《The Phoenix Hero [DROPPED]》Chapter 049 - Wight

One day, Akiza and Cixi were wandering around in the Labyrinth, still killing the undead and looking for clues about the Demon Lord. That was when something strange began to happen.
The entire area suddenly rumbled. There was something very powerful nearby. The terrifying presence was drawing close. It was something that was at the peak of the Lord Stage. Akiza and Cixi looked in the direction that it was coming from and saw something terrifying. It was a blue man with wrinkled skin clad in armor. It had glowing blue eyes and pale skin. It carried a blue sword in its hand. It even emitted a cold air around it.
"This is a very powerful enemy!" said Cixi. "Stay back Akiza."
Akiza ran to hide behind some of the nearby rubble. She watched as Cixi confronted the blue man. The blue man swung his sword and the cold air blew in their direction.
Akiza watched as Cixi Armatized and spread her own Domain to counter the blue man's. The blue man's cold air suddenly disappeared as Cixi's pushed the cold air back with her own. The entire ground began to freeze from their confrontation.
Cixi swung her sword to the side of the blue man. CLING. The sword came in contact with the armor, but it was not strong enough to break it. The blue man ran forward at a high speed. Cixi was now on the defense.
Akiza watched as Cixi parried every blow. The blue man was swinging his sword quickly, but Cixi was faster. Cixi was waiting for an opening, but the blue man did not let up.
Akiza came out of hiding, "I'm coming to help Master!" she shouted.
"No! Stay back!" shouted Cixi.
Akiza sprayed blue fire in the direction of the blue man. She was still unable to give fire to her form and it was useless against the blue man. The blue man changed targets and dashed toward Akiza with its sword raised. Even though Akiza was attacking it with flames, it had no effect. As the blue man came closer, Akiza could see the size of the fire increase on the man, but with no real damage to him.

As the sword came down, all Akiza could see was the figure walking through her flames. BANG. Cixi tackled the blue man to the ground.
"Stay back," said Cixi. "I can handle this."
Akiza went back into hiding, she was useless in this fight. Akiza understood how powerless she was against an enemy that had strong Internal Energy and developed some skills.
The blue man held his sword with both hands now. It was aiming for a killing blow. Cixi waited. This was her chance for a counter attack. The blue man ran forward and swung the sword horizontally. Cixi placed the sword vertically to block to attack with both hands on the sword. CLING. The two swords crashed against each other.
Cixi was not done. She opened one of her hands on the sword and pushed the sword towards the blue man's head. That was when Cixi struck. BOOM. It was a powerful shockwave that she released and it blew the blue man's head clean off. It was much stronger than the one Akiza had used against the wolf yet it was the same technique. This was the difference in their power despite using the same technique.
But, the blue man was not done. The body continued to move without the head. It continued to attack, but swung wildly in every direction. Cixi removed her Armatization and changed her sword to wood. She then stabbed her sword into the ground. A wooden spear emerged from the ground and pierced the chest of the blue man. It dropped its sword and fell to the ground.
"Is it over?" asked Akiza.
"Wait for it," said Cixi.
The two watched and waited for the blue body to disappear. When it did, that was the sign that it was over. All that remained was its sword that it had dropped.

"It is safe now," said Cixi.
Akiza came out of hiding to look.
"That is?!?" said Cixi in a shocked voice. A complete weapon had materialized in Laybrinthos. It was more than just the normal body of bone of a creature. The blue man in armor had actually dropped its sword.
"What's that sword?" asked Akiza.
"That thing dropped it," said Cixi. "I'll need to find someone to take a closer look at it, but we should go back."
"Why?" asked Akiza. "We can still go on."
"We just fought an unexpected enemy that was strong and you could not fight," said Cixi. "Even if I can fight, it means it is at least too dangerous for YOU to continue, so we should go back."
"Okay Master," said Akiza.
The two headed back towards the entrance. On the way back though, they did not feel the presence of another creature like the blue man in armor. There were mostly only skeletons. Other people were spreading out from the entrance, killing the skeletons along the way.
"Remember, we're not safe until we make it through the Gate," said Cixi.
When the two finally made it through the Gate. Cixi started to relax.
