Chapter 005 - A Robot Coach?
[Cyan]: “Thank you, Willy, I will start with the Quest now”
Cyan checked the time for the Quest
[Start your training]
[1] Do 10 push against the floor, in 10 minutes (time remaining 4:05 minutes)
[2] Locked (unlocks after complementing the previous task)
Cyan then he moved to a corner and started doing some light stretches first, this was a resting area so he didn’t want to bother anyone else while he did his first Quest.
Looking around there were some Players taking their sweet time walking around or sitting while they were enjoying the area buffs, Cyan ignore all of this and started doing push against the floor in a corner where nobody was looking, he needed to hurry up before the Quest time runs out.
Even with the help of the buffs doing 10 pushes in 4 minutes was tough, making him realized how of out of shape he really was, he was always the last one in the track field or the last one pick, making him hate deports and ended avoiding joining any sport club, even though he wanted to join the same club Alice so they could spend more time together.
Even though Cyan thought he shouldn’t be able to pull more than 10 pushes he managed to reach 10 and then he felt like he could keep going even when in the beginning it was tough doing even one, he felt like they more he does it the easier it gets, it was not after the ~50 pushes that he started to feel his muscles starting to ache, but he still carries on until he arrived at 100 push, after hitting 100 his arms gave out and Cyan lay down flat on the floor as his phone vibrated.
Because the buffs he was getting from the area he recovered his strength pretty fast and his rough breath becomes normal once again, Cyan took the chance to read the new messages he got.
[Start your training]
[1] Do 10 pushes against the floor, in 10 minutes (Cleared)
[2] Do 100 pushes against the floor (90/100)
[3] Lock (unlocks after complementing the previous task)
Message [Midas]: “Quest [Start your training] [1] Cleared, Player Cyan is rewarded with 1 Free Point, keep working hard in your training”.
Cyan noticed now there was no time for the quest this time so he wasn’t in a hurry as before so instead of continuing he took the chance to talk with Willy.
[Cyan]: “This… right Willy, you said something about Free Points but how the use of them?”
[Willy]: “Free Points can be used to increase Player stats freely in the [Midas App], in the [Status] option Players can see their Stats together with all their accumulated Free Points, optionally they can write [Status] to [Midas] and wait for the reply, Remainder: Losing your [phone] will carry out a penalty of 10.000 credits, please be mindful of your device as some Player privileges can only be used throughout the [Midas App]”
For some reason Willy started to nagging him again about some unrelated matter but Cyan didn’t get angry as part of the information he didn’t know was there, but he was starting to be afraid of the future where Willy would try to remind him something until he was sick of it, for now, he put those thoughts in the back of his head as he opened the app.
Just now Cyan realized that since he has come here he didn’t have time to check the app, because he was in a timer due to the Quest, even though he was still in a timer because the area buff timer they wouldn’t expire until 3+ hours anyway so he could check more about the app now.

Even though [Midas] sounded like a super advanced alien computer system with technology far surpassing what humans were capable of, this App… was very lacking, at least in the UI aspect.
[Midas App]
[Status]
[Inventory]
[Skill]
[Quest]
[Shop]
[Willy]
[Map]
[Inbox](1)
[Help/FAQ]
After opening the app he notice the red number on [Quest] was gone even though the quest was still ongoing, it probably meant it was an unseen quest at that time, there was also a notification to check the inbox it probably meant there was also an unseen message there, Cyan opened the inbox and tapped on the message, it was a form of greeting that includes a gift box and a few freebies.
“Welcome to the [Training Tower]”
Welcoming Box 1 Free Point 000 Credits …(Text)
As for the message contents it was pretty much the information that Willy had already told him so there was no need to read it again, not to mention it was a very long read, reading it all the way down to the bottom probably would take all day long, this was probably one of the reasons the AR series was introduced after one a week to help players.
After checking that he didn’t have any other unread message Cyan returned to the main menu.
[Cyan]: “Now the [Welcoming Box] should be in the inventory right, Willy?”
[Willy]: “That is correct”
As usual, Willy was beside him waiting for his next command.
For the rest of the menu, [Shop] and [Skill] were gray out and clicking on them prompted a message from the app saying that those features were not available at the moment, as for the [Willy] options there were not any settings he could change so Cyan moved next to open his inventory.
[Inventory]
Credits: 2000
[Items]
Welcoming Box 30 Tickets for entry to Floors 5 to 7
[Equipment]
School Uniform
It listed his School Uniform as a piece of equipment but when Cyan tapped on it, it only showed it was a normal set of clothes without any effect, it was pretty depressing actually.
[School Uniform]
Standard Uniform for West High School Does not have any effect
As for Credits he had 2.000 maybe not much but either way, he didn’t know the value of 1 Credit.
[Cyan]: “Willy how much cost the food in the [Food Area]?”
[Willy]: “One full meal cost 100 credits if it is normal food, special food cost more… Player Cyan is advice to keep training…”
Willy responded the answer but it seems it was hell bend into making him go back to training however he ignore for now as he wanted to check the app a little bit more.
Cyan thought he would only find the [Welcoming Box] he got but he also have some tickets for going to upper floors, unlike the [Rest Area] it seems the other training areas are in the need for a ticket to entering them, he also remembered how he was told to train like his life depend on it on the [Rest Area] first, but Cyan still was feeling disconnected from the future unknown he was meant to prevent from ever happening.
[Cyan]: “Willy why is there the need for this tower?”
[Willy]: “Players are advice to start training…”
Asking that prompted Willy to give the same reply again, making him feel frustrated.
[Cyan]: “Willy what is the point of this training”
[Willy]: “Players are advice to start training…”
[Cyan]: “If you don’t tell me right now I will train no more”
The lights of Willy started blinking as if he thinking what he should answer now filling Cyan with hope that he may get a new answer.

[Willy]: “Cyan is advice to keep training no matter what”
Even though it was a new kind of answer it was not what he was hoping for so he could only give up trying to dig some information from Willy about these topics right now.
[Cyan]: “Oh right Willy for how long we need to train?”
[Willy]: “The training period ends 4 weeks after the Players accepts the invitation.
[Cyan]: “4 weeks that’s pretty short isn’t?”
[Willy]: “Cyan is advice to utilized all available time to its fullest”
[Cyan]: “Right right I get it I will keep training, just let me check the [Welcoming Box] and my [Status] before that will you”
The lights of Willy started blinking again.
[Willy]: “Affirmative”
Cyan could see a pattern here but he ignores it and moved into opening the box before Willy starts nagging him again.
[Welcoming Box]
5000 Credits 5 Tickets for entry to any Floor. 5 Energy Drink 5 Energy Food 1 Free Point
Cyan checked the new two items he got as the other items were something he already knew and more Credits.
[Energy Drink]
Restores Stamina by 50% Removes thirst
[Energy Food]
Restores Stamina by 50% Removes hunger
Eating a set of food and water will give you a 100% recovery that was pretty good. Now the only thing remaining was for him to check his own status.
[Status]
Type: Player
Name: Cyan
Status: Normal
Location: [Training Tower] Floor 4
Level: 0
Profession: None
Sub-Profession: None
Strength (STR): 6 Tier 0
Dexterity (DEX): 8 Tier 0
Endurance (END): 5 Tier 0
Stamina (STA): 6 Tier 0
Intelligence (INT): 12 Tier 0
Free Points: 2
Even though he was seeing it Cyan realized he didn’t even know what any of those numbers meant, not to mention he didn’t know what does Tier 0 even mean but he could take a guess it pretty much should mean he was at the bottom right? Good thing Willy was here with him.
[Cyan]: “Willy what are stats for an average person?”
Willy lights blinked for a second before he gave his answer.
[Willy]: “A Healthy Human 18-year-old Male should possess stats around 10’s in each category, being 9’s for Females but with a higher DEX”
Cyan could only drop down his head in shame, none his stats reached 10, no wait his INT stat was way higher than his other stats so that should be a good thing right? Not to mention he was still 16 and not 18 so he has still some growing left in him.
[Willy]: “Remainder: Cyan has 2 Free Points available that he can use to increase his pitiful low stats”
Cyan didn’t know if Willy was mocking him or trying to help him, but thanks to his remainder he could now increase at least his stats by two whole points, even though it was not that much, for some with such low stats it was a heavenly gift.
[Cyan]: “Right Willy where should I put my Free Stats into, can also you tell me what each stats do?”
After Cyan asked that, the light in Willy that indicated he was thinking something keep blinking nonstop, Cyan have being taking note of Willy each time he asked something, a light in Willy would start blinking nonstop before giving an answer, however when it was some generic answer it would not even blink even once, meaning he would not get any meaningful information at that time, but when it was blinking it meant he had managed to get something out of Willy, even though this was useless information Cyan found it fascinating as if each time that light blink he would start getting his hopes up for getting more information.
[Willy]: “Analysis Results: Cyan is recommended to increase his STA stat before moving into other stats, Reason: Because Cyan will be able to train for longer periods of times, Additional Information: What each stats does…”
Cyan could resume Willy information as follows
STR
Affects Strength: How hard can you hit something
DEX
Affects Speed and Agility: How well can you dodge something
END
Affect Toughness: How hard something can hit you.
STAT
Affects Stamina: How long you can move
INT
Affects Brain: How fast can you think and how well can you remember.
[Willy]: “in addition, Cyan could also save Free Points for later use as it would be harder to increase Player stats by many folds on later stages”
In short, Willy was telling Cyan to put everything on his stamina or save his free points for when he really needs them.
[Cyan]: “I guess you are right, I think saving them is the best choice however with my STA being so low I guess I should use them now and worry about it later”
Cyan put his two free points in STA by tapping into the + button as he could feel his body getting more energy from someplace else.
[Status]
Type: Player
Name: Cyan
Status: Normal
Location: [Training Tower] Floor 4
Level: 0
Profession: None
Sub-Profession: None
Strength (STR): 6 Tier 0
Dexterity (DEX): 8 Tier 0
Endurance (END): 5 Tier 0
Stamina (STA): 8 Tier 0
Intelligence (INT): 12 Tier 0
Free Points: 0
Now with 8 points of STA, he felt he could keep challenging the [Quest] his only wish for part [3] wouldn’t be to do 1000 pushes or something crazy like that but he needed to clear part [2] of the quest first.
After coming to a meaningful decision Cyan prepared himself for doing more pushes but ironically Willy interrupted him.
[Willy]: “Remainder: Cyan can use energy drinks to complete the Quest successfully”.
[Cyan]: “Oh right I almost forgot I have a few of those”
Until this point, Cyan was thinking that Willy worth every cent even better he got it for free, and even though it could get really annoying sometimes it was actually a really amazing machine.
Cyan checked the [Quest] in his phone as he took out the Energy Drink and Energy Food for later use.
Start your training]
[1] Do 10 pushes against the floor, in 10 minutes (Cleared)
[2] Do 100 pushes against the floor (90/100)
[3] Lock (unlocks after complementing the previous task)
Then he had a sudden idea.
[Cyan]: “Willy can you read the data from the Quest so I don’t have to?”
Willy's eyes blinked a few times before an answer came back.
[Willy]: “Quest Linked: [Start your training] [2] 90/100, Cyan needs 10 more pushes to clear the Quest”
[Cyan]: “Willy you are amazing”
As Willy answered had come, his phone also vibrated again.
[Cyan]: “Wait is this also a hidden feature?”
As expected it was a hidden feature.
Message [Midas]: “Player Cyan has being awarded 1000 Credits by being the first person to discover hidden feature [Coach]”
At the same time everyone in the area got the same message that Cyan, however nobody present had a robot with them, making a few people thrown jealousy gazed to Cyan that has a personal robot with him, however Cyan didn’t notice this as he was engrossed in trying to find what other hidden functions Willy may have.
Cyan inventory ended looking like this.
[Inventory]
Credits: 8000
