《Nano Mage》Chapter 10 Homeroom teacher

“Is that her?” “Yeah I think so.” “Do you guys mean primal vomit?” I heard these words as I watched Roaming Thunder walk into the room. She takes the seat to my right. “So did you really make everyone in your block vomit?” A young girl with glittering blue hair asked her. “Actually yes.” She did not refute it.
“I am Silver.” That same girl introduced herself. I was thinking she was going to push the handshake aside, but unlike with me she grasped Silver’s hand firmly. I could not believe my own eyes. Silver then asked. “So any interest in any of the guys here?” Roaming Thunder looked around the classroom and then took a quick glance at me. She quietly nods. “Ah, I see.” Silver strikes her hands together. (What do you see?) I wonder to myself.
Suddenly Shadow Void opens the classroom door with great force. “I have arrived.” Everyone looks at him like he is an idiot, myself included. He takes the seat to my left. The two of them are glaring at one another. (Was your fight not enough for you two?)
A short woman walks into the classroom. Her eyes are two separate colors. (Those eyes look very familiar.) One a deep blue, the other a sparkling emerald. Why did those eyes look so familiar? Now I remember, they are almost like subject 32’s eyes, but more defined, and in the opposite placing. Her hair did not match to subject 32’s. It was a faded pink. Maybe if subject 32 dyed her hair pink it would look like that. “I am Maple Rose. Starting today I will be your homeroom teacher.”
The classroom suddenly burst into a storm of noisy chit chat. “Silence!” The rooms walls became a lit with flames. The sudden heat causing everyone to sweat. People were not only sweating because of the heat, but also because of the look given by our new teacher.

“Now let me break down how classes will work. First off we will be having practice battles daily. People will be divided into groups of nine. Each group will have three members. Since all of you should know at least two people in this room, I want them to be our first opponents.” “So like the entrance exam?” Silver was the one to ask the question on everyone’s mind. “Yes although there will be a time limit of three minutes per battle.” “I see.” “There will be three members so that one person can be the judge. Also I will be teaching everyone here to use healing magic. This is so that you may treat any serious injury dealt. After the practice battles we will have team tag battles. I will explain the rest of the schedule at a later date.”
For the next twelve hours we were taught, and then had to master healing magic. Healing magic felt like holding someones hand, and feeling their heart beat. The teacher demonstrated by cutting her finger with a knife, and then healing it. The point was to imagine the wound sealing shut, and then sending a soothing sensation to the area. This was explained to use like having a cool ice pack, or a ware cup of tea.
“Time!” “Dammit who won, me or Shadow Void?” I looked at Roaming Thunder. “Sorry but it was a draw.” “Well fuck!” I felt her fist slam into my cheek. After healing them both it was my turn to face Shadow Void. (Well it seems I lost again!) I put up a better fight this time, but it seems I was still out matched. I lost to Roaming Thunder instantly, no matter what it seemed electricity was my weakness.

When it came to the tag team matches, I held back Roaming Thunder because of my body giving out each time she would use a spell. Although Shadow Void and I dominated our opponents. (I need to come up with a solution to my lightning intolerance.)
“Well class, most of you know the basic spells, and a lot of you are specialized in a particular attribute, however without versatility, you are doomed to failure.” She put it so bluntly that some of the students became rather upset. “Starting today you will be learning intermediate spells of every attribute. Lets start with Thunder lance.”
“Unlike with Ice lance, thunder lance requires one to think of a heavier lance. The bigger the better. Rather than launching it forwards, you swing it downwards. As the blade gets closer to the target, you add layers after layers of electricity to one another. Once it hits its target the electricity should course through it.”
Each time someone would try the spell out, I would feel my body becoming limp until the spell ended. When it came to my turn, I was able to preform the spell, but became extremely dizzy. Maple Rose looked at me with an intrigued face. She had clearly seen my earlier duels, and knew I seemed to have a vast amount of mana, yet whenever it came to lightning magic I would feel completely drained. “Hmm? Could it be you have a low compatibility to the lightning element?” I looked at hear and nodded. “It seems you are from the mythic continent. I heard rumors that those from there often have compatibility issues with magic.” (Really?)
The more I heard about the mythic continent the more unsettled I became. That place was to mysterious. Not having any children for the last nineteen years, unable to read the shine language, and earth technology. That is what was bugging me the most. Apparently they had things like cars and trains. Should I look into them in the future, or would it be better to avoid that place?

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]

Long War [Oldest]
It was a war. It was silent, so silent that few people ever noticed that it was happening, and long. So long that those who knew forgot why it ever started. Humanity had fought against itself... and lost. Prosperity, democracy and human rights were a thing of the past now, as the world fell into Sovereigns's hands - a handful of transnational corporations (and their CEOs) that monopolized the world economy. The resistance had been long silenced with the policy of bread and games. Now, over a hundred years later, something happened. One of the Sovereigns created a VRMMORPG like none other. A science fiction game, where players could explore the Galaxy... full of advanced technologies, bloodthirsty aliens and even magic. Was it a simple computer game, or... something else?

Chimera
Fate isn't always so kind, yet to some, this lack of fortune may be just what leads them to greatness. Chimera tells the tale of one such ill-fated being, of how she fought and grew as an individual, walking down the path she chose, and of how she will one day ascend past this mystical world of magic and monsters to achieve the greatness that was promised to her. - - - Author's Note: Hello there! I hope you'll give my first ever series "Chimera" a read! I DON'T want to make this series into a full-blown LitRPG or wuxia, but a fantasy series that dabbles into both genres. I hope I don't betray your expectations! Please enjoy reading, and thank you!
