《Nano Mage》Chapter 17 The day the mage died

It was several month’s ago when Sylphire’s savior died, however. (Finally Sylphire has left the corpse.) A young man wearing a blue cloak approaches the body. “Stopping time is not an easy feat. Come my servant.” The man motions for a young woman wearing a dark yellow hood to approach. “Can you heal him?” “Yes!” “Good! Are you able to alter his memories?” “Affirmative.” The young woman nods. “So do you think we will be able to kill Sylphire this time?” The man in the blue cloak glares at the woman. “Why do you think we are making all the preparation for?”
Back Gate
I feel like my head has been hit by a dragon’s fallen corpse. What is with the pain in my body? Oh well at least my girlfriend is her to aid me. (Who is the man we are with though?) “This man has hired us to create a new spell.” Oh I remember now.
Blue Cloaked man
First off is to open a portal to the past, um a few weeks ago I believe. I raise my hand and begin to channel my mana. Energy whirls around, creating a gravitation pull. We are sucked into the past. I have Back Gate open a portal to the other world using his magic. We step through. I mask our presence with magic.
The screaming of the white haired woman is heard throughout the building. (So this is the moment she died! I must stop it from happening.) I pause time. I send a flow of mana into her body to stop her death, but I make it seem like she is dead for the time being.
Once they dump her corpse, I warp it to us. “Now we just alter her memories.” This is harder because she has the same condition as Sylphire, but we mange to pull it off. When we arrive back to our world the young woman gives birth to a child. (She was pregnant? The child is of little consequence?) “Get rid of it, but do not kill it!” Who knew this child could be of use some day.

Apparently the child was sent to live with the parents of princess Mithra. That should keep him out of our way.

I feel like I lost something important, but I can not recall what. There is an ache in my heart, wait not just my heart. I let out a reached scream. My hair feels like it is being torn to shreds, and my eyes feel like they have melted. The sensation of millions of ants walking around inside of me, makes me want to vomit, but all I can do is scream. Once the pain ends I wonder over to the nearby river and see my reflection. My hair is no longer white, it is now a deep red, with traces of orange on the center. My eyes of change from blue and green, to a deep purple, and a soothing magenta. I can not recall my name so I ask my mentor.
Blue cloaked man
The woman asked me for her name. (Does she not remember?) I deiced to call her Lurid, both due to her new hair coloring, and the events that took place in her life to this point. My plan to destroy Sylphire was coming to fruition. We must avoid him for now, if we do not our larger goal is impossible to accomplish.
Princess Mithra
My family suddenly adopted a child, this was my new baby brother, but it had only been two days since his arrival. He was a newborn then, but now he looks to be about two. My parents do not find it strange at all, but I know this is not right. (Just what is my brother?)
It has been a month since my brother’s arrival, he now looks about seven. He instinctively can use magic. A tiger cub somehow got within the castle walls and we feared for our lives, but my brother turned it into a pile of ash in an instant.

My brother is now attending physical training. He lapped people using magic with out using his own. (My brother terrifies me!) At least he stopped rapidly aging. He now seems to be about twelve years old.
The brother
I can feel this weird connection to two people fare away. Both of them seem to be learning magic. I really need to met them, but first I have to become stronger than them. My sister is afraid of me. I do not blame her, I have been growing faster than anyone my age. For some reason only my sister has noticed. Every once in a while, I will hear strange female bards signing from within my body. There voice kind of reminds me of loose mana.
Yellow hooded woman
My master has been training the new toys relatively well. That woman is scary though, she can use multiple magics at once, although Sylphire has been known to do the same. I will do everything in my power to stop Sylphire, we must!

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.
