When Rosa came into her father’s company in the afternoon, she was nervous to tell them the good and bad news. The good news was that Jin got twelve premium contracts signed in one envelope. The bad news was that he left and that he was not her fiancé.

Rosa grimaced just thinking about her father’s reactions. ‘Would he laugh or cry?’ She still had to muster up the courage to meet him face to face because her father was usually scary during work. He goes full commando mode when it came to work.

In front of her father’s room, she hears three voices talking to each other. ‘Huh? There are three people talking?’ Rosa thought. She could recognize two of the voices. One was her uncle, the other was her father. But the third voice was unknown.

“You’ve found a successor!? Octavious Silva! (can also be spelled: Octavius. But kept the old name format for reader's sake.) That’s great!” Rosa’s father exclaimed.

“Ah… Well… he really can’t be called a successor. Just someone I have my eyes on for my daughter.” The man named Octavious said back.

“At least the man you have eyes on seems unique” Rosa’s uncle grumbled. “The guy yesterday I met was a prick! He dares to bring back only one thin single envelope!!!”

“Ha ha… He sounds interesting as well. From what you’d described, he is just plain funny.” Octavious laughed.

“… Not funny. Both Rosa and I nearly had a heart attack when we saw the envelope” the uncle shifted his eyes away.

“Did you see what was in the envelope?” Octavious pointed out.

“Why should I? The sh*t was thin and looked almost empty!” the uncle was mad just remembering the envelope.

*Knock*Knock*Knock*

“Uncle Joe? Dad? May I come in?” Rosa spoke from the other side of the door.

“Mmm Come in Rosy” Her father sweetly said.

‘Oh good… he didn’t go commando yet.’ Rosa inwardly made a weak face. She came in the room with the envelope in hand.

“What is bothering you Rosy?” her father made a clown face as he ran to her daughter to hug her.

Rosa winced because her father was making such a face for an adult his age. “Wait dad! Don’t hug me yet!”

“Huh? Why Rosy?” Her father was still acting like a doting father.

“I have the envelope you guys are talking about.” Rosa said and hands him the envelope. “I think you’ll like what is inside” She smiled.

“Hm? If you say so Rosy” Her father nodded and opens the envelope.

“*Snort!* Why open it? Just only one signature…” Her uncle still looking sour. “Too bad the other candidates backed out and the fiancé was useless”

“It is not one signature Uncle Joe! Jin brought these with hard work! He is not useless!” Rosa shouted at her uncle.

“What!? Are you talking back to me!?” Her uncle growled. “Come over here so I can show you how to respect your elder!”

“Now now brother Joe. I know she has her reasons” Her father calmly said as he pulls out the contents. His eyes sparkled when he saw the contents and his mouth drooled. “P-pre-premium contracts?”

“Mmmhmm Not just one dad. Twelve! Twelve contracts. Twelve signatures.” Rosa nodded.

“Ha ha! These are the twelve contracts were were trying so hard to get! Forget normal contracts! These babies are premiums!” Rosa’s father shouted with glee.

The uncle face twitched. He could not believe what he’d just heard. “Did you just say twelve Cid?”

“Heh. If you don’t believe me, here!” Rosa’s father, Cid, handed over the entire envelope inside to his brother.

When Uncle Joe saw what was inside, even he felt some form of happiness. “Lies…How did you get these Rosa?”

“I told you before Uncle Joe. It wasn’t just one signature.” Rosa smirked.

“You can’t be serious! I… We!!!!” the uncle was left speechless.

Rosa crossed her arms and gave a haughty look. “Heh heh… I don’t know what Jin did. But from the sound of it, he didn’t need the money at first so he donated all of it into buying food and giving them to the homeless in the homeless shelters. But these contracts are real. I’ve contacted them all already and verified them”

“!!!” Her uncle didn’t want to believe it. He turned the monitors back on and looked through the recordings. He fast forwarded many of the recordings only to find that Jin disappeared from all the cameras after five o clock pm yesterday. There was not one sign of him. It was as if he was a ghost!

Rosa’s father, Rosa and Octavious smiled. They all can see Rosa’s uncle’s thoughts. Even they were surprised to see that there was not one sign of the man named Jin after five o clock.

“Heh… Well well well. Seems like your child’s boyfriend is pretty damn unique as well.” Octavious laughed. But the more the uncle replayed the videos, the more Octavious laughed. But that laughter soon turned into shock because he finally recognized Jin’s face. His eyes widened and he became slack-jawed. ‘Isn’t that the same man who’d helped me yesterday!? Why is he in the recordings!?’

*BANG* Rosa’s uncle slammed the table. “Rosa” he growled.

“Y-yes uncle Joe?” she weakly said.

“I… won’t approve. But based on his achievements… I will consider him your future… soul mate…” The uncle could not say things straightforwardly and gave a slightly curved answer.

“Ha ha ha ha! Looks like even your Uncle Joe gave in Rosa!” Rosa’s father laughed loudly. “Hell, I would approve of him right away! Where can I meet this man!?”

Rosa flinched. She didn’t know what to say. Rosa bit her bottom lip because she didn’t want to tell them that he left mysteriously after the sudden blizzard last night.

Her father, Cid Diaz, knows a lot about his daughter. When she bites her bottom lips, it usually means trouble. “Rosa. What’s wrong…” He eyed his daughter in a threatening way.

Sweat rolled down her neck because she didn’t want to tell the truth. She shifted her head away.

“ROSA!” her father roared. “WHAT IS IT!” His anger suddenly flared upward.

“Uh… Nothing dad.” She lied.

“I KNOW THAT LOOK! THAT IS THE LOOK OF SOMEHTING GOING TERRIBLY WRONG! IT USUALLY DOESN’T END WELL!” Rosa’s father eyes contracted and began to change into a crimson color of anger.

“Jin… No.. Rather, the name he told you guys was Houyi right? He… is not my fiancé…” She answered back weakly.

“WHAT!?” Rosa’s father looked like he lost his top.

“It’s all uncle Joe’s fault!” Rosa quickly shifts the blame to her uncle. “He did not approve so Jin left!” and she ran out the door crying crocodile tears.

“!!!! Rosa! What are you saying! Wait!!!!” Her uncle tried to chase after Rosa. But she ran too fast and was already in the elevator with closed doors. Rosa’s uncle could feel the heat growing behind his back. “Wait older brother. It was a mistake! It was a mistake!!!”

Rosa’s father face fluctuated from anger to despair to tears and then back to anger. “JOE!!!!!!!! DIAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” His voiced resounded like a loud speaker. Screams could be heard from the top floor.

Octavious just booked the moment he saw Rosa’s father angry. He didn’t even want to see what would happen to Rosa’s uncle. It was because he felt the pain himself before and his body involuntarily spasmed when he remembered it. ‘Hmm. Seems like that Houyi guy left his daughter… Looks like my daughter has a chance at him now. ^.^ Sorry Cid. Imma help my daughter get a good boyfriend today!’ he thought and rushed back to his company. He wanted to find Jin and quick before Jin turns back around to being Rosa’s fiancé.

Rosa, who was out of the company and in her car felt bad for lying. It was because she lied to her father and got her uncle in trouble. But she would make things worse if she’d told that Jin faked being her fiancé. If she did tell her father that, she was scared of the consequences. So she didn’t feel all that bad about her uncle receiving it for her.

“So, how is Meracle? She doing well?” a voice said from behind Rosa’s seat.

“Kya!!!” Rosa was scared half to death when she heard the voice. “Jin! Where were you?”

“Meh… Sleeping in your car for a while because I was tired. *Yawwwn* Ngh* Tired from business. Needed to sleep somewhere. Hoped you didn’t mind” He said with sleepy eyes.

Rosa turned around to see that he was still in a daze. “!!! Jin! How did you even get in my car!? Never mind that! Do you know how much trouble you’ve caused!?”

“Funny. You sound just like my mother…” Jin was still sleepy and tired.

“Why don’t you go back? Meracle is probably worried about you!” Rosa said.

“Can’t do that Rosa.” Jin, still having his eyes closed and used the front seat as a head rest.

Rosa pulls the seat upward making Jin’s head slide off the seat and dropping to the car’s floor.

“Why? Why can’t you do that Jin!?”

“Meracle don’t know what she wants. She is still confused by lingering feelings. So when she say something like, ‘Just disappear’ I might just grant it someday because of her confused state.

Heavens might just grant that someday actually. Remember, I don’t have much time to live as I’ve told you before Rosa. I only got a total of three years which means I can only live for two years and some hundred days left now.” He reminded Rosa. “So I need to make the most of everyday that I live.”

‘!!! … That’s right. I forgot…’ Hearing this, Rosa now understood why Jin did what he did. “So you wanted Meracle to only be decisively focused on you.”

“*YAWWWWWWWWWWN* Well. Not decisively, but I at least need to make her take the first step. The first step is always the hardest. I can chase her all I want. “Wait! Decide what! Where are you going now!?” Rosa shouted to him.

“Oh right. Decide if she is still going to kick me out. By the way, I am going out on a business trip. I do have a job now after all. No longer broke you know.” Jin smirked. “Oh. Forgot to tell you. Mission complete. All your candidates are no longer in the prearranged marriages.

Including me. One candidate broke all the bones in his bodies, one has many wives and one is no longer a lesbian.” and left.

“… What?” Rosa didn’t even know what to say. ‘… Don’t tell me that he. Never mind. I’ll go tell Meracle what he wants. Let’s see how she will respond.’ Rosa quickly drove off to tell Jin’s message to Meracle.

Meracle’s house 6:00 pm

Rosa arrived at Meracle’s house a little late due to traffic along the way.

She knocks on the door multiple times but not a response was heard. So she lets herself in using a spare key that Meracle gave her.

“Meracle?” Rosa continues to call but. Still no response. ‘That’s weird. Is she still at work? … I’ll just stay here for a while then.’

Rosa walked right into the living room where Jin used to sleep only to find Meracle drunk and sleeping on the very bed.

The corner of Rosa’s mouth curved upward. ‘That bad? Damn girl. You only knew him for a few days Meracle… Well… I guess I did as well…’

“Meracle?” Rosa tapped her shoulders but only gave a slight gesture to push Rosa away. “… Meracle. Meracle! MERACLE!!!!!”

Only when Rosa shouted did Meracle wake up. “Huh? What is it Rosa?’

“I’m here to pass on a message from Jin.” Rosa smiled.

“Huh!? What! What message!? Tell me!” Meracle looked like a crazy person for a moment.

Meracle’s eyes were completely red and swollen.

Rosa was scared stiff to even tell the message because Meracle looked crazy. “Ah ha… Calm down Meracle. He only left less than a day ago.”

“Oh. Right. Sorry about that Rosa. Didn’t mean to scare you” Meracle apologizes. “What message did he tell you to give me?”

“He asked me to tell you that you have till morning to decide whether or not if you are still going to kick him out.” Rosa tried to ease the tense atmosphere with a soft smile.

“… That idiot. He knows I didn’t mean it. Yet he is still trying to piss me off with that sad act. *Humph!*” Meracle snorted.

“Meracle. You’ve only met the guy for the past few days. Yet he has already some things for you. Also, he has done some things ahead of time for you. If he is acting, he must be doing it for a good reason right? I mean, he has been a little distant no matter how you look at things.” Rosa hinted at the fact that Meracle still does not know much about him.

“Nghh… I know…” Meracle agreed as well.

“Maybe what Jin is doing is asking you to no longer see things as master and servant status. I mean, it is there in the contract and you keep on wrongly shouting violent things to him in which you are taking it out on the wrong person. So, if one day, you do kick him out in anger, he does not want it to be by a mistake that you would regret.” Rosa pointed out. “Also, he was having a little fun Meracle. You didn’t need to over react. Heh… Jin is still a kid at heart you know.”

A shade of shame and embarrassment ran across Meracle’s face. “… I guess I’ve been… wrong by taking out my anger on him… Even when I was the slightest embarrassed…I know that Jin acts more like a house husband than a freeloader. I know that he often plays around. But… he just does it too much. I just don’t like it…”

“Hmm… Have you ever asked the reason why he plays around too much? Maybe he is trying to get to know you better by being intimate.” Rosa added. She really was trying to push Meracle into Jin’s direction. “Wasn’t he usually the lonely kid in middle school as well Meracle? Maybe this is his way of trying to reconnect with society and since you are the closest person, he is showing that by acting intimate and trusting.”

“… Rosa. You’re making me feel bad now.” Meracle said.

“Sorry. Didn’t mean to do that. ^.^ But at least things are clearer now that his intentions are a little bit clearer right? He seems to be a person that takes care of problems in mysterious ways. Be it early or late. He gets the problem done so there won’t be future… troubles.” Rosa said.

“What does that mean?” Meracle had to ask.

“… Sad to say, Jin took care of my problem in a unique way. Not only he got premium contracts, from what he told me a few hours ago, that he handled my suitors problem efficiently.” Rosa rubbed the side of her head because she found out what Jin meant later on.

Rosa then explains it to Meracle. The handsome first candidate was… crippled and in the hospital with all his teeth broken and face dis-configured. Not that he was a bad person but he only had eyes on the company. The boy candidate turned out to be a lady killer and a horrible one at that and was later on revealed to her father. But not only that, the female candidate said that the man who she fell in love with helped her find others to love as well within the day. “Oh trust me Meracle. If there is a person I approve of as of now, it is him. If he can get my father’s approval, then he has mine” She confidently said.

“But I…” Meracle continues to mutter.

“Are you still caught up with that Jason guy? Why is he so special to you?” Rosa frowned.

“… He was my first…” Meracle meekly said.

“WHAT!?” Rosa couldn’t believe it. “Your first boyfriend or…”

“My first time…” Meracle still said in a small voice.

“The entire time you two were talking…” Mirana couldn’t help but to face palm herself again. In fact, Mirana and Gisela was waiting at the entrance the entire time the two were talking. It was too interesting to not eavesdrop on the two. But Gisela had to ruin the moment.

“!!!” This was an eye-opener to Meracle. Why? Because Mirana just openly challenged her to fight over Jin! “… He’s mine…” She said in a low voice.

‘There we go ^. ^; had to do all that just to get her to say those words… Yeesh….. You really need a good push every now and then Meracle. Ever since that Jason guy got you down, you’ve been unstable. Now, I don’t think you are unstable anymore. But… I think a good competitor will get you more stable.’ Mirana wickedly thought inside. Rosa and Gisela could see what Mirana was thinking and also nodded in agreement. Mirana was pushing Meracle to Jin’s side with that last challenge.

“You girls are forgetting someone?” Rosa slyly said.

“Huh? What are we forgetting?” Mirana asked.

“I’m in that competition as well” An evil smirk appeared on Rosa’s face.

“Hey wait! What about me!?” Gisela jumped in.

Rosa: “… You got Akira!”

Mirana: “You got Kyle as well!”

Rosa & Mirana: “You’ll be fine. Two for the price of one right?”

“….” Gisela felt like she was being left out and wanted to cry. “Waaaa… That’s cold girls. Even if we are friends…”

Rosa&Mirana: “All is fair in love and war!” They both declared.

“… I thought we were helping Meracle out! Not steal her potential boyfriend!” Gisela cried out.

Even Meracle felt betrayed. “Well, we would need to hear Meracle’s answer first. She still has to answer to Jin anyhow” Gisela said with pouted lips.

“Yep. That being said… We’ll all sleep here tonight!” Mirana loudly declares and the three other girls rushed up to Meracle’s room as if nothing had happened.

“… He was mine wasn’t he? …” Meracle muttered in the living room. “But now… I guess I have to chase him…” a bitter feeling welled up inside Meracle.

Now that there was two other people competing for one person, she felt like she would lose something if she would let him go now. ‘… I think I know how to answer him now…’

Lucian watched the entire thing and laughed inwardly. 'Seems like I didn't need to do a thing... Ha ha!'
