I woke up trying to piece together what happened. I then remembered with a small cold sweat. After the redhead turned red, she ran at me at an incredible speed and before I knew it, I woke up here. I guess it will become a habit of getting knocked out……. women are crazy. I looked around me and saw that I was in a new house that looked freshly built because there was no paint yet however it looks like the wood was merged together and the window is made of leaves. My guess is, is that this was made by an ability of some sort.

Then the doctor man walked in alone and said “looks like the patient is finally up I'm sorry but if you want to leave us now the bill went up by quite abit”

“can I sue red and get her to pay ?” I said jokingly completely forgetting the situation

“sadly if you try she might just punch you again, and there is also the unspoken rule that if she punches you, you deserved it. well that's mainly no one wants to go against an A ranked ability” he said, laughing through the last part of the sentence.

“you're a very easy going person aren't you.” I said

“ yes I am, Problem?”

“No not really. Anyway what's red’s ability anyways” i wondered.

“Crystal has two, her A ranked came from the beginning and the reason why she survived till now and is the powerhouse of the camp, it’s herculean strength it makes her incredibly strong and fast, her other ability that filled her last slot is minor fire forming which is D Ranked which we got on one of our hunts and we actually decided to give it to her because her hair. but the combination actually made her stronger since fire forming lets her cover parts of her body like her fists with intense fire to punch you.”

What I got out of the conversation is that they most likely don't know about evolution it might be only a S Ranked ability perk or something however she sounds scary and crazy.

since she sounded strong I decided to try to joke around “wow she sounds strong…. and crazy maybe you should keep a collar of ice on her for punishment ask an ice ability use-”

About the time I tried to tell him a hand covered in fire busts through my wall with a voice behind the wall yelling “What did you say!”. when the wall crumbled you can see crystal as red as the fire.

“sorry about your wall doc. and I was joking” I replied

“It’s john and it is also your wall and house it will cost you to fix it to” he replied nonchalantly

once I heard that it was mine house and that I would have to pay for the rebuild, the temperature around me dropped to the point where you can see your own breath except mine. of course I could have just tried to reject it and walk my own way but until I get strong enough I will need to have help since I have already almost died twice from those flesh golems.

“OI you Red you just vandalized my house, pay up.” I said in a cold voice.

“what do you mean you were talking bad about me you deserve it and much more clench your teeth” she said as she kicked off the ground towards me taking off the fire around her.

I immediately started forming walls of ice between us as hard as stone. In which she broke through them quickly but still allowed me time to form an ice platform under my feet to let me levitate at the same speed as her. We spent thirty minutes dodging each other's blows until I finally got hit in the face, however, it was not a strong punch it was more of a punch from a normal girl. I looked at the laughing girl in surprise as she said.

“that was fun let's do it again next time, have fun rebuilding.” she said while also running away from responsibility from helping.

Doc who has been watching the whole time chuckled “most people here are C Ranked and only two other B ranks are here but still not as strong as they could be. even they could not handle her for even a minute with her holding back that much she must have actually accepted you since most new people die”

“really what's so great about being accepted by her?” I asked.

“well to her the people she accepts are like family, since her family was tortured and raped in front of her, right before the change since her dad was some big shot in a company. Every one who she will accept must be strong, if she accepts you everyone else will also. Oh one more thing we are a semi military camp well what's left of it. this camp is for ones who have high ranked abilities or who wants to fight there is actually no one from the military before the change here but we keep contact with them apparently they want people who have abilities to help them help others since the government collapsed but if they do something we don't like we will leave so don't worry” he said with a confident smile.

“ok” I gave a reply.

“Hahaha and you called me easygoing.”

“well no sense in just asking questions blindly and besides you saved my life also so why not. I’d rather worry about how much the wall would cost.”

“Well it’ll probably be 100 gold and your debt to me would be around 50 gold o yeah you probably don’t know but we have two merchants here”

“merchants?”

“yeah it’s an ability, there is a system shop to buy health potions, strength potions and more like swords but it cost gold, another perk to them, is that if they sell to the system and its not on the system yet, it’ll be put on there so if you have something to sell or buy, go to them and if it is rare they might even pay for it more than it is worth to gain the item. so go to them if you have a chance they could explain the rest”

“Thank you” I said

“no problem” he said as he ran outside through the hole in the wall

“at least use the door!” I yelled after him

well time to see the so called new equipment I got “Items”
