Last chapter for tonight. I need to be at school tomorrow at like 6:30 AM to do grades if I want to leave before noon lol.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Akiza was coming. She had ascended to the Lord Stage and was coming for Serph now. Serph felt the terrible power of the Dark Energy. He watched as Akira gritted his teeth. Akira had felt the power of the Dark Energy first hand. Kongming on the other hand was calm. It was because the power of a Demon Lord was nothing compared to the power of an Immortal, but they were still at a disadvantage. They had to hold back in order to not hurt Akiza, but Akiza would not hold back against the rest of them.
"I have a plan," said Kongming. "But you two need to distract her."
"What are we going to do?" asked Akira.
"W'ere going to fight her," Kongming said putting his hand on Serph's shoulder. "Then I will inject some of my Divine Energy into her Dantian."
"That would destroy her body though!" said Akira. "She cannot sense it, the presence of Divine Energy would break her apart."
"Only a chance," said Kongming. "If her body has Dark Energy, the Divine Energy can cleanse it and convert it."
"Serph, you must use me as your Spirit for this fight," said Akira.
"Why?" asked Serph.
"My power is the power of the Void," Akira explained. "If you apply my power into your sword, it will let you block or stop any attack that Akiza might throw at you by making your sword come into contact with it."
"Okay," said Serph. Serph put his hand on Akira and absorbed him into his Dantian. He then transferred the power to his sword.
BOOM. A loud soung rang out as Akiza stopped flying. She had released a sonic boom from the speed that she was traveling at. She was floating in the air. Her hair was blowing in the wind as she began to descended. Her flames had turned into a dark purple. It was the presence of the Dark Energy. There was a terrifying power coming from her. "I'm here for him," Akiza said with a distorted voice while pointing at Serph.

"I won't let you take him," said Kongming.
"Can you really stop me?" Akiza said. Her voice sounded different. It was as if there was a second more mature voice that overshadowed the first.
"I can't," said Serph. "But we can, and we must in order to save you."
Akiza dashed towards Kongming, but Kongming easily sidestepped it. The fight had begun. Akiza fought much more ferociously. Every punch and kick she threw was enhanced by purple flames. Kongming's clothes were even signed in some parts because of it. However, she could not land a single hit. This was the difference between an Immortal and someone at the Lord Stage.
"Get out of my way!" shouted Akiza in a distorted voice.
"I cannot do that," said Kongming. "I will stop you."
When their hands collided, the sound of thunder filled the skies.
Inside Akiza's Dantian, Akiza was trapped in the giant tree that was left in her Dantian.
"Stop this," said Akiza to the woman in purple.
"It is too late," said the woman in purple. "I must finish what I started."
"But you're not like this," said Akiza. "You're not a bad person."
"How do you know?" said the woman in purple. "I captured you and took over your body and removed Akira from your body. I could kill you right now!"
"But you don't want to kill me," said Akiza. "You keep saying you want to help me. It is okay if you want to help me, but please don't hurt them."
"Are you okay with letting people like that false Hero hurt you over and over again?" asked the woman.
"Akira might be hiding something, but he taught me how to survive and he helped me when he could," said Akiza. "I owe him for that. Even if he is lying, he is doing it to protect me."

"So you do know he is lying," said the woman.
"Yes, he told me that I could have beat him easy during our fight, but he was easily able to block my attacks, kill me, and did not get hurt from my strongest attack, I knew he was hiding something," Akiza added. "I think he has a reason for lying though, when people lie they do it for a good reason."
Outside, Serph watched as Akiza fought with an intense ferocity that he had never seen before. Every strike was meant to be a killing blow against Kongming. Akiza's strikes aimed for the heart and the head. If even a single blow landed, any normal person would be dead.
Akiza was focused on attacking Kongming. She was ignoring Serph. Every attack caused purple flames to rain from the sky. "Why isn't she going after me?" thought Serph. "She is supposed to be here for me."
"I don't know," said Akira. "I thought he would go after you first too."
Kongming was focusing Divine Energy in his hand, but he was waiting for something instead of striking Akiza in the Dantian in order to transfer the Divine Energy over.
"Why doesn't Grandmaster Kongming attack Akiza with Divine Energy to expel the Dark Energy?" asked Serph.
"I don't know," said Akira.
"Do you know who I am?" asked the woman to Akiza. "If you do, I will willingly give myself up."
"No," said Akiza. "I do not know who you are."
"You are me," said the woman in purple. "I am here to give you all the things you ever wanted. I want to eat all those monsters, because the tastiest thing here is power and you really want it don't you? I know you love Serph and will do everything you can to protect him from others who may want to harm him. I know that you want revenge against Haman for trapping you and Serph in here."
"But this is not how I want to do it," said Akiza. "There is a right way and a wrong way, this is the wrong way."
"Is that so?" said the woman.
"If I do it like this, Serph will hate me! Then this will ruin my relationship with him and stop me from ever reaching that goal!" Akiza shouted. "If I want him to love me, I want to do it right so that he does it by choice, not because I have a sword at his chest."
"Tsh, I accept this. I will give you a chance to win him over, but if you fail, I will do it myself," said the woman.
The woman walked up to Akiza and hugged Akiza in her arms. "Do not forget. I am you and you are me. I will do everything I can to protect you, even if it means I have to go against everything and everyone else in the world."
The woman turned into a purple flame and entered Akiza's Dantian. The empty wasteland of her Dantian returned to that of the library with the ring rooms. In the center of the library was now the tall tree surrounded by rocks. It was a clear image her of Home from the basin.
"She's a Demon?" Akiza thought to herself. "That warm feeling from when she hugged me was not scary, it felt more like mom than it did anything else."

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
