《The most human elf in Shaylet - Paused until further notice》Nightmares

I gave up trying to get the minotaur dressed so Vylet took over and dressed her. I searched around for travel supplies, any preserved food and pots that I can shove in a bag. I found nothing in the house so I went next door. In the room next to the entrance I found a big sack under the bed, i picked it up and emptied it on the bed. The sack was filled with various climbing tools, leather pouches willed with dried meat, a loaf of hard bread, some rope and a cheap dagger in a wooden sheath.
The sack isn't really useful, it was tearing in multiple places and had a hole near the bottom. I looked around the house for a new bag and found a worn merchants pack. I checked the contents to find it filled with mostly medicinal herbs and other plants I don't know the uses of. I dumped out everything but the herbs, those I put in a pocket on the side of the bag, and took it back to the other room and started packing everything I thought was useful.
We had several days worth of food and I also had a stash of wine I stole from the village head, hidden at the hut I lived in. The merchants bag had some space left in it even with everything I put in there. I picked up the bag and walked out of the house.
On my way out I noticed one of the floor boards sticking up at a weird angle. I took out that cheap dagger I found and started to pry it up. The board came up with a small creak, revealing a small space filled with a book, a necklace with a weird symbol on it and a dirty vial.

I examine the book to see if it might be worth something. It was a worn old ratty book, the binding torn in many places. But it might be worth something on the underground market if it's a banned book. Opening it to the first page I looked as the blood drained from my face, the words are written in blood...
And in daemon language.
The world immediately started spinning, the words echoing off the page in a voice that came from everywhere. A voice deeper than anything possible by a living being, speaking a language that twisted my thoughts with every syllable. My hands seem to fuse with the book as everything twisted and turned grotesque. I couldn't breathe, my muscles growing weaker and weaker as what seemed like days pass.
Then It all ended. The world stopped spinning, the feeling in my muscles coming back to me. My hands shaking and empty in front of my face as I try to recover from what just happened. A hand enters the edge of my vision and touches the side of my face. I turn my head to see a beautiful young girl in a green dress looking at me with a worried expression on her face. A wave of exhaustion hits me and I pass out.
Horrifying images filled my mind as I slept. creatures, weird combinations of daemon and rusted metal tearing and ripping flesh from any who got too close. Deafening screams and the sounds of torture make up the world in my dreams.
There was a voice that cut through the screams. Filled with desperation, a hoarse yet feminine voice cried out.
"Please, save my daughter"
The pain in my head woke me, my hands still shaking as I try to sit up. A cup of what smelled like alcohol appeared before me held by small hands.

"Thank you" I said accepting the cup and chugged it greedily. I didn't realize how thirsty I was. Handing the cup back I finally get a good look at the owner of the hands. It was the minotaur girl, apparently she had woken up and heard screams her and vylet found me clutching a book and randomly switching between laughing maniacally and crying. As she told me she seemed really worried. I was curious why she would worry so much about someone she had never met before. My curiosity disappeared when I saw she was holding the book in her other hand.
"Give me that book and for the love of all that is holy don't open it"
"Why? Can you read it?"
"Gods no I can't read it! Give me the damn book! It's filled with curses and evil shit that will rot your mind"
She gave me a look one would give a small child and chuckled as she gave me the book.
"Relax, it's just daemon tongue, it's one of the first languages I learned. Not as hard as what you humans call the forbidden language but it's better for mental attacks"
I couldn't believe what this kid was saying
"Kid....what is your name?"
"You can call me malady, also I'm not a kid"
"Malady? Funny, you have the same name as the-"
"The evil goddess? Yeah she's my mother but she doesn't like that title."
A demi-god.......shit.
