About 8 months had passed since I'd last seen Yuko. We were now in our last years in high school. Today, there was a single topic of discussion in our class. No. That's an understatement. There's actually only a single topic of discussion in the whole entire world: Infinity Outbreak or IO.

Yesterday was the announcement of release of the game. Today is the actual release and it will be on sale on every major game store, online or offline. Estimates say that the sales on the first day may go up to 10 million, but thats only because of the limited availability. News channels were playing live recordings of some game stores, where hundreds of people had set up tents in the middle of the night. The online stores were flooded with a huge number of users constantly refreshing the pages.

Yuko was right. The world was going to change. And as for the change, he was the one to have caused it. But he himself, was nowhere to be found. A new company had been set up for the sole purpose of running the game, going by the same name as the game. But his name was not mentioned. Not once. No one knew it was all him. Well, none but me. Maybe there were people who knew but keeping quite. Maybe the real owner of the company was himself, just not on paper. Maybe he was pulling the strings from the shadows. I couldn't tell. But what I did know was that he was out there, definitely. Probably laughing at the state of the world he caused. But I was certain, that he was happy.
