The way we traveled was devoid of titans, yet we met an occasional one.

One of the occasions was where a person was about to be eaten but Emily took out her sniper and with a single shot, blasted the head off the titan.

"Wow nice shot" I told her but she shook her head, "Missed the nape again, damn buggers, its like they can sense it" she mumbled.

"What do you mean, you killed the thing, its laying on the ground, head blown off and everything" I said with confusion.

She just shakes her head and points her fingers toward the titan. With this movement I looked over and my mouth hit the floor in disbelief. The titan was getting to his feet, the head regrowing as if nothing has happened to it.

"Their powers are so annoying" Emily pouted and she shot another round, this time it went through the lower neck.

Giving me a blade she urges me forward "Quick, slit the nape, it shouldn't regenerate afterwards"

I scuttled over quickly, the few seconds that I had was precious after witnessing how terrifying the powers of their regeneration was.

By the time I got over there, the titan was already attempting to stand up, but another round from the sniper and it succumbed the the floor.

Cautiously climbing the back of the titan I slit the nape of the neck, making a deep cut just to be safe and the titan's body released smoke as it started to dissolve. The person that the titan was about to eat was just laying there and not moving at all.

I grew worried about her and decided to check for a pulse, and quickly found one.

Emily jogged over and looked at the girl.

"Leaving her here would be death, move her into a building if you will" Emily said and then looked around, the sound of screaming was resonating from a distance but it was close enough to make us on edge.

I picked up the girl bridal style and entered one of the "more intact" buildings in the area, I also moved stuff to block things from looking inside.

As soon as I finished a message popped up.

I was taken back by the sudden reward and asked Emily questions about the matter.

She just looked at me bored, "Oh yeah, things like this happens, I got a 2000 points and a rank C reward myself"

We started to move but took cover when we saw a blonde boy about to be swallowed by a titan when someone pulled him out. In turn the guy was eaten.

"Should we have saved them?" I asked but Emily shakes her head, "If we change the plot to much then we might get a different mission, I recognize those characters as Armin and Eren, If this event didn't occur than Eren wouldn't have found out his titan powers, and then the mission would change from "Survive till Eren closes the breach in the wall" to an entirely different mission. "

We watched as the titan walks away from Armin and we turned toward the gates that separated the walls Rosa and the walls that lead to the land between Maria and Rosa.

"We should head over there soon, the others are probably worried about us." I said and Emily smiles once more and takes off in a run. And I struggle to keep up behind her.
