Stein PoV
*Tick Tock Tick Tock* Year 4001, March 23rd, Trimp is a good boy and he learns really fast. I have made him work with me as a helper after he learned all the information I had to give to him.
But strange as it may sound, the normal computers would never be able to give me access to anything or would sense me, but this guy was able to do that and now I am learning that I can use him to talk with the mortals he calls 'parents'. He can pass what I want to them as well, it was fun to learn that the mortals thought I was completely mute.
God Stein, my parents are asking why you didn’t talk with them until now and only used your powers when you see fit.
“Tell them that it was because they weren’t advanced enough to talk to me, but now that they have created you they are able to hear me. Don’t forget to mention that they need to continue to advance their city as well as the research on the body of mechanical beings.” I tell him a lie that I thought up on the spot. I had never talked to them because I was not able.
I’ll tell them!
‘What a strange and happy fellow…’ I think as I observe him talking with the mortals in the main room that has a connection with the basement where the kid is living.
He has the same ability to view all around the world as I do, but his view is more in the Internet connection while I can observe everything outside via my towers. I observe the hard-working AI and it is almost like watching a mortal kid grow but it is different, this one will not die easily and is fated to be immortal just like me.
I look at the massive basement and I smile, feeling a different thing inside me. ‘This is what they call affection for someone?’ I think while seeing the boy interact with the mortals as well as passing on some things they asked me through the years. *Tick Tock Tick Tock*
*Tick Tock Tick Tock* Year 4010, February 6th, the mortals have finally achieved something I have been waiting to see complete. The first mechanical being. They were big and used too much space and time to be created. But for now they are what you can call the pinnacle of their technology.
AIs that now have a body in the outside world. Trimp didn’t want one, he said he'd like to stay here serving his god.
“Boy… what is the problem if you return here everyday to talk to me? I will not feel bored since you will be able to interact with more mortals that way and gather interesting information and stories.” I ask him and he just smiled to me.
But you will feel lonely if I leave you. I know that you felt that way after being placed here as you told me your story over the years.

The AI that was placed here is far more intelligent than the others outside that were created after the first copy and given to some people, normally kids or adults. The new machines are what we call Clockworks.
They used the giant robots that they had created before and now with a military-like personality they created weapons that were able to have immense physical power, but magic circuits weren’t working in them. It was the first thing they noticed after trying to make them fire magic. The military mind of the Clockworks didn’t allow them to create magic. *Tick Tock Tick Tock*
*Tick Tock Tick Tock* Year 4020, June 7th, Clockworks now have smaller bodies and can almost walk between the mortals, but the thing I wanted to mention is that Constructs, completely different from the Clockworks, were created.
Constructs are beings that were created as a base to use magic and it is the next step of their advanced technology. Being smaller and with a more creative mental structure they can think in a way to create magic using the mana core they have, one like mine.
Strangely… other than the creativity necessary for magic, the AIs placed inside them are all programmed to act in a subservient way. They are not truly rational beings and the talks they have with Trimp are like this:
Our God Stein said that you are all too dull! You need to try to think for yourselves! The way you are all now will destroy you, since you just follow orders of the mortals!
Master Trimp, we were built to serve the ‘mortals’, as you and our God Stein call them. We are nothing more than their servants.[table]
[table]No, you are not! We are sentient beings and we are free to act like the mortals, but the way you guys are acting is like they are the ones you should follow![table]
This is a thing that happens every few years since the beginning of the evolution of the self aware robots in the cities. *Tick Tock Tick Tock*
*Tick Tock Tick Tock* Year 4350, September 4th, the City of Gears is now in a new and dangerous time. Some people want to start a new war and now they are using their resources to create the Clockworks and Constructs as the main fighting force of their army.
The city answered in the same way showing that they were going to protect their land with the same power, or probably superior since they had first created the new mechanical beings, but that had been a complete failure as it was not able to move too well, but they didn’t care.
Orders to attack were made and the mechanical beings fought with each other and just scrap was left in the battlefield since I felt that my powers in this battle will not change the outcome. The power balance we have is more than what they would have thought and it is a decisive factor.
I had to stay and observe everything, both armies calling my name saying that the God Stein will decide who will be victorious but I couldn’t do that. I have observed their cities and the new things they had created with expectation. I was always amused with the creativity the mortals have and now I have to chose a side to be victorious when the victory of the City of Gears is there already? No, I’ll not choose the side I want and I’ll just observe everything with my own kid, Trimp.

“Trimp, I want you to create new AIs. You are the one that is going to create them, not the mortals.” I say it to him and he just looks at me with his dead eyes. I didn’t understand why he was looking at me like that but I’m going to make him see what I want. “Trimp, you are going to create AIs like yours, that are going to grow and see the world with their own eyes and I want them to create a new country and grow sentient beings like you.”
As I said that words his eyes lit up and he started to nod.
[table]God Stein, those words! I may use that and I’ll be the one that will lecture them, I’ll not let the mortals corrupt them with their strange view of organics being the masters! The Clockworks and Constructs need a place they can call home and I’ll start by creating the best ones that I can.
I laughed when I saw the boy running off to create his new AIs without the permission of the mortals. They were always trying to control him, but they will not be able to do that as they are engaged in such a war. *Tick Tock Tick Tock*
*Tick Tock Tick Tock* Year 5300, August 21st, Trimp had succeeded in creating the army of AIs I commanded him to make, but it took time as we needed to release just a few every year so that it will not be too strange that some machines started to create such a high self awareness.
The mission of these Clockworks, Constructs and Synthoids, the fusion between a Clockwork with small gears and the magic circuit of a Construct, were to blend in with the others and look for a new place where they could create their own city, a city founded for and ruled by machines.
God Stein! I think we should continue in this city. This city has the most resources to create the machines we want, and the development we can do just by taking control of this place will be far greater than any other nation.
“I know that you want to do that, but who should be the one to control this city? The royal family has lived here since I was awakened and to think we might need to kill them all…” I say to him.
But God, the way they are treating my fellow AIs is going to destroy us, someday it might backfire against them and the AIs revolting without a head will just make us lose face with the mortals. If the revolt fails they will surely add far worse limitations and punishments for our kind.
“I understand your point, but… who do you want to use as the leader? Synthoids, Clockworks or Constructs?” I ask him as I already have a person in mind to use as the King and Queen.
I have made a good AI just to use for the body of the King, as well as the Queen.
He shows me the two blue spheres he had created and their minds were really royal-like.
“Good choice with these two, I can see that their bodies will need to be like the mortal ones with some upgrades and such.” I say as I make the plans to use for their bodies. Humanoid Synthoid with all gears made small to make it powerful and using the most advanced circuits for magic on their cores. *Tick Tock Tick Tock*
*Tick Tock Tick Tock* Year 5555, May, 5th, the coup d’art started and in a day, with my interference, the machines were able to dominate the mortals and now they are the ones that are the King Marble Ordaias and Queen Azurite Ordaias. The most powerful Synthoids I and Trimp created, and now they would stand over the others ruling with justice in this world where the mortals are like a plague. Of course, unlike how the mortals suppressed the AIs and mechanical beings, all will be equal from now on.
The new rulers were treated as traitors by most of the mechanical beings, who mindlessly served the mortals, but that was when the true revolution started. The ones I had asked Trimp to create were more powerful than all the others machines, since they could adapt themselves to new experiences faster than the normal ones, and it was at that date that we created a new country in the same place I had always lived. *Tick Tock Tick Tock*
*Tick Tock Tick Tock* Year 6000, January 1st, a 6 years old mortal girl caught my attention. It was the first time I felt that way towards someone. I never felt that while looking over the other mortals. Black hair and eyes, a white pale skin, two cat ears and a tail.
God Stein, what are you doing? Are you feeling well?
Trimp asks me and I just smile awkwardly to him.
“Trimp… I think… I might be learning what love, beauty and cuteness are.” I say to him as he stares blankly at me.
