《I Came, I Ran》Meet Teq

“You do realize that I’m not as strong as you think, yes?” The boy said rather worriedly; he really wanted to take a break from all the crazy shit that has happened in the past thirty-one chapters. The king looked at him, and laughed, “YES MORTAL, I DO REALIZE THIS! THIS IS WHY YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TEQ HERE TRAIN YOU!”
The king pointed behind the boy, and he saw how something came out of the crowd. It looked like a midget, but had an ugly shade of green skin color. The thing also had large, pointy ears, which were semi-covered by its short black hair. The boy also saw that the humanoid was wearing something akin to monk’s robes, but for very small people.
The boy stared at it for a few moments, seeing it standing there and look at him. Turning to look at the king, the boy asked: “What is it?” The boy was genuinely confused at what he was looking at, as he had never seen or heard of such a creature before. He saw how the thing made an ugly face, before the king spoke up. “HUMAN, THAT IS YOUR TRAINER TEQ, AND SHE’S A GOBLIN!”
The boy looked back to the king “A what?” he saw how the king wiggled in annoyance, before the goblin thing spoke up: “Don’t talk chief, I feel that broken bones will teach him better lessons.” said the goblin in a slightly raspy, female voice. The boy looked back to the goblin, just in time to see her disappear.
The boy activated Eyes of Chronos, just in time to see a fist appear out of nowhere, the body connected to it filled with bloodlust. The boy shot his hand in a purely reactionary manner, moving the punch out of trajectory. This happened just in time to get his cheek grazed by the punch, and the boy to send another punch into the goblin.
The goblin girl was completely surprised by this, allowing the boy’s strike to go through. She was shot a few meters away, but almost instantly stood up, the surprised look still on her face. “You will be interesting to teach! Come!” The boy looked back at the slime king, who just wiggled smugly. Sighing, the boy followed.
A few minutes later, and a very silent walk through the cave, the boy and the goblin arrived to a room. This was a huge, dome–like room, with nothing on the walls except weird looking lights. Before the boy got a chance to further inspect the room, he was attacked again; this time, with no preparation, he was sent back a few meters.

The boy laid on his back, ready to not get up. He wanted no part in this “training,” as it was more like torture to him; he didn’t see a need to get stronger. However, seeing a short humanoid fly above, hover in the air for half-second, and then shoot back down towards is a great motivator to get back up.
The boy rolled out of the way, having no time to rest, as the goblin mercilessly did a backflip on to his current position. The boy saw this coming however, and activated both Eyes and Gait at the same time. The world around the boy slowed down, but he was still the same. He caught the feet of the goblin just as they were coming down on his chest.
He pushed the legs off back into the air, before getting to his feet and kicking the goblin in the ribs. Seeing her body slowly getting shot away, the boy felt pretty tired, so he deactivated both. The world returned to normal, and he saw the goblin hit the ground... and instantly get up, and devious smile on her face.
The goblin disappeared from sight again, and the boy not prepared for the assault, got beaten into the dirt. First, he felt three punches into his chest, thoroughly forcing out all the oxygen in his lungs. Then a kick to his balls, a chop to his throat, and ankle shot to his head, and finally a drop kick to his back is what put him down into the dirt.
“You rely too much on your power, human. It’s bringing you down, and if this was a real fight, you’d already be dead. But I will fix you and your bad habit, and I will enjoy it!” The boy couldn’t even respond, as he was still trying to get air back into his shocked lungs. The goblin waited a few moments, before saying; “Now get up thirty-one, you have work to do!”
------------------------------
The boy had to be brought back to his cell, as his legs wouldn’t carry him back. Teq, the goblin girl had thoroughly broken his body many times, and then got those slimy bastards to heal him right up to perfect condition of fighting. And with the reward of taking a break being constantly on the horizon, the boy kept fighting.
But it was all in vain; he could tell by his broken bones. He didn’t even know if he got faster, all he knew was pain and hatred for the goblin as he went to sleep.

As soon as the boy awoke, he saw the face of goblin. “WHAT THE FUCK?!” Instinctively, the boy punched her face; or so he thought. She disappeared just as the punch was about to hit her face, and the boy got up because of the adrenaline and shock. “You know thirty-one, if this was a real combat situation, you’d already be dead.”
Regaining some of his composure, the boy said: “You said that yesterday... and why the hell do you keep calling me “thirty-one"?” The boy yawned, just in time to see a very toothy grin come from Teq. “Oh, that is because you’re my thirty-first student.”
“What happened to the other thirty?”
The goblin chuckled, the toothy grin growing as she said: “They all died trying to kill me!” The goblin looked at the boy’s apprehensive face, then saying: “C’mon, we have training to do.” The breathed his millionth sigh as he followed the goblin.
The boy and the goblin arrived in the same room, and he didn’t get attacked straight away; ‘Well, this is surprising.’ Teq turned around, a smile on her face. “Alright thirty-one, let’s train your speed. Start running!” The boy looked confused at the goblin, before she disappeared behind him and hit him on the back of the head. “I SAID, START RUNNING!”
The boy chose a direction, before starting to jog in a circle around the room. He saw how Teq calmly proceeded to the middle of the room, and sat down, closing her eyes and slowing her breathing. ‘Well, might as well train my eyes...’
The boy slowed down his jog slightly, taking the Amulet of his foot and putting it around his neck. The boy eye’s shot up in pain, but he didn’t care, he just kept running.
----------------------
Several hours later, the boy stopped. He was extremely sweaty, he was seeing white everywhere, and the amulet was glowing a deep red. He was laying on the cold, hard ground when Teq stood over him. “What the hell do you have on you?” She picked up the Amulet, inspecting and putting it on her. The boy saw her outline, and gave up. ‘This... won’t be good’
Teq’s eyes started to glow a bright light, which kept changing colors. She had a blank expression on her face; the boy took this opportunity to sleep.
Not ten minutes later, the boy woke up with a wet feeling on his face. He opened his eyes and saw translucent orange everywhere. He immediately rolled over, putting the slime off his face and getting up to see Teq still in her trance. He calmly walked over to her, and took of the Amulet. He then promptly received a punch in the face.
“WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!” He held his nose, checking to see if it was bleeding. Upon seeing that he was fine, the boy tied the Amulet around his foot. “The dimension of terror. What do I do next?” The boy looked tired, not wanting to do anything; but he also realized that he would get beat if he didn’t.
“...Well let’s test if you got any faster. Attack me!” He sighed, getting into position, and ran at her. ‘...Why do I feel faster?’ The boy figured out that he was moving unnaturally fast for what he was doing, and that he might be able to actually attack her; and she disappeared. The difference this time was, that the boy saw where she was going.
Activating Eyes of Chronos, the boy saw that Teq was teleporting short distances to him. She appeared behind him, and the boy activated Gait. He backflipped, his leg coming down like a guillotine. Teq’s head was smashed into the ground, and then the boy jumped above her, smashing both his legs onto her chest.
Deactivating everything, the boy saw his unconscious “teacher” laying helplessly on the ground. “Hey White Th-Folo, can you steal her teleportation?” Folo moved from the boy’s back, skedaddling down his leg and onto the goblin, enwrapping her. After a few moments, it came out, skedaddling up to the boy’s head, and enwrapping it.
He stood still, slightly slouching while Folo was feeding him information. When it was finally done, the boy found out several things; ‘What the hell are stats?’

With the upcoming shutdown of the servers for Ragnarok Games’ deep dive VRMMO, ‘Ashes of the Primordial’, the player log of those online for the final night was depressingly empty-looking. Ammanas, the player responsible for Sutr's defeat, stays online until the end. However, as the countdown hits 0, the start-hub of his dive rig (what would typically greet a forced ejection from a game) was no where to be seen and instead darkness greets him as he fades into unconsciousness. Awakening to unfamiliar sights in an unfamiliar body, one which turns out to be a lot more familiar than he first thought, now he must figure out where, how, why and what to do with the new world he finds himself in. New Escape
In a world not that unlike the present exists a fantastic technology to transfer one's consciousness into a game. A new frontier for video games has been opened, and my first experience in this world is an rpg. An escape from monotony and school has led me to experience a brand new world.(I originally lost my motivation for this story and kinda wanted to kill it, but I brought it into this world so I will fix it. I'll probably re-write the first chapters and include a more compelling story. Didn't really write the story for people to read in the first place and after I put it on here I stopped caring, but I am changed!(not too much but just a little))
