《Godslayer》Chapter 9: Team Battle Royale

A/N: hey guys just wanted to give you a heads up I decided to change god Slaying Form one from river's flow to River God's Dance
---------------------------------------------------
*Sir, how far are you?*
*ETA 3 minutes*
*Roger, out*
Right now, blurs of green was seen in my surroundings as I ran through the forest. Behind me, mechanical footsteps could be heard as the Soldiers attempted to catch up to me. While focusing my gaze forward, I feel presences to my right five meters away and stop immediately.
Just where I should have been, a javelin prods from a tree as it violently quivers from the impact. The five presences I felt earlier now stand in between me and the way forward as fifty robots surround me.
"Whew... we finally caught up to you Jung Woo.... it would have been dangerous to let you group up with your teammates... We'll take you out now"
While saying that, a female steps forward and retrieves the javelin. The female was about 5'4 with a long pink hair that reached her lower back. She had an athletic build with her skinny upper body and toned legs shown under the skirt. Silently cursing, I think back to an hour ago.
That damn old hag!!
An hour ago, the whole freshmen class had been gathered into the school auditorium. As my classmates had gathered and started conversing, Mikael came by my side and spoke.
"Yo Jung Woo. So what do you think the format for this tournament is going to be?"
As he was talking, Isabel had also appeared.
"... I've studied the other tournaments formats, but truthfully I can't tell. Every year the format is different.... sometimes its just a regular three vs three match, sometimes a one vs one match, even sometimes a head on three vs three with thirty soldiers per team... If I had to guess it'd be something along the last one..."
While we were talking, the headmistress and the student council president appeared on the front stage. The whole class became quiet, waiting for them to begin speaking. Smiling at the suddenly silent group, Elizabeth Tudor begins.
"Hello, freshmens. As you all know, I am the Student Council President, Elizabeth Tudor. Every year, we hold tournaments for each class to determine who will have the honor represent Olympus Academy during the 5 star pentagram battle.
I know that representing our school when it hasn’t been so long since you've begun training may be daunting but remember this. You all are the future of our great Olympus Academy! Now then, the headmistress will explain the format of this year's tournament"
At this, the headmistress walks forward. As usual she is gorgeous in her pin stripped black suit with the first three button open. Clearing her throat, she begins the explanation.
"This year's tournament will be held as a team battle royale. Within the school's forest, everyone will be moved to a designated area. At this location, there will be a mic piece, a badge, and the previously determined amount of AI Soldiers.
The objective of this team battle royale is for each team to form up and eliminate other members by destroying their badges. The team that survives until the end will be claimed the winner.
The rules for this battle royale is that only basic forms of celestial weapons are authorized and no one may aim for kills. Cameras has been instilled all throughout the forest to monitor everyone and for the other classes to view. Well then, the staff personnel will blindfold you and take you to the designated areas. Once all players are set, a countdown will start to begin the tournament. Please do your best and win! Have fun~"

Saying that, the headmistress waves at us while the staff personnel comes and blindfold us. Losing my sight, I follow the guidance of the staff personnel as he takes me to my area. Walking for about thirty minutes, we finally stop and the staff personnel takes off the blindfold.
Squinting my eyes due to the sudden brightness, I slowly regain my vision and inspect my area. All around me were trees who's branches were swaying with the slight breeze. Tiny rays of light broke through the barrier of leaves above and shone down into the area. What stood out, however, were the five AI Soldiers.
The AI Soldiers were humanoid robots with artificial intelligence. The robots were covered with metallic plates with balls at where joints would be. In their hands, these Soldiers held M-4 replica pellet rifles. The replicas weren't strong but the pellets would leave a paint residue on a player when it hit, marking them. These AI Soldiers were programmed to be able to execute simple commands.
Beside them on the ground was a box. Going over, I pick it up and inspect it's contents. Inside was a mic ear piece and a badge. Attaching the badge to my chest, I put the ear piece on and try to send out a communication.
*Mikael, Isabel. Can you hear me*
In response, I only hear static. Assuming they wouldn't turn on until the tournament begins, I await the signal. About three minutes afterwards, Elizabeth Tudor's voice comes over a intercomm.
"Everyone is now in their designated location. The tournament will begin in ten....nine...eight...seven...six...five...four...three...two...one...start!"
With the tournament starting, I turn to the Soldiers and issue a command before running off.
"Follow me"
With that, my conscious returns to the present.
"It must have been luck we ran into you so soon... we had gotten together and agreed to take you and Isabel out first since you two are the strongest in our class.."
While the girls, Heather Radford, continued speaking, I inspect their formation and inwardly shake my head. The formation was horrible for the Soldiers. Forming a circle might have worked if they carried melee weapons but the risk of friendly fire was too great with automatic weapons. The best course of action (COA) for right now would be going straight at the players. If I am in near vicinity of them, that should neutralize the Soldiers' fire. Thinking that, I decide to send a comm. before acting.
*Hey Mikael, Isabel. I've ran into a group of players. Give me a few moments to handle them*
*....roger. I have also made contact with enemies*
*Mikael, head over to Isabel's position and provide her with support"
*Roger sir*
*...no need I can handle this*
Chuckling at Isabel's refuse for assistance, I summon my celestial weapon.
“Oh king of all swords, the bane of all dragons! Enemies have surrounded me, attempting to drag me down with their evilness. Become the light that shatters the darkness and free me from the evil, Excalibur!”
In my right hand appears a long katana with a fiery aura surrounding it. Seeing my celestial weapons, the group of players immediately take defensive steps. Feeling that the fire element didnt suit the rules, I switch Excalibur's attribute.
Apep, change Excalibur's attribute from fire to water.
Understood, boy
With Apep's confirmation, the sword aura changes into a fluid blue. The players opened their eyes in suprise due to this. Truthfully I'm not suprised as they had all been taught that summons usually only have one attribute. Unfortunately for them, Apep wasnt a ordinary summon.

Taking advantage of their shocked state, I begin moving. Muttering under my breath, I perform a form
"God Slaying Form two, The Lightning God's Strike"
Lowering my upper body until it was parallel to the ground, I use my forward momentum and dash forward, immediately reaching right in front of Heather's bosom. Before any of them had time to react, I unseathe Excalibur and cut her badge in half before moving to the next opponent.
The male who was my next target tried to raise his mace up to protect himself but was too slow and didnt make it on time as I cut his badge neatly in half before moving on.
Like this, before the enemy Soldiers could locate me or before the enemy recovered I cut their badges and headed forward with my AI Soldiers following. Soon afterwards at the location we had decided I see Mikael and Isabel already waiting for me.
"Hey sir. Already dispatch them?"
"Yup, five enemies. How many you guys take out"
"I took out three people on my way here sir"
"....eight"
"Ho... so that means sixteen people been already taken out by us alone...."
While we were talking by how many classmates we'd taken out, the intercomm started up again.
"At the fifteen minute mark, forty two freshmen have been eliminated. Sixty contestants now remain"
Forty two people have already been eliminated, huh? That’s more than I thought truthfully.... Anyways, this forest isn't too large so a lot of people mustve ran into each other quickly.... while thinking that, I begin forming a strategy.
"Alright you two, since we didnt expect this type of tournament, we got to change our strategy... I was wondering what you two thought of this one..."
Thinking that it was a little unfair to the rest, a smirk arrives on my face while I explain the plan.
"So the people that attacked me earlier had said that they had already formed a pact with others to aim to take out me or Isabel.... I'm going to assume its not just those people as many other probably feel that they need to take out the strongest first, especially with almost half the contestants out now. They would have most likely formed temporary alliances and are moving in large groups until they eliminate everyone else. This forest isn't too large so we'll run into them sooner or later... Why don't we form a ambush here?"
"... it makes sense. It is in human nature to group into large numbers when going against stronger things.. the group that attacked me also said something similar. How do you plan to ambush them?"
"Well... I was planning on..."
With this, I inform the other two and we set into motion. About ten minutes afterwards, while I was currently standing in a clearing, the intercomm went off again.
"At the thirty minute mark, thirty additional contestants have been eliminated. Thirty players now remain"
Hoo... so less than ten teams remain, huh? People are dropping out fast too. It seems I was right about teams forming alliances to take the rest out.
While I was thinking that, I continued waiting. Five minutes afterward, I hear branches breaking to my left and smile while I turn toward the sounds.
"Lee Jung Woo, you are quite reckless, being in the open like that"
What greeted my eyes was a large group of fifteen contestants and forty Soldiers. Each of the students held various types of weapons: swords, pikes, bows, lances, etc. Not being afraid at the large number, I smile at them and begin speaking.
"Ahh... it seems like you all have formed an alliance. How many teams have you all taken out?"
"Hoo..even though you're facing so many individuals, you're not rattled at all huh? Anyways, there should be only two personnel remaining after we take care of you....wait...where are his teammates?!"
Finally realizing that my teammates werent here, they begin looking around the surrounding frantically. Too slow. Smiling, I activate the ambush.
*Mikael, begin*
At my word, an arrow flies toward the group from the west. Mikael, now visible, was standing above a small mound with the string of his bow quivering from just being fired. One of the males takes evasive measure and barely dodges the arrow, breathing a sigh of relief before the arrow explodes upon making contact with the ground.
Panicking at the sudden explosion, our AI Soldiers begin firing on theirs, supressing the enemy support. Isabel begins sprinting toward the students at the same time I do.
"God Slaying Form one, River God's Dance"
Beginning the form, I weave through the enemy, slicing through any visible badges. In utter chaos due to the sudden attack, they attempt to counter but only get in each others way as they attack.
Isabel, on the other hand was raining attacks on the students in a fury, making them go along with her pace while aiming for an opening to pinpoint an attack on their badges. With her fluid movements, she looked like a fairy dancing on a moon lit night in a grove. Beautiful...
Anyways, in short work, we eliminate the party. Not even a minute afterwards, the intercomm went off claiming our victory.
"Team Five has claimed victory. All remaining students, please walk back towards the school training field. We will hold the final ceremony there"
Hearing that, I let out a sigh of relief. With this, I kept one part of the promise with the old hag... I'm one step closer to finally reaching Hyo Joo... while thinking that, I feel a pat on my shoulder and turn around. Beside me was Isabel.
"...good job"
"Haha you too Isabel. You looked great out there today"
Hearing my compliment, Isabel's cheeks blush slightly while she turns away. Huh? Did I do something wrong? While wondering that, Mikael jumps on my shoulders.
"CPT, good work~~ you treating us to dinner afterwards right?"
Haa... he still remembers I used to treat the CO out to dinner after a mission huh? Well it won't be too bad eating after this. Feeling in a good mood, I agree.
"Sure, why not? After the ceremony and a shower, lets all meet up at the gste. My treat!"
With Mikael whooping and hollering in joy of a party for dinner and Isabel shaking her head in agreement, Mikael grabs me and Isabel by the shoulder and while laughing we head back to school.

Transposition
Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.

Criminal Lord
Terry Isenburg, the greatest assassin who killed thousands of powerful officials and even led an army of people to reform the world had finally killed his final target after many years of suffering and effort. Changing the world was in sight. Until he was betrayed... Although, even in the abyss of death, two choices were placed before Terry. Enter the Trial or Hell? Watch how the man who nearly took over the world now attempts to take over a world of sword, monster, magic, and one hella strong tarantula... I made this story because I always wanted a dark fantasy isekai with a hella fine backstory rather than an idiot being run over as well as having sustainable, epic scenes with a badass main character. All of which I believe my story has. (Although I'm bad at managing levels and experience and I have little imagery since I hate imagery) One other thing, the first volume may be kinda boring/repetitive but I can guarantee loads of badass action in volume 2 so please stick around. (I would also appreciate the views) If you like or dislike the story, please write a comment or review about this story to help me improve, but please don't hate on the story without explaining why. I also hope that you readers share the story to give me more support. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the story. [The cover is something I made poorly but it represents something in chapter 9-10]

The Princess And Her Warmonger
"Let me tell you a true story about a mouse and a Warmonger, and the unlikely relationship that sprouted between them in the time of endless war." Nostalisk is a world in endless constant war. The Factions of this world endlessly fight for power, this fighting called the Great Wars, a war that has been alive for over four million years. Currently, one of the largest Factions has withdrawn from the endless fighting. This Faction, known as the Kingdom, hopes to forget their past of endless bloodshed and how they were almost destroyed because of it. In the Kingdom, Princess Isalene, the only princess of the Kingdom, is stuck choosing a new personal guard after her previous one died. Despite her father, King Robert, helping her choose a new guard, Isalene decides to head to the arena to see how the knights on the list her father gave her act outside of the eyes of royals. When she arrives at the arena, she sees a knight fighting that is not on the list her father gave her. Named Cruel Knight, this knight is a vicious knight with confusing morals. Despite hating violence, Princess Isalene can't help but be drawn to the knight and their graceful yet cruel fighting style and strange weapons. Princess Isalene continues to watch them and soon learns that Cruel Knight is a Warmonger named Sharia, and is female at that, meaning she is a prisoner. She isn't in there for something simple as disobeying a direct order or killing a noble, but for prolonging a war. Despite knowing this, Princess Isalene can't stop thinking about the Warmonger and suddenly gets a "smart" idea. She'll make Sharia her new personal guard to find out more about her! What could go wrong? And so begins the odd relationship between Sharia The Warmonger and Princess Isalene. One is a peace-loving sheltered naive princess who hates violence and the other is a vicious, cold, twisted, and cruel Warmonger who hates the kind of peace Isalene and the current Kingdom loves. Polar opposites. Yet, even the Warmonger can't help but grow a strange liking to her new "annoyance". But, can the two really get along? After all, Sharia's whole mindset sees Isalene as a waste, and it seems that everyone Isalene talks to tells her to fire Sharia before something terrible happens. But, then again, during this time of budding danger, this odd couple may be what the Kingdom needs. After all, when a large faction such as the Kingdom starts growing soft and weak, they become a rather irresistible target. [After thinking on it, I decided to start a re-write of The Princess And Her Warmonger, adding more details, fixing the switching POVs somewhat, and fixing some of the issues with the story. Don't worry, all of the chapters are still here, I am just making new ones and replacing the old chapters one at a time] (This story can also be found on Scribble Hub and Webnovel) [Cover art is not mine]
