I feel this weird vibe whenever I make a chapter that it just doesn't seem right compared to my earlier chapters and makes me feel bad in some way like I am doing something wrong. So, I decided to either make a new story all together and drop it or continue it. The third option is to revamp it but I don't know if I have the time for that and I already decided to make a new story a couple of days ago.
So, if you like this story than I want your opinion since this was my first ever Fiction and I want your thoughts on it because I am already committed on starting a new series.

MANTIS: On Hiatus
Two young adults who were childhood friends are killed amidst a pandemic worse than our own. After many years apart, Rihelah was on her way to see Michael, hoping to rekindle their friendship on the day they would both lose their lives. The pair are unwittingly selected to represent Earth in a test set forth by godlike beings who are intrigued that our world gave rise to complex life without having been intentionally seeded by their kind. Michael and Rihelah are reincarnated as predatory insects upon a distant planet called Edon. Elves, Dwarves, Dragons and their kin, Goblins, Ogres, Humans, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and sapient arthropods known as Enkelyn all inhabit this beautiful world touched by magic. The tiny mantids must survive terrified and very much alone upon arrival, while neither is aware that the other has also been reincarnated upon the same island. Naked in their new chitinous exoskeletons, they must now brave the terrors of an alien world's food chain. Each will benefit from their years of experience on Earth, but they must somehow find a balance between old lives and new. Moderate mindsets and peaceful values from a mostly safe and privileged life on Earth must now contend and somehow coexist with the strange physiology of a new and unfamiliar body as well as the violent aggressiveness of a predator's mind. To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters. I've learned a ton from writing like a madman, and also from the RR community. I appreciate you guys! :)

A story about self-discovery, interpersonal relationships, magic and magical creatures-- and a silent war. Marsha is about seven years past adulthood and still feels like a scared child in her parents' home. This is exacerbated when she discovers her father has apparently keyed up his destructive, sadistic habits-- leading to a mad dash out of the house with precious cargo in tow and only one idea where to go. This begins her journey, leading to a discovery that will change her life forever. And she never wants to go back. (Warnings: Lots of descriptions of abusive, sadistic and otherwise traumatizing and triggering behavior that a parent perpetuated toward a child or multiple children. Descriptions of violence, a main character with emotional issues that will be dealt with, and a whole lot of the 'aftermath' of battles in a war. Even a few descriptions of some of those battles. Things of that nature. If you can't handle one of those, please do not read.) {I had this idea to write a 'common route' and then 'romance routes' like they do in otomes? Hey yo. This is gonna be more of a diary entries than a story but hey. This will contain some game aspects, reincarnation and blah blah blah.1st arc: Well isn't this just dandy.This story follows a random guy who just happens to win a poker match against a whole pantheon of gods in an ametuer poker tournament. He won the tournament then went home, afterwards dying by slipping on a banana peel to an open manhole then being eaten by a sewer croc of legends. Ok fine he died by hitting his head too hard on the concrete floor.The random guy just so happens to die on the same day as eleven other random people caused by slipping of a banana peel. Oh yeah they also have beaten the mentioned pantheon of gods one way or another, well an example would be rock paper scissors, an mmo, drinking games and more. In simple terms they're shit at games.What could possibly go wrong.

A life form like no other... or wait, what the !?!? An experimental weapon made from gods ? A being made to destroy? Wait ! Gods ??? What the heck ?.... Something went wrong in the experiment, and what seemed like a success, failed... and so they threw it in a "trash" world, at least then it would be forgotten by everyone.. or would it ?
