***Hayato***
Hayato had been in the same spot in the same area for two hours and has killed several dozen [wolf] that tried to attack him. Each and every one of them did not last a second with him as he would always kill them in one strike. Currently he was harvesting from the carcasses of the wolves.
You have obtained:
108x Wolf pelt
65x wolf fang
88x wolf claw
108x wolf meat
32S 40C
Which resulted in him gaining a life skill called [Monster Harvesting]
You have obtained a life skill: Monster Harvesting!
You will now gain more materials when you harvest! The higher the proficiency, the higher the gain!
Proficiency: Beginner level 9, 10%
Hayato did not care for the harvesting skill and was more focused on just gathering the materials and waiting for the two girls to talk to him after he left, which might just be impossible but since they have not left the party yet; they might just talk to him again.
“I guess that should be enough…” Hayato mumbled and looked at his hands which were sullied by the blood of the dozens of [Wolf] he had killed. He wanted to wash them so he entered further into the forest while killing any monster that tried to attack him while ignoring the ones that just walked by him; marking his way by chipping off a bit of wood from the trees.
After roughly walking for five minutes, Hayato stumbled upon a clear running river. The water was crystal clear and he could see his reflection on it. He then began to inspect his face.
“Nothing changed at all… only added fox ears and a little bit bloody… I wonder if my scars are also here...” Hayato reached into the back of his shirt and where his fingers touched his back: he could feel the scars of his past. “Good…” Hayato breathed out a sigh of relief. He did not want to lose the scars because he wanted to remember what it meant to be weak to go against something.
Hayato began washing his hands off of the blood and began to wash his face with the clear water. Seeing as the dried blood was hard to wash off, Hayato dunked his head into the running waters and began to scrub off the dry blood off of his face and after finishing; he brought his had out of the water feeling refreshed.
you feel refreshed! HP and MP will recover 5% quicker when resting
Hayato ignored the notification and took off his novice clothing, which resembled his blue Yukata from before he logged in, leaving him only in black boxers. Hayato began to wash the blood off of his clothing.
You have obtained a life skill: Laundry washing!
Scrub those dirty stains and show it what clean really means!
Hayato was grateful that no one will be able to see this notification. After making sure there was no blood stains left on his armor, he made a makeshift clothes hanger from the bamboo he found growing near the river he was using to wash his bloody body and clothing and hanged his novice armor/Yukata to dry and stayed in his boxers.
Hayato made a fire from using the wood he collected and again was gifted with another life skill.
You have obtained life skill: fire making!
being in tune with nature has allowed you to create fire from sticks and stones. Affinity with fire increases by 0.1% for every level up!
Hayato was beginning to get annoyed by the constant notifications popping up but again ignored them. “I’ll get used to it sooner or later…” Hayato heard some rustling from above him and barely managed to cut the thing trying to jump on him.

you have gained 875EXP!
Getting a better look at the thing he had killed, Hayato saw that it was a rather large and hairy spider appropriately named: [Spinne] meaning spider in German. Hayato began to harvest the spider’s materials.
you have obtained:
8x spider eyes
8x spider legs
1x arachnid carapace
3x silk string
Hayato burned what was left of the spider and buried it. He then took a look at the [silk string] and bamboo and then towards the river where he could see several fish type monster swimming in. He used his [Advanced appraisal] on the fish and was given its information
[table]Hisan-iwo[tr]
[tr]Type:fishATK15/60Level:8DEF:40HP680MP:115Hayato shrugged and began to cut off one bamboo pole and began to work on creating a makeshift fishing pole made from [bamboo] and [silk string].
You have obtained a life skill: Tool creation!
you can now make simple tools with simple materials!
Proficiency: beginner level 0, 40%
Hayato was beginning actually found it quite useful so he did not find it to be annoying. So he used it to create a makeshift hook with a [Wolf fang] that curve inside by quite a lot and made a hook while also raising his [tool creation] by one level.
Hayato looked at the fish again and it was still there with its friends. Hayato took out one wolf meat and began to cut it into very small pieces and pierced it with his hook. Hayato carefully casted his line ,which only stretched two meters in front of him, and waited for the fish to take the bait.
Sitting as still as a statue, Hayato watched as the fish began to prod his bait but none of them bit down hard enough for him to pull it out.
You have obtained a life skill: Fishing!
Can begin catching fish with some bait, hook and string!
Proficiency: beginner level 0, 10%-20%-30%
Hayato watched as his fishing proficiency rising as he waited for a fish to bite down on his hook. He slowly moved his line up and down. He does not know how long it will take but fishing always needed patience and timing so he focused on that.
It took him almost three hours to catch a single fish.
Hayato sat in front of the fire after putting his Yukata/novice armor back on. After six hours of fishing and waiting for the girls to calm down, Hayato had finally felt hunger and seeing as he had caught some fish type monster called [Hisan-iwo], which looked like a normal fish; he began to roast them with the fire he had made.
Hayato waited as the fish began to cook and in his spare time, he used his [novice dagger] to carve some random wood he had into different sculptures of the animals he had seen. From the [Raccoon] to the [Chicken] to the [Hisan-iwo]; He crafted them and even of the animals he had encountered in real life.
You have obtained the life skill: wood carving!
You can make simple sculptures and basic necessities like cups and plates from wood!
Proficiency: beginner level 0, 10%
Hayato ignored the notification and continued to carve a little fox with nine tails. He made the fox sitting next to a sobbing child while having its tail wrapped around the child’s body in an attempt to calm it down.
You have made a fine piece!
DEX+10, INT+10
“I think I’ll give this to Ame as a sign of apology…” Hayato completely ignored the notification and brought up the piece he created to eye level. “Maybe I can paint it a little before giving it to her…” Hayato heard some rustling behind him causing him to put away the dagger and wood carvings into his inventory and turned around to face the intruder.

His anxiety was wiped away when he saw Ame and Yuka emerge from the shrubbery that hid him.
“Big brother…!” Ame ran up to Hayato and hugged him tightly.
Hayato did not understand what was going on but still he wrapped his arms around the little girl who was apparently crying into his Yukata/novice armor.
“You- you didn’t answer me… I-I… I thought so-something happened!” Ame began to cry loudly. Hayato was speechless and looked up towards Yuka to ask what she meant.
“We tried calling you, we tried talking to you on the party chat and we even mailed you… but you never answered any of them so Ame was beginning to get worried.” Yuka explained. “Why didn’t you pick up the calls?”
“Calls…?” Hayato tilted his head whilst petting the little girl to stop her from crying.
“There should be a notification for calls, mails and chats in the upper right corner of your vision.” Yuka pointed to where the before mentioned things were supposed to be.
Hayato looked up at the place where Yuka pointed to and right there were three small notifications: 69 [mails], 89 [calls], 1111 [chat].
Hayato laughed sheepishly. He never realized there were notification panels there.
“Maybe they were set into silent mode… judging from you expression earlier: you did not know of the [communication notification system]…” Yuka crossed her arms and made a wry smile. “Well, I guess everyone has their faults…”
Hayato simply let the insult slide and turned his attention to the little girl still clinging onto him as if her life depended on it. “Ame, I’m fine… See? I’m still well and alive and not only that: I have a present for you.” Ame looked up with her tear-stained upturned eyes. “Here…” Hayato took out the wood carving of the little girl and the nine tailed fox.
Ame gently took the sculpture from the white haired male’s hands and studied it. A fox with nine tails sat and looked at a little girl crying. In an attempt at comforting the girl: the fox gently caressed the little girl with its tails and even offered her a little flower. Even though she was still a child, she knew that it meant that the fox was not trying to do anything bad and was trying to cheer the girl up.
Ame looked up from the sculpture to the one she called Older brother then back towards the sculpture. Tears began to form in her eyes again and she hugged him once more.
“Ame…? What’s wrong?” Hayato was bewildered as the girl began to silently cry into his clothing. She softly shook her head whilst simultaneously wiping her tears away with his Yukata and burrowed her head further into his clothing.
“I still haven’t forgiven you…” Yuka declared.
“I didn’t expect any forgiveness for what I did was out of line.” Hayato answered with a smile. Yuka fell silent at what the male had said. “All of you weren’t exposed to many corruptions in the world unlike me so what I did was out of line.”
A small stomach growl interrupted the silence and Hayato felt the little arms around him squeezed tighter. Hayato smiled. “Let’s go and eat. I caught some fish.” Hayato mentioned for the two to sit down on the fallen log that served as a makeshift sofa.
“How did you get them?” Yuka asked before taking a bite of the roasted fish.
“Oh, they were the fish type monsters that lived in the river here…” Hayato nonchalantly told them and took a bite of his own fish. “Mm… They actually taste- what’s wrong?” Hayato saw the two instantly stopped eating.
“We are eating monsters?” Hayato nodded at the two’s question. “Actual monsters…?” again he nodded to their question.
Both the girls looked at the fish they were eating then towards each other.
“Oh don’t be picky… the foods in town are also made from monsters too you know…” Hayato took another bite after briefly lecturing them.
=====================================
***Ame***
“I did it…” Ame declared quietly as she felt the dagger she equipped had pierced the skull of the small [Raccoon]. Her hands trembled and watched as the [Raccoon] fell limp onto the cold ground.
Behind her were Yuka and Hayato who had taken care of the remaining 9 [Raccoons] with ease. Since they were more than 10 levels above the [Raccoon], they gained no EXP but still gained the drops unlike Ame who gained both EXP and item drops.
You have gained 100 EXP!
Ame clenched and unclenched her hands on the dagger’s hilt. She had killed something for the first time. She felt horrible for doing it while at the same time she felt a sense of accomplishment.
“Ame…” She turned around towards the one she calls her older brother. “I think you should let us handle the rest for now. You can rest easy. You earned it.” Ame could only nod and fell to her knees. She stared at the dead eyes of the [Raccoon] she had killed.
She then felt a hand on her shoulder. Turning her head towards the owner of the hand, she found Yuka smiling apologetically at her. Ame blinked and slowly hugged the older female who returned the hug.
Ame began to sob as her arms tighten themselves around the older female she called sister. Yuka who was holding her tried her best to comfort the little girl.

Not about to waste these gifts, Sylvester quickly sets out to get rich quick and discover the reasons behind his sudden knowledge. It is actually how the game has gone and there is a very real chance that anyone, including Sylvester, could die in any encounter. To help make my job easier I am using dungeons written by other people, which is why I have listed this as a fanfiction. I put links to all of them in the chapters where they are relevant.)
