《Transient Fire Works》Prologue to chapter 7: Have you decided yet?

The image of this dream is different. If the scenery the past dreams I had were calm and peaceful, this dream would be chaotic and demonic.
Skies filled with thick black clouds and not a shard of light came through from the heavens. The only light was the sea of fire right below my feet. In front of me stood a man encircled by many enemies. The number of people who surrounded him easily exceeds hundreds of thousands as they cover the horizon. Each person holding a weapon and stabbing the man multiple times before he finally collapse. All of the people who stood before him had a reason to stab him. Greed, fear, hate, pride, wrath, envy, and vengeance. What ever it may be, it was related to one of these reasons.
"Ha ha... AHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHA!" mad laughters erupted from every person in the vicinity. "Finally this spineless coward met his end." one of the person spoke out.
Some wanted what he had on him. Others wanted things they didn't have to take away from him. But regardless of the materialistic objects or ethereal possessions they wanted from him, they knew that they might not even get what they wanted. It was due to the many competitors here. But it didn't matter.
It was because in the next second, the collapsed man oozes out seven dark liquids and each had a different color. Each were distinct but pure and strong. The moment the liquids came out, every single person were paralyzed in fear. Fear of the liquids itself, fear of what might come next.
"How can you call someone spineless if that person lived his life with all his heart to protect what he deems precious?
How can you ridicule someone a coward if that person has the strength and resolve to fight?

I may not be able to fight honorably like those warriors.
I might not have god like strength like those heroes.
But what I have far exceeds and shall excel farther than what anyone would ever have.
But all I wish for was one thing and yet those heavenly bastards couldn't grant me it!
I am here as the opposer of my own fate and I am the living proof of the ones who were unfairly judged by the heavens!
I will and shall bring those partial bastards down and all those who supports them!" The man's voice resounded within the darkness and silenced the madness.
The man who just collapsed a few seconds ago rose up like a zombie. Those people that stabbed him were afraid to look into his eyes because those eyes carried the flames of an avenger. With each breath the man took, it sounded as if hurricanes would be summoned by a mere breath. Light violently flashed within his eyes.
*GULP* The people around him regretted their recent actions. The moment the man got up, was the moment they had a premonition of their death. Before anyone of them could move, the man inhales a deep cold breath. The temperature instantly dropped and all life seemed to stop moving. The black liquids already spread out thinly covering the land in a dark blanket. The thinly spread liquid suddenly transformed into a vortex and began to suck out the remaining life forces of the dead and their bodies became living ice blocks. But it did not move the bodies.
The man sighed at the sight. Once more, with just a breath, he just killed so many people without even having the intentions. In truth, he was breathing to absorb the energy around him to re-condition and heal his body. But since his wounds were too severe and he needed a lot of energy that he accidentally absorbs all the life forces around him.

All he desire was something simple. He didn't want to fight, he didn't want to survive, nor did he even want to breathe. The lives he took were meaningless to him. He took them not because he wanted to, but because he had to. He looks up at the dark skies and with a wave of his left hand, the skies clears up like a miracle of the heavens that just descended upon the land. But there were no miracle on the land. Just many cold dead bodies unable to live again.
The man looked at each person he killed in tears. Nevertheless, he made their graves with his own hands. He dug each grave and paid his respects towards the dead. He bows one hundred and eight times to each grave and prayed for their rebirth to be something more meaningful and full than what they had in this life.
After the man prayed to each and every grave, and I do mean to the very last grave, he turns towards my direction. His face may slightly differs from mines but we look almost the same. "Have you decided yet?" his words contained hints of bitterness and sadness but they were directed at me. His right hands flickers and the world turns dark again ending the dream.
When I woke up, I felt like I was in a deep nightmare and broke out in cold sweats. I look down at my body to see that it was oozing blood out of my pores. "!!! What in the name of the world just happened to me?" I was scared. Why was I bleeding profusely? It didn't make any sense! I quickly ran to the bathroom to wash off the blood but then discover that when I wiped away the blood, there were remaining stains on my body that looked like cuts and holes made by the same weapons that pierced the man!
"What is it that I have to decide mysterious man?" I mutter in pain as I look at myself in the mirror. I saw that I was only average, the face I had is something I always believed was normal, and the muscles on my body were flimsy. The only difference now is that I was covered in a lot of blood stains that looked like I just went to hell and came back. Only after half an hour did they disappear. By then the time was only two in the morning. I still felt tired so I went back to sleep.

Is It Too Late To Move My Lair?
A legendary dragon... It has been told in the stories for hundreds of years. Some say it keeps a mountain of treasure in its cave, some say it is a vicious beast, some say it protects the village nearby, some claim it can grant their wishes, and some just think it's nothing more than a fairytale. He is not. The dragon is very real, although he isn't bothered by what people think of him in the slightest. He also doesn't have a grand treasure, nor does he grant wishes, like a magical genie. He is not interested in eating humans either. And as for protecting them… well. This is the story of the time before the legends, how they came to life and a dragon in the quest of his snooze. In a nutshell, this is a simple, light-hearted story with a dragon in it. What I have in mind is a relatively short one compared to most of the works on this site, but we'll see where it goes. This is my first attempt at writing something like this, so please be patient and kind in pointing out mistakes. As for the posting schedule... let's say it will be sporadic. Hope you enjoy reading, as much as I do while writing it… THE STORY IS NOT DROPPED, JUST SLOW ON THE UPDATES. Cover art by Nane, aka me. (Cross-posted on Scribble Hub.)
