As Kyouko and Fina were preparing for their upcoming journey. They noticed that someone was observing them.

A shadow was watching them from the dark.

"Did you felt like someone's watching us Fina-chan"(Kyouko)

Suprised by kyouko's question she gave her reply.

"I'm sorry but I haven't felt anything like that."(Fina)

"Oh I see then it must be my imagination then. Anyway let's continue packing up for our journey."(Kyouko)

Kyouko didn't show doubt when Fina told her that she didn't felt anything. But Fina actually knew who was observing them.

Anf she quickly prepared to meet that person.

"What are you doing Rose-san? Why are you watching us?"(Fina)

"What did you mean by watching the two of you? Did you mean by your plan on abandoning the people of this country."(Rose)

Her eyes were filled with determination on stopping anyone who stands on the way of Kyouko's wish. She quickly drew her sword and said.

"I wouldn't back down just because your the one who taught me swordsmanship."(Fina)

Rose glares at Fina. But it didn't have any effect on her. Her determination to help Kyouko is stronger than Rose's will to stop them.

I must come up with a way to defeat Rose-san. She's stronger than me but that's not a reason for me to back down on the fight.

"Are you ready Fina-chan?"(Rose)

Rose changed her stance and prepared for battle. Fina quickly leaped towards Rose and she then delivered her strike. But it was futile.

Clang!...

Rose used her scabbard to block Fina's attack then she leaps back. But Fina decided to continue her assualt and prepared to execute another attack. Rose quickly placed her hands on her katana and once she's got a hold of it she quickly executed an extremely fast strike which countered Fina's powerful blow.

"Gaah"(Fina)

Small drops of blood made their way from Fina's left shoulder. She was suprised on how Rose attacked. But she was more curious about her sword-style so she asked her.

"What's with that sword-style? I know it's not Chujo ryu so what is it? Can you please tell me?"(Fina)

"It was Iaijutsu it's a fast sword draw attack style. Though it doesn't have much power it's speed makes up for the lack of power."(Rose)

Can I really beat her? I didn't see her attack and I can't predict it's timing so how will I match her speed? But I have no other choice but to try. I'll put everything on the line in an all-out attack. But will it work? I guess I can only try now.

Rose returned her katana back to it's scabbard and took distance from Fina. Once again she prepared to use Iaijutsu against Fina. Fina dashed towards Rose and prepared for her attack. The moment Rose attacked Fina leaped in the air and prepared to counter attack. But Rose parried her attack by kicking the sword. Then quickly countered with another kick and leaped back on a safe distance.

"Aaah! How did she predict my attack?"(Fina)

"It was simple to predict because you rely too much on close quarters combat. So if someone fight's you in a long range or mid range battle then your only option on attacking is by getting closer to your target. But unlike me who mastered swordsmanship and magecraft. You need to learn magic or else you can't beat me Fina-chan"(Rose)

Rose started to run around Fina. So Fina sharpened her senses and prepared to counter her attack. But her it was futile when Rose suddenly leaped towards her. The moment she thrusted her sword towards Rose she knew that she's already defeated. Her attack missed and Rose made a swift counter attack.

What was that? She moved so fast that my eyes can't keep up with her movements. If she can move this fast then how will I beat her? I guess this is the end.

"Don't give up"(??????)

Fina suddenly heard a mysterious voice inside her head. The voice told her to never give up.

But how will I keep on fighting? Is there even a chance for me to win against her?

Fina suddenly saw an images of a technique.

What's this form of kenjutsu? Battoujutsu? Wait how did I know what's it called? I have no other choice but to use this technique.(Battoujutsu is an old tern for Iaijutsu.)

Fina crouched and prepared to placed her hand on her sword. Rose was suprised on Fina's stance and said.

"Oh so you're using Iaijutsu too. I'm impressed that you can replicate my move with just one glance. It's time to take this seriously."(Rose)

Rose leaped towards Fina with Godlike speed. Fina's eyes didn't see Rose move so she prepared to counter attack instead. Instantly Rose delivered a swift blow.

Clang!....

But it was intercepted when Fina quickly attacked with her sword with insane speed.

"It looks like you've performed Iaijutsu perfectly. But do you think that you can win with just your battoujutsu and Kenjutsu then I'll show you that you're wrong/"(Rose)

Once again Rose dashed towards Fina with godlike speed. Fina prepared to counter attack. But it she failed. The moment Fina released her blow Rose quickly parried her sword then she proceeded on disarming her.

Clang!... Clang!...

Her sword fell on the ground along with Rose's katana and then she kicked both of the weapons away. And prepared to execute her next attack.

Rose quickly managed to punch Fina.

"Aaah! What?..... Isn't this a swordfight? Why are you using using Bujutsu?"(Fina)(Bujutsu is the martial arts in japanese.)

"Did I tell you that i'll be fighting using only my katana? When you face an enemy you need to be prepared on whatever situation you face. You can't rely on your sword all the time Fina-chan"(Rose)

Fina tried to punch Rose but it was easily dodged by Rose and then she counter attacj by kicking her right leg.

"Aaaaaaaaaa"(Fina)

Fina was sent flying by the power of Rose's kick. Then she heard blood dripping from Fina's right leg and left shoulder. But Fina continued to stand and said.

"I will win this fight. I will not let anyone get in my way. Even if I have to fight you I will so please stand aside Rose-san."(Fina)

Rose was suprised by Fina's determination so she leaped back and picked up her katana and Fina's sword and said.

"Fine i'll let you leave. I can't stop you even if I tried and if we continued this any further your life will be in-danger and how will I explain this to Kyouko-sama? Let's treat your wounds first Fina-chan"(Rose)

As Fina tries to stand Rose stopped her and said.

"I'll carry you to your room for now Fina-chan you're injuries aren't major. But they still need to be treated to prevent infection."(Rose)

Then Fina picked up a card that Rose drop and said.

"What is this? Is this your adventurer's guild card Rose-san?"(Fina)

"Ah yes it is do you want to look at it?"(Rose)

"Yes please can I?"(Fina)

"Go ahead"(Rose)

Fina looked at the card so that she can measure the difference between their powers. But she was suprised on what she just saw.

Technique: Tsubame gashi : An extremely fast cutting technique that can strike down a bird in mid flight. It is performed by striking the blade downwards then quickly striking upwards with an insane amount of speed.

"What? your stats are only a bit higher than mine? But you're not great with magic Rose-san? But your a master of close combat huh? You can use any weapon well and you're also excellent in hand to hand combat huh?"(FIna)

"Well I'm not talented like you Fina-chan most of my power came from hardwork and training. But it looks like i've reached the limits on how strong I can become. I can't feel any improvement even if I trained for hours. So I decided to stop and focused only on practicing magic."(Rose)

Rose let's out a deep sigh and carried Fina to her room. On the way she meet Kyouko who just finished preparing for her journey.

"Hello Kyouko-sama. So are your preparations done?"(Rose)

"Huh? Were you the one observing us earlier?"(Kyouko)

"Umu Kyouko-sama. And I can tell that this journey will be a long one fufufufu."(Rose)

Kyouko was about to say goodbye when she saw Fina who was injured so she asked Rose.

"What happened to Fina? Can you please explain yourself Rose-san?"(Kyouko)

"I just gave her a little test before allowing her to come along with you. And she also told me the reason of this journey. So we need the pieces of your katana in order to kill the demon king huh? It's no wonder that he wouldn't die no matter how I attacked him when we fought each other."(Rose)

"But you went too far Rose-san"(Kyouko)

So the two of them carried Fina back to her room and when she woke up Rose was watching over her and said.

"I think that it's time for you to wield this katana. It's name is Harekaze and it possess a unique trait unlike other swords. It the edge of the blade creates energy that's comparable to sunlight. It also has enough power to burn the target. This weapon is very effective against vampires and this katana was passed from generation to generation of my family. But i'll give it to you instead."(Rose)

Should I accept her offer? Yes this weapon can help me on our journey but if I take this then how will Rose tell her family about the katana. Maybe I should decline her offer.

"You have no right to refuse. You will need this on the coming journey. The demon king's army is consist of three races. Demons, Orcs and Vampires. This weapon will help you defeat vampire who are weak against sunlight."(Rose)

"Fine i'll accept your offer thank you Rose-san"(Fina)

"Go train some Bujutsu Fina-chan. By the time you return you should master bujutsu or else."(Rose)

"..........."(Fina)

"O,okay thank you Rose-san"(Fina)

And the moments later Kyouko arrived later to inform Fina that they will leave on the next day.
