《I Came, I Ran》A Great Darkness

As the boy lay there dying, the horse that was looking at him from in the lake sunk its head back into the water. It reemerged after getting to the shoreline of the lake, revealing itself to be an Each-uisge. The terrible, man-eating creature smelled the dying boy, and decided itself to have a snack on the human.
The Each-uisge opened its mouth, revealing several rows of jagged, nearly serrated teeth which could only be used for tearing apart flesh. The Each-uisge prepared to take a bite of the boy, but then something...haunting happened.
As the teeth of the Each-uisge barely touched the boy's chest, the Each-uisge started to transform. It started to age on the spot; from it currently being a young adult, it went to its adult stage, to its olden stage, and then it dissipated to dust. The Each-uisge couldn't do anything but jerk its head rapidly as it disappeared.
The boy was alone again, laying in his blood, which was being diluted by the lake water. But the blast of energy still affected him, but now in a different way. It was no longer growing through him, but out of him; almost as if it was trying to get out the boy's body.
The roots came out through the lower back of the boy, creating some form of centipede legs that were then used to scuttle further on down the shoreline and into the water, where the roots promptly and completely exited the boy through his back, leaving a gaping hole and a lot of blood coming out of his sinking body.
The roots tried to swim away, but were quickly eaten by some creature, all while the by slowly sunk down to the bottom of the lake, getting carried by the something towards the middle. His blood stained the lake, but no predator came after the trail of blood, almost as if their instinct told them not to.

Once the boy finally reached the bottom, he looked paler than a bloodless corpse. It looked as if a vampire sucked every last drop of blood from his body, and then just disposed of his corpse. But the boy was far from dead, his injuries were healing at a visible rate.
The shrapnel of stone that was once in his back was being pushed out, the gaping injuries left healing up to only become minor scars. His bent, broken arm had its bones snapped back into place, healing six months of recovery in just a mere thirty seconds. After all was done, the boy had no visible or major injuries on him.
But yet, the boy did not wake, he was stuck in his mind; trapped, only to awaken when he can finally break himself free.
For the first few days, the boy was struck; he couldn't do anything in his own mind, the reality of his situation dawning over him, consuming him. But slowly, day by day, he regained himself, until finally, on the fifth day, the boy was back.
The boy awoke within his mind and saw only darkness around him. 'Well shit' the boy thought, and saw the words come up in a bright white light in the darkness around; dissipating after a short time. The boy was confused, but after a while, pieced together that he was most likely stuck in his own head, and henceforth why he could see his own thoughts.
For the first few days, the boy spent his efforts trying to get out of his mind prison. From saying random words related to opening magical objects, to trying to push on the darkness around and break through it. But after a while, the boy learnt that there was no hope for him, he would have to get out a different, currently unknown, way.

So, the boy thought about what he would do for now; and it didn't take long for an important matter to dawn on him. In this new world, he was at the bottom of the food chain. With things like magic involved, there were bound to be more things that could kill him in one shot or outplay him; this meant that the boy had to devise a way of fighting.
The boy, after reviewing what he knew about most fighting style's that included any kind of weaponry, concluded that he was better go off and just punching things to death. But, as he was in his mind, he couldn't really train, as there was nothing and no-one to train with.
But then the boy had an idea; 'If this is my mind, why don't I just make a training ground?' And with that thought displayed in front of him, the boy got to work.

After Z
The signs were all there. A mysterious fever spreading in the wake of the pandemic. Increasing incidents of unrest with surprisingly little coverage by the media. Breakdowns in basic services. Nick had thought for years that total social collapse would come in his lifetime – he just never expected that collapse to come from the unquiet dead. As soon as he was sure enough that the potential danger outweighed the awkwardness of admitting that yes, the dead were rising, Nick grabbed his bug out bag and bugged out. It felt, at times, that the zombie movies, comics, and games he’d grown up with had been preparing for this moment. And Nick was right. But also very very wrong. After Z is an apocalyptic occult interactive serial about survivors hiding from the dead in a forest preserve. A new chapter is posted every week, and every week supporters vote on which way the story flows. This story will be added to daily until it's caught up with its current state elsewhere; if you don't want to wait you can read ahead on my blog.

The Lucky Secret
Five years ago, the Tower appeared in the Arctic circle, and people started to disappear. Not that any of this affected Cillian James, who was too busy keeping the lights on with webnovels he didn't want to write to really concern himself with some omniscient tower kidnapping people at random. That is, until Cillian is kidnapped himself, and now he has some very big problems on his hands. Namely, surviving the Tower and its homicidal salamanders and zombies and weirdly affectionate cats, and learning the truth behind the existence of the amulet titled "The Writer's Secret". Cilian isn't particularly athletic, given he spent six years glued to a computer chair, and the Tower can only give him so much strength before he's considered a lost cause, and he's not prepared in the slightest for this. He's a bit weak, he hates killing, and spends more time screaming than he does actually fighting, but if there's one thing he's got going for him, it's his impressive self-perseveration skills. But is surviving truly enough, if it changes you into someone you don't recognize? How much will he have to sacrifice before he can even call himself Cillian?
