###Prelude to Disaster###

Deep within the military command center there exists an area known simply as Basement. It is rumored to be headquarters to the mythical Unit-71.

Mythical because no one knows if they even exists. The unlucky few privy to the secret know that a hint of a leak will end their own lives.

Unit 71 consists of just 21 individuals recruited from various sectors from crack investigators to cops to mafia guardians to martial artists. Separated from the chain of command they report to a 5 star General and they have just one order, "track down and kill terrorists by ANY MEANS NECESSARY". Each person in the Unit can easily bag a couple of Olympics Medal but they are satisfied as they are, saving countless lives by doing the lesser evil. They have a count of over 100 confirmed kills and over 200 unconfirmed high valued targets. Experts at infiltration and interrogation these men value honor over their lives. There are no ranks amongst the unit however a rank of Captain is awarded to the person who leads them.

Present Situation

At present the basement has a grim atmosphere, well relatively grim; the General has a way of turning any room with his presence into a torture chamber.

The silence of the room is broken by deep inhaling of the Havana Cigar and occasional beeps of the radio. The General is sitting at his usual place with a young man facing him stiff backed.

Suddenly the General barks at the young man "Have you thought this through Captain!!! the ramifications of your action will be disastrous. I order you to take back your resignation."

The young man sighs and says "Sorry General I just can't overlook this. I have things to do which do not involve the military."

General: "You know I can put you under supervised observation right?"

Young man: "So you will not let me resign? At least give me a year long vacation."

A visibly angry Generals shouts at the Captain "You damn fool do you think the enemies will holidaying along with you. You made the pact with the devil when you came here. Operational till death or injured that's our motto."

Young man: "Then consider this a medical emergency."

The young man picks up his gun and shoots himself in the calf. The bullet slices through the muscles preventing any bone damage but the effect on the General is devastating.

The general turns a couple of shades purple and says "Bastard!!! I can have you court marshalled, but I know 20 others will follow you if it happens. Get the wound treated and go home you have 6 months time to put your affairs in order and not a single second more."

The young man leaves the stuffy room and glances at his hands which are shaking violently now.

'Wow lucky the old man didn't shoot me himself'

After about a minute or two the General presses a button to summon Yuri his intelligence chief.

General: "You know what this is about?"

Yuri silently passes a thin black folder to the General. Grunting to relieve the tension the old man puffs his Cigar and starts reading.

3 pages into the report he blanches and mutters, "Yuri I want a detailed investigation on these Assholes and I want it as of yesterday. We must have the exact count of their group so that we know how many graves to dig."
