sword and get to work. A few hours later I made it to the guild a little before lunch, Vanessa see’s me and waves me over to her. She looks at the sack I’m holding but doesn’t say anything about it, and waits till I sit down to talk.
“Back already, I knew you could take down a couple of goblins. Now if you would hand me your guild card so I can review your quest, and hand out your rewards.” Vanessa said levelly, but with her eyes practically glowing. I hand her my card, and she sticks it into her computer.
She say’s nothing as looks at her computer, and a minute or so later she hands me back my guild card. “Alright Atlas, you’ve killed sixty five goblins, twenty hobgoblins and one orge, scouted out the goblins home and cleared it, good job. Now you will be rewarded two hundred credits for finding the home completing your first quest, killing the goblins and hobgoblins there for forty seven and fifty credits completing your second quest, and one thousand for the orge subjugation quest and giving you fifty nine hundred and fifty credits, that's enough for you take someone on a good date.” Vanessa said level but with a wink at the end.

“I didn’t think you’d want to date me for money.” I said while looking at my guild card watching the steadily rising number in the top right corner with the words credit beside it.
“No! No, no, no I didn’t mean it like that! Sorry Atlas, I just heard guy’s don’t like it when their lover’s pay instead of them,” She said with flustered, and dyed deep red.
“Vanessa, do I look like the type to turn down a free meal?”
“No.. Wait do you want to get some-”
“Sorry, I’m going to busy soon so I just take a rain check on that, by the way do you know a butcher?”
“Yes I do- Wait a minute what’s got you so busy you need a rain check?!” Vanessa asks forcefully, and getting mere inches from my face.
I sigh, open my sack show Vanessa.
“These, these are what are going to be keeping me busy over the next couple of days.”
Inside my sack on top of my furs are a pile of baby animals.
“Aww, where did you find these Atlas? Wait you're not going to eat them are, that’s not why you're going to butcher right?!” Vanessa asks increasingly more desperate.
I pull out my other sack and show her the raw meat inside. “Oh that's why you need a butcher, but wait where did you get these babies and where are their mothers?”
I sigh once again, “I killed a Mother Wolf with a trap, and now I going to take care of these guys till their old enough to fend for themselves…. Hey do you know where I can find some animal milk?”
“Yeah, I do let, no wait I’m about to go on lunch break I can show you some places. So just sit down and wait till I’m done.” Vanessa said calmly, but with a hint of sadness in her eyes.

I got up from clerk's desk and went to sit down, with my new… pets I guess? I had to be extra careful moving the babies into my bag, I first put a bunch of the furs in the sack and finally place their mothers on top, which feels amazing soft and fluffy perfect for sleeping, and then put the babies on top, but they cried and whined but eventually found comfort with their siblings falling asleep on the pile of pelts. And then went back grabbed the other stuff from the goblins cave and walked back over to town, while making sure to be as slow and carefully as possible to make sure the babies are not woken.
I have actually grown a little attached to the little guys, but still I’d rather find someone else to take care of them for me, and just leave them till they're old enough for me to train, but is there anybody in town to take care of them? Maybe Carcajou, but that would probably be more alongs the lines of him just keeping them alive, though I should hit him up to find if he had anything to help me with this. But I don’t even know where he lives.
I found Vanessa tapping on my shoulder waking me from my thoughts, she must have changed when I wasn’t paying attention since she’s wearing a white, form fitting turtleneck and black jeans, which she looks quite nice in. She smiling ear to ear at and said “Ready to go on our date?”
With all my suave and charm I answer “What date? And don’t you have work?”
She didn’t frown or anything, just answered “Well the way I see it, I’ll be taking you around town all day, so I’m leaving work early since this looks like it’ll take awhile, but since we’re going to take all afternoon I’m going to milk this as much as possible, so yes this is also going to be a date.” She answers sweetly. “Oh and don’t worry, you just have to give the tip.”
I a grin spread over my face "You sure you just want the tip?" I said with surely no other meanings, and Vanessa's face go's red all over. I then held my arm out, to which she happily grabs on too, and gently takes one of my bags, which I nod at and we leave the guild.

Rebirth of the Thief Who Roamed The World
The world’s largest VRMMO, Conviction, was almost like a second world for humanity. It had integrated itself into the real world’s economy, with both corporations and individuals seeking their fortunes through the game. In this game, Nie Yan prided himself in his Level 180 Thief. He could barely be considered among the top experts in the game. Though, that was the only thing he could take pride in. He was penniless and unable to advance in life; a situation he was forced into by the enemy of his father. If it weren’t for the little money he made by selling off items in Conviction, he would’ve barely been able to eat. In the end, he chose to settle his matters once and for all. He assassinated his father’s enemy. He lay dying shortly after being shot in the pursuit. However, that wasn’t the end of his story. The Madec Legacy
The dawn of Emotion Based A.I.s is here, John is the fifth test subject to have an AI implemented in his brain, and so far the first one to survive. Blinded by the dream of immortality, the researchers push the tests to inhumane standards. John is obligated to take part in sessions of torture designed to test the limits of the AI influence over the physical and mental health. What was supposed to be a new beginning in life turns into living hell. An (un)lucky twist ends his life. John then reincarnates with his AI in a new world where a System influences the interaction between Magic and Matter. With seemingly limitless potential and a game-like system influencing the world, the hero sets on his journey. --AUTHOR NOTE, PLEASE READ-- I will state here my promises to you, potential reader: 1. No harem! I don't trust myself to make a harem feel natural or healthy, I never met any person who has a personality that can adapt and live in a harem for reasons that are not monetary, so I can't draw inspiration from real life. Sorry!; 2. The enemies will not be bland and illogically mean. Some may feel like that at first, but I will take great care in fleshing them out, trust me. You may end up hating some, but you won't be able to deny that they had their reasons for what they did; 3. I am using a paid (and expensive) automated editor tool, and I take longer to write because I take my time in editing the stuff. I am aiming to improve and I will not shy away from constructive criticism, nor take offense for no reason; 4. Characters will die and will suffer, some will get over the tragedies and improve, others will not be as resilient. 5. This novel has a lot of ground to cover, it is neither a short story, a manual on crafting, or the script of some action scene. There will be both time skips and oversimplifications of some actions for the sake of moving the story forward. Time skips will be more prominent in the first 30 chapters. I will describe crafting processes and fights with more detail if they are essential for the chapter; 6. If I took my time describing something, it's because it is important. I hate novels that waste time describing useless stuff. If you skim over something, the chances are that something in the future will not make sense. I am an adept of "Chekhov's gun" principle; 7. I already have 31k words on my auxiliary documents, I have a plan for the story, and I will not be making changes even if someone ends up noticing some foreshadowing and figures out what will happen. The story comes first. 8. I have a wife, a job that demands 9h every day and courses related to my job (lawyer) three days of the week, it's unlikely that I will be able to do mass releases at all. I will have a healthy amount of chapters to be able to post at least 1 chapter every day continually. Don't worry. 9. I will read all the comments. I will listen to all you have to say and will try my best to accommodate demands as long as they do not hamper the path I prepared. 10. There is an arc that spans the entire novel. Each volume will be an arc in itself while progressing a little bit of the main arc. Every arc will have one or more main antagonists. I think that's it! Thank you for reading it all. Have an awesome time reading my first novel!!

Condemned
“The human body is a fragile thing. But the soul... The soul is malleable. Easily tainted. All it takes is one drop of blood to dye it all red.” Long ago, in a time remembered only by a few, the seven lords of Syvernia, led by the Great Hero Ludwig, ended the Great Calamity that plagued humanity for as long as time itself. It was the dawn of a new age of man. . . until the thirst for more poisoned the new lords. Slowly, the thread that held humanity together loosened and a thick haze consumed the lands between. Mysterious vanishings, supernatural forces, and silence warns of a looming threat inside the coat of fog. Though the struggle of the realms did not interest Leor, for he was condemned as a Purblight, until he took a seemingly simple job: escort Alden to Lightendale and collect the handsome reward, a reward that would let him live the rest of his life with ease. But it’s never that simple, especially for someone who denounced the Gods. All his life, death followed Leor everywhere he went, cutting down his friends and family. When his first love died at the hands of an agent of light, he was prepared to throw everything away until a mysterious voice promised him a chance for retribution and a chance to bring her back by completing the seven trials. Thrown into the realm's struggle against the approaching haze and themselves, will Leor, a Purblight and an acquaintance of tragedy, use the very power he disdains to accomplish his goals? This is the rewrite of my novel: Condemned; I changed it to past tense and added/ took out some ideas from the original. This is essentially the first draft since I'm writing as I go. Also, there might be or might not be Gore, Sexual, or Traumatizing content. I only put it there for a disclaimer in case I want to add it. I have no set release schedule yet, but I'll try to post once every 2 week. Thanks for your patience.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
