I decided to make a time skip here.

I had some thoughts about making her live through another year of mostly normal school life. But I personally think it could be better if I use flashbacks from that time at some points.

Sorry to say though that this chapter is pretty short and mostly an explanation of a new set of characters that Alex will interact with later on.

And somehow my Format got damaged during the Transfer, I'll try to fix it at another time.

one year later

Stop... it disgusts me. They have been "training" me for almost a year now. To shut them up I've never shown them the full extent of what I can actually do. I always acted as if I made progress and they acted like I was a genius.

The way you train espers is by teaching them concentration techniques and trying to find ways to use your powers differently....

Meaning they can't compare to what me and.... Zoe came up with.

I've chased off all "friends" here. The stench of decay makes everyone puke that tries to come to close to me. Although I make it more subtle when around people I need to be around.

Lane once told me to take a bath already but I wanted the stench of death to stay...

It will remind me of what had happened that day.

I look around the room.

Today I'm wearing long black cargo pants with big pockets, a long sleeved cotton shirt of the same color and a dark green vest.

I like the army style. It makes people stay away from you. and you can also easily hide your face if you always walk around with a ski mask around your neck....

The other members of my.... "training" squad are assembled.

It seems Lane will talk to us today as we are the best ones of the new students that had come...

and the easiest to manipulate too.

We where six in total...

1: John Marley [highest tier lv 3]

Short dark blond hair. Lean muscular frame. Intelligent and a face that had the ladies running to him from miles.

Name probably given to him by himself. He's able to extend time. But only if he listens to music. Controlling the speed of the music he listens to enables him to control the flow of time. He's also able to use music for other purposes. I've only seen part of it though. I've just seen him go super fast, or run in any wall he wants to. He also seems to be able to make his body move with music making his fighting style almost unpredictable. Hence the name . It seems he also wants to date me really badly But I really don't like him that much. As such I've already dumped him around 6 times as I have absolutely no interest in even getting close to him.

2: Karif Azid [lowest tier lv 4]

Black hair and looks much younger than he actually is. He has a small stature and does speak a lot with a everlasting happiness. He's one of the nicer guys in the group I guess.

Easygoing Indian boy. He is actually able to control his shadow... or any shadow as such. It can be convenient as he can make his own body ethereal dodging any physical harm going for him. He can also use shadows to physically touch objects. All kind of stuff really. In addition he's also a senser. Meaning he can sense the potential of espers by "touching" their shadow... I've let him do that once but he wasn't able to focus on scanning in that particular moment.

3: Velvet "Flash" Darven [high tier lv 3]

Dark hair that's slightly longer than Johns reaching to his shoulders. He's also very athletic but in a more leaner, more feminine way. His body doesn't show a lot of muscle, but also lacks any fat. All in all a well rounded character. But he doesn't talk a lot anyways.

He can use short distance teleportation and he can take almost anything with him that he touches with his skin. Meaning he can just teleport in front of you with a metal pole making the pole appear directly inside of your head. It's not an easy power to control though. Even one mistake in his "dimension" as he calls it will lead to his own instant and probable gruesome death. As such he does not take a lot with him to his dimension. He always wears a skin tight one piece suit minimizing the risk of miscalculation.

4: Rachel Kaminski [highest tier lv 3]

Not much to say. Long blond hair. A beauty as such. Not a very muscular body. She looks like someone from a beauty advertisement showing off new skin creams or something. Her personality is horrible but she can manage. She also always tries to hook up with John, not sure why. I told her she could have him whenever she felt like it but I'm not sure if it ever worked until now.

Her power is quite easy. She's able to attach the unstoppable aspect to objects. This means that they cannot be stopped by anything. Even to herself. The only drawback is that she cannot control the trajectory of the object. Meaning it will only go into one direction and speed for as long as she herself does not stop it. Her area of effect is only 10 meters though. All her objects will lose that aspect as soon as they leave that area.

Her most devastating attack is herself running at full speed with that aspect on herself.

As such she literary become an unstoppable force running through anything and everyone until she herself decides to stop.

and lastly:

5: Mikael Kaminski [lower tier lv 4]

Rachel's brother. The same blonde hair but shorter. The same beautiful face. If not told that he is a boy you would expect him to be a girl. He also does not have a lot of muscles on his body. His character is quite arrogant. But just as his sister everyone can manage. Both of them can hold back on this trait and only annoy people with it when time actually allows it. As such he's easier to deal with than his sister.

His power is awkward. He is able to fixate his body's condition. Meaning if he fixes his condition at its peak he would be able to use his best power without running out of stamina for as long as his concentration does not get disturbed. Also his body will not change whatsoever. Making him almost invincible at times. It also has immense drawbacks though. If used too long and too frequently it will mess with his brain, making him unable to think clearly for a long period of time until his brain resets. Also if he fixes the wrong moment he could be trapped in pain inflicted by a wound that does not heal. Because he can only stop his own body. Meaning anything that pierces his skin in the moment before he fixes it will still get through and his body will not heal. This makes his power immensely strong but at the same time he has to be as careful as Velvet. Both of them can inflict an immense amount of pain to themselves with mistakes.

Well and then there's me.

Alexandra Mercer [lowest tier lv 4 {scanned on gravity}]

I started to cut my hair in military fashion, meaning my black hair doesn't even go beyond my forehead. The decaying stench had laid off a bit. But almost nobody wants to come close to me anyways. Only people like John who seems to like my military behavior or Velvet who just likes my quiet personality do.

Everything they know is that I'm able to utilize gravity to create an area around me where I am in total control. I can inflict huge pressure against multiple targets at the same time. You cannot easily protect yourself against a force that pulls you to the ground. But that is only what I want them to know though.

In reality this power was something I had copied from Zoe. And I had only been able to do that because I had seen the exact DNA copy of her mutation leading to that power.

My real power had always been the perfect control of my own cells. As long as I had the "blueprint" of something I could recreate it with my own body cells. The dolls of my parents which had apparently been kidnapped by the military had been nothing but dolls too.

The orders or lv espers could have changed a bit with time. As of now the levels still remained the same with lv 1 to 5. 5 being the strongest and 1 the weakest. But each level now had different stages that where calculated by people being able to scan.

It always went like this:

Lowest tier--Lower tier--upper lower tier--middle tier--lower high tier--high tier--highest tier

After you had reached the highest tier you would probably reach the next level. But that part was hard. This method of rating was still very primitive. But for now it had been enough. Our technically strongest member was Mikael because of his quick thinking and shit ton of concentration. I would probably win if I was given enough time, but officially I only had reached lv 4 recently and as such was only rated on the lowest tier in 4.

By the way, Lane apparently was a high tier lv 4 meaning she was one of the strongest espers in the united states, maybe even the world. As such she was idolized by a lot of people from school. Only annoying in my book to be honest.
