《A Technomaniac in Another World (Prototype)》Chapter 52 - Nothing's Unbreakable

Activating his Agility Mode, Kenji made his way towards the place where the girls had failed to enter, or more specifically, Suzuki failed to enter. At the entrance, Kenji saw that the security there was heavier than when the girls reported back to him.
Oh, so Sirius actually was speaking the truth! Lots of people. Shame that no one is strong enough. Heh.
“Whatever! Let’s get this over with!”
Kenji wasn’t really worried about the people that would get in his way. He was more worried about finishing the gates as fast as possible, and going to battle against Victor himself. His thought process, was to finish things as fast as possible, and head out to kill Victor.
Smiling behind his mask, he walked forward, alerting the Onis that were guarding the entrance, of his presence!
“Hey! Is that the guy?”
“Pretty much!”
“So we can finish this as fast as possible, right?”
“Yeah, let’s all go towards him and-”
“What is that?”
A few Onis were talking about how to deal with Kenji, and when they were about to act and gang up on him, one of the Onis asked what was something. That SOMETHING, was what Kenji took out of his Digi-Storage, and was pointing towards the Onis.
That SOMETHING, clearly was Ansturm.
“Wha?! YOU DISHONORABLE BASTARD!”
“Dishonorable? You guys were talking bout ganging up on me! Don’t come to me with your bullshit!”
Letting electricity flow through his gauntlets, powering up Ansturm systems, Kenji pulled the trigger. And as he did that, the Onis moved towards him. They thought: He won’t use that huge thing this close, right? But in fact… he did.
“Wha?!”
KABLAM!
An explosion occurred, taking out some Onis that decided to rush towards Kenji. The ones that did not move a single step, saved themselves and were looking at the scene with worried eyes.
They had received orders to deal with Kenji, and to do that BEFORE he could take out his weapons. Sirius specifically told them to not allow him to take his weapons out, or the fight could be over quickly. They didn’t think it would be over THIS quickly.
The Onis dismissed that information, saying that no weapon in the world could do that to them, ONI WARRIORS, and now, some of them noticed their mistake.
“This is no good… we’re gonna-”
“Die? Pretty much.”
The Oni started speaking, and was cut off by Kenji, who was exactly behind him. The Oni tried to move first, but a blade had pierced his arm, and cut it off before he could complete his motion.
As for how Kenji escaped the shockwave of the explosion, it was very simple. As soon as the missiles got OUT of the chamber, Kenji Flash Stepped away, climbing a building on his side, and waited for the smoke to clear out.
After that, he identified the Oni that he thought to be the strongest of the bunch, and moved behind him with Flash Step, and cut off his arm. There’s no worse pain to a swordsman, than losing an arm on a fight, is what he thought, as he severed the arm of the Oni warrior.
“Next.”
Saying that, he Flash Stepped and charged his Shockwave on his gauntlets, he slammed his hands towards a group of Onis. The shockwave was already strong alone, but with the two gauntlets slammed together? It was Overkill to use on these guys.
“Gahah!” “Guh!” “Blergh!”
The only thing that could be heard from all the Onis targeted by the Shockwave, were sounds of pain, and vomit. The first one, vomited blood and fell. The second, had his ears and nose running with blood, losing conscious right after. And the last one, actually resisted the impact, and only vomited instead. Well, his stomach was now empty.

Seeing the last one still standing, Kenji was surprised, but simply dismissed the guy with a shot from Schicksal.
“Well, then.”
After glancing at the dead bodies of the Onis, Kenji simply entered the building, leisurely, and without a shred of worry.
“Things are progressing rather smoothly… Hm… Something bad is gonna happen, huh?”
Saying that, Kenji cracked his neck, jumping slightly, and proceeded through the corridor. Throughout the corridor, were a few simple traps, such as arrows, and poisonous gases. No smell? BUTANE GAS!
A little late to notice, Kenji wobbled a bit and rolled through the floor a little ways away, and felt his floor gone. Shit! In an instant, Kenji used his electrical grappling hook on the ceiling, and pulled himself upwards.
“Cough! Cough! Cough! Fuck! Haaaa! How am I not dead?!”
Butane gas is highly toxic. So much so, that it can asphyxiate you, and is also cardio toxic and can cause ventricular fibrillation(irregular heart beating, google for more info), so in short… Kenji should have dropped dead in a very short while.
“I know it’s toxic! Stop blinking red on my vision already! What?!”
As he was complaining, Kenji’s field of vision blinked red constantly, and then, a window popped up.
► Poisonous Cloud(Butane Gas), has been averted. ◄
Due to your Half-Machine constitution, your immune system has created a counter directive against Poisonous Cloud(Butane Gas).
Skill: Poison Resistance(High) has been Acquired.
“Well… what the fuck? Whatever. It means I can go through the poisonous cloud?” His field of vision blinked Yellow. “So I have a limited time.” It blinked green. “Got it. Okay… Huuu! Haaa!(breathing in and out). Let’s freaking go!”
Pulling himself up, Kenji used the ceiling of the tunnel, now leading down, as a foothold, and forced himself on the cloud of Butane Gas. As he entered the cloud of gas, he felt his body stiff, and his field of vision darkening. Fuck! C’MON!
Feeling the air extremely heavy, Kenji landed, and used his left eye function to locate enemies. And in fact, there were enemies very close to him. But also some away. Let’s go with a boon, I guess. Guh!
Grabbing some Zerstörer charges from his Digi-Storage, he tossed around him, avoiding the surrounding enemies. He didn’t care about WHERE exactly it landed, just that it landed somewhere, since his vision was darkening quickly.
As he located the line of enemies leading through another corridor, Kenji dashed through that corridor. Even on this situation, Kenji noticed the air flow. It started to get lighter. Through… HERE!
Dashing more, and feeling his body getting heavier, Kenji just jumped. He trusted his senses. And just as he did, he felt the air getting even more light, and landed on his back, coughing hard.
“COUGH! COUGH! FUCK! COUGH! COUGH! I am using my mask… Cough! How did it pass through?!”
Thinking about it, it didn’t make sense. Kenji faced some poisonous enemies before, but why did the Butane Gas be able to go through his mask? How in the actual fuck?
“Whatever. Haaa… So this is the thing. Holy symbols, huh?”
Kenji glanced through the pillars of the nether gate. And he felt it to be strange. There were 2 types of energy around. Holy, and Demonic energy.
Holy Energy(or Mana, call it whatever you want), has a soothing feeling to it. Like being caressed by your loved one, or mother, and you feel it to be good.
Demonic Energy, on the other hand, felt repulsive. Kenji could feel the energy being piled up. The heaviness of it.

“So it was this. This wasn’t just normal butane gas!” He looked behind him, through the tunnel he had come from. “That wasn’t Butane Gas. It was Nether Gas. Or whatever the fuck it’s called. Yeah, yeah, pile up info, shitty thingy.”
Kenji complained at the window of his left eye, as it appeared a loading sign, with Compiling Information… on it.
“Alright. Let’s test something out.”
Taking out a Zerstörer charge, Kenji tossed it towards one of the pillars, and just as it landed on the pillar(remember that Zerstörer charges can stick to things), Kenji pressed the button to explode.
“Aw, crap.”
But as he suddenly remembered… he tossed some charges behind him on the tunnel he just come from.
—
On the outside, as the battle against a few lackeys was happening, the girls were having an easy time. Their enemies weren’t that strong, and even if they had numbers, Vermivia’s magic was powerful enough to wipe most of them out.
And those who survived, were taken care by her aids, and Kenji’s companions.
“PUSH FORWARD!”
“WE’LL NOT FALTER!”
“WE FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM!”
“Suzuki!”
Amara lashed against an Oni coming from Suzuki’s blind spot.
“Thanks!”
Lucy’s weapon smashed through flimsy shields that tried to defend against her, and Kasumi’s black spheres of lighting fried enemies as they pressed through the crowd.
“We need to keep moving! If night comes, then we- !!!”
As Vermivia was about to mention, an enormous explosion happened. And it came from the place Kenji was at.
“Guess he’s fine… right?” Suzuki asked.
“Probably… Yeah… Probably…” Lucy affirmed.
“The Gaseous Caverns… There was one there… Anyway! The night! We have to do our best before night comes! LET’S GO!”
As Vermivia re-affirmed the people’s faith in her, they pressed forward. But the girls looked back at the explosion’s site. He’s probably fine… right?
—
Back at the tunnel, the Gaseous Caverns(Author’s Note: yeah… the name is kinda…), Kenji was in a hole he hastily dug, and was with his shield activated, using it as a lid.
“Argh! That was a noob’s mistake! I forgot to change the frequency!”
Getting up, Kenji brandished his shield at a barely alive vampire that came out from the explosion. Tch! You’re a tenacious bunch, huh! As more heavily wounded vampires emerged from the remains of the tunnel Kenji came from, he glanced at the pillar that the Zerstörer charge landed. And he smiled.
The explosive charge, worked. Part of the pillar was destroyed, not completely, but part of it was. This solves the biggest issue. With a sadistic grin, Kenji tossed more charges on the pillars, and turned around towards the Vampires.
“You’ll die before yo-”
KABLAM!
Kenji used his shotgun, Gemetzel, on the Vampire talking. For this single situation, Kenji modified Gemetzel partially, so that, instead of coming randomly, the Fire-Breath shots would come each 2 shots instead. The first shot every time he took out of his Digi-Storage would ALWAYS be a Fire-Breath one.
“HAHAHAHAHA! LET’S GET THIS DONE!”
As the vampires acted hastily, Kenji kept trowing shots. 2 shots forward, and he glanced to his left, turning around, and shooting another strong bullet at a vampire coming towards him.
Storing Gemetzel, Kenji turned around and shot a shockwave towards another bunch of vampires, and a charge of Zerstörer together with them. THIS TIME! He remembered to change frequencies, and pressed the button hastily.
“Looking at this at another perspective, you guys sure want to die, huh?” He spoke coldly towards a group of vampires. “Choose. You try to fight me, and die, or! You can help Vermivia out, and defeat Victor. Choice is yours.”
The Vampires fell in despair. How was a human able to do all this? In clear sight, Kenji would lose. By far. But again, his Skills entered in place. Anarchy was the biggest help.(Author’s note: No status anymore. I can’t even remember anything anymore… and this after looking through the chapters… guess I dug my own grave on that one, huh…)
“WE’LL HELP!”
“Good answer. Now go. Before I change my mind.”
After that, the Vampires opened their wings, and flew away. Probably towards the battlefield, as Kenji thought.
“Man… I wish I had wings.”
Kenji thought for a second, and just thought: I can make something alike… jetpacks are… meh. But there’s something I can sure make. Heh!
“Alright! Next stop! Oh, yeah… Gotta hide this… mess…”
Kenji just glanced at the mess and the hole that was behind the Nether Gate(this was where the vampires flew by). And what he did? He just exploded more stuff, making a huge amount of debris in the hole.
“Next stop! The Slums!”
—
“The Gaseous Caverns… What a lousy way to try something pointless. I can still feel the gate open.”
Victor looked through the window of his Throne Room, towards the giant explosion that happened. Even after the explosion, the most he felt from the portal was a meager wave, and then back to full strength.
“He sure tried something stupid~”
Radreiale looked at the smoke coming out of the place that exploded, and laughed. But as she did that, she suddenly stopped laughing. Her eyes shone, a bright green light emanating from them.
Victor noticed that, and averted his eyes towards her.
“Tch! What were these visions?!”
Radreila was in disbelief. And Victor got curious.
“What is it? Another vision?”
“Not ONE! Several!” She was irritated. “How is that going to be possible…” She said in disbelief.
“What is it, Radreiale?!” Victor shouted in anger to her.
“He’ll… destroy the gates… There are… several ways he’s doing that… But more importantly… he’s going to kill me?”
She looked towards Victor. She was irritated… but also worried.
Furthermore, she had several visions. One where Kenji buried her alive through the rubble. Another where Kenji closed the Nether Gate with her being sucked through it, and being cut in half. Another where he cuts her belly open, and stuff some kind of explosive on her. And yet another one where he uses a strange electric wave to burst her insides out.
“I won’t… die… never! I! AM THE SINNER OF LUST! NO ONE! SHALL KILL ME! HISSSSSS!”
Hissing out loud, that even Victor staggered, she coiled around herself, and disappeared.
“Tch! Donovan!”
“Yes, my lord.”
“Don’t try anything funny, and go to the gate behind the fortress! Sirius!”
“Yes, my lord!”
“Guard the gates, and be ready for the stupidity that my daughters have prepared. Crush them.”
“As you wish.”
“As you command!”
Donovan and Sirius obeyed their orders, and headed towards the places they were assigned to.
“Killing Radreiale is no easy task… but how will you do it? Hm? You Brat.”
Victor looked through the window again. This time focusing on the troops approaching his fortress. Show me your show… my daughters.
—
“He’s here! Let’s take im’ do- GAH!”
“Guah!” “Guh!”
“OUTTA MA WAY DUMBASSES!”(spoke really quick)
With Ravager on hand, Kenji mauled through the mobs on the way to the slums’ Nether Gate. This one was guarded by more Onis, but also with a few demons, and Vampires.
“I cannot be defeated by this! Human! DIE!”
A being made out of complete flames. Kenji only glanced at it, and used a fully charged shockwave towards it, and it screamed in agony before disappearing. Activating his blades, Kenji passed through his enemies, cutting through bone and flesh.
“Tch! This smells horrible!”
He was talking about the Vampires of course. And that was because he was sniffing on Poisonous Blood, from the Vampires. Heating up his blades, Kenji got rid of the blood, and stored his blades. Pointing his hand on the door, he pushed a shockwave forward, blasting a few enemies on the other side.
Seeing that, some tried to SURPRISE attack him, but one bullet of Satz was more than enough to take care of it.
Proceeding through the corridors, Kenji saw bodies of people, completely dry. Husks… Please don’t revive as I get out of here. Reaching the end of the corridor, he was in front of another Nether Gate.
And to his sides, were people. Children, elderly, grown-ups, even babies. Sacrifices… Lucy talked bout them…
“You!”
As Kenji was about to help them, one of the Thugs that Lucy saw before, with a Gorgon symbol on the back of their hands, yelled at him.
“Sup!”
“How did you enter here?!”
Kenji glanced behind him, and pointed towards the corridor. “Through the door?”
“YOU!”
“Sacrificing people, huh… Even thugs don’t steep so low.”
“HA! AS LONG AS I’M ALIVE AND WELL, I DON’T CAR-!”
As the man was finishing his words, Kenji shot with Satz. With the starting words of the thug, Kenji lost his cool. With a boiling rage piled up, Kenji lowered his handgun, and started to tremble.
Kenji may be a guy who WILL kill you if you try to hurt him, or someone he finds somewhat decent. But even more so, if you try to kill a child. You can kill anyone! EXCEPT A CHILD!
Flash stepping towards the thugs, Kenji ripped through one’s torso with his blade, and pierced another through its chin. Moving swiftly, he grabbed the head of 2 other thugs, with his shockwaves ready, and slammed both of their heads together, literally exploding their heads.
Blood splattered on his clothes as he moved again against another thug that was about to touch his mark on the back of his hand. A moment too late, unfortunately, as Kenji sliced through the thug’s arms.
“HIIIIIII! Spa! Spare me! Please!”
“Did the people you sacrificed begged for their lives?”
“HIIIIIII!”
“Thought so.”
He sliced through the thug’s neck with his blade, splattering the ground with more blood.
He deactivated his blades, and looked behind him. People were crawling away from him. If you take in consideration his appearance right now, Kenji was terrifying.
His eyes glowed with a dim dark blue light, as he glanced through the people. And his words surprised even more.
“Get the fuck out of here… All of you.”
They glanced between each other, like they had nothing to do. Nowhere to go.
“I’m saying to get OUT of this place! Come on! Shoo! NOW!”
As they weren’t taking him seriously, Kenji got a bit aggressive. After everyone got out, Kenji glanced at the gate. Tossing more charges at the 2 pillars, Kenji turned around and walked off. As he did, the bodies of the thugs shot straight up, and glanced at the Zerstörer Charges.
They tried to approach it, and take them off of the gate, but as soon as they tried to do so…
Piiiiiii! KABLAM!
With a loud explosion, Kenji walked out of the door of the slum’s gate, and rushed to another. Kenji didn’t pay even a single glance towards the place. His original plan was to only destroy the gates when he got close to Victor. But now, he lost his patience. I’ll kill you… you disgusting Snake!

I do edit my own work and I do not have a beta reader, so please feel free to point out any errors or plot holes (politely, of course). Each chapter will be around 4,000 to 6,000 words long and while I was posting every day at the beginning, I think I'll cut that down to once a week for now, excluding bonus chapters! I really don't want to get burned out. I started writing this because I love world building, so this is gonna be heavy on lore. If you're not into that, there's still a ton of character progression and action to look forward to! It's going to be slow at the beginning, but I promise it will pick up eventually. Thanks for checking my story out, I appreciate it a lot!

The Fall
Perhaps the most well known of all devils, demons, or fallen angels is the one known as Lucifer, Satan, the Father of Lies. The cultural influence of this figure throughout history is by no means small. Despite that, it wasn’t until the time of Milton’s classic – Paradise Lost – that we saw an attempt to portray a dramatized version of the events leading to this figure’s fall from grace and power. And while this is the case, Paradise Lost is not about Lucifer – though it goes into great detail about his potential musings. No, Paradise Lost was, and still is, about the fall of mankind. So, in light of this, and the feeling that the classical story deserved another telling, I present to you all The Fall – a story focused particularly on Lucifer’s fall from grace and his musings both before and after.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
