《A Generic Dungeon Core Story》Notice 3: Hello again... I bring good and bad news...

Okay I am never making promises in this site ever again because I feel really bad for not actually going through with them... ever!
So let's start with the bad news first... Life Through Draconic Eyes is not going to be... published for the forseeable future not because I grew bored with the story but because I cannot for the life of me write the beginning in a way that satisfy the reader inside of me whatsoever.
I already rewritten the first 5 chapters 6 times already and I still don't know what to do, it reads well at first and the writing and story is fine and I still like the overall plot and premise but there's just some instinct that tells me that the beginning is garbage even though I'm past the beginning already and I just don't know what to do.
On the plus side, all of the practice means I consider myself somewhat decent at writing now which is the only good thing that came out of it I guess. The other novel that I'm going to write Drifter's Wanderlust is also on a bit of hiatus because I want to revamp the world of it more.
So if neither of the stories I put on the poll is going to be finished anytime soon then why am I writing this notice you may ask. Well, I actually have some good news for you, I'm rewriting Another Generic Dungeon Core Story and I'm writing it well this time around.
I found my writing style now and fleshed out the worldbuilding and characters and actually put in an actual plot this time around. The characters, story, location and such will be different with the main thing I'm removing being the gamelit elements because that was what made me drop the story in the first place (I hate writing them with a burning passion now).

It just felt like a slog to write stats, abilities and make a game system and I realized that way too late when I was well into writing the story. The second reason I lost my will to write is that I ave not found a writing style yet so the story was a slapdash of experimentation and bad features.
Also, I use the poll system way too much and made too much promises, ones that I did not know I could keep or not and I am keeping it. So sorry to say but the novel I promised ot write will be put on the back burner for a while as I'm rewriting my original novel, I hope you can forgive me for that, it sucks to not be able to keep a promise no matter the circumstance.
The second reason I'm writing this notice is that I'm wiriting another fic right now for the writathon, I was looking for a specific type of story but then got frustrated when I can't find any so decided to write a short story about 5k words long which then spiraled out of control.
Anyways, I won't advertise you with the name of the fic or what's its about but I will be posting it up soon and once its done whether I win the writhathon or not I will be making sure that I will come back to rewrite Another Generic Dungeon Core Story soon enough, until then I'll see you later.

Junkyard Scavenger
Junkyard does not discriminate. This place where rejects gather is impartial to your past. Almost completely cut off from the Overworld, its limited resources put the residents at odds, as they struggle for each scrap they can get their hands on. You can decide to live in peace, but poverty, or try for a chance to leave. If you choose to leave, then be prepared to steal, plunder, fight, cripple, and kill if necessary. Gather items and become stronger. Crush your opponents as you take theirs for your own, and roll the weighted dice. Marco has watched for years how humans treat their lives like gambling chips. He saw delusion, confused with hope, and warnings falling on deaf ears. A million believing they are the one. Because don't you just need a few rare items to be unstoppable? Some EXP to dominate? Just a little luck? Surely, if you keep trying, fate will work out in your favor, no? Marco knows better than that. He's learned that patience is a virtue. He hopes others will listen; that they would learn. In time, things could be better. He plans to see to that himself. But when he meets Jeanne, their values clash. They both desire the same, yet their means differ. One would risk it all on a hunch, the other waits until the perfect moment. Does either understand the consequences of their methods? How does patience fare when time is not your ally? Do not hesitate. Doubt will drag you down. Beware of friend and foe. Because Junkyard does not forgive mistakes. A grimdark LitRPG story that's not just LitRPG, and not just grimdark. Updates about twice a week. Please feel free to leave some feedback. I'll appreciate it very much!

Ode to Fallen Angels
Jericho, the land of humanity, squirms in pain. Magic has been forbidden for so long in this so called "Age of Silence", that all Arcane knowledge has been presumed lost and irrecoverable, and the echoes of God's Will grow fainter with every passing year. The sight of Demihuman caravans is less frequent every day, as the likes of orcs and elves have learned to no longer beg for help from those who despise them. Clearly, they can expect more from the voracious wild lands than from humankind. Many have succumbed to despair, some driven mad by their fruitless efforts to bring back a Golden Age that they only ever read about in books. And in the middle of it all, in an old chapel lost in the Eastern lands, young Gabrielle lives in complete ignorance. She is another orphan living under the mercy of the Church of the Saints; one bearing the mark of evil in her red hair, the telltale sign of a Witch. In an Age of the Silent, the Prejudiced, and the Hateful, she clings to a single hope: that one day, be it in life or maybe after it all ends, she may find herself forgiven of her sin. The sin of being born.

Dawn
Disclaimer: First attempt at writing and it's a couple years old (as of 2018). Tried too much but hey if you feel like checking it out, do so. The world is at war. The clash between the great Saudi Empire and the Brazilian Alliance is reaching its climax. As the bombs fall signifying the end, many people find themselves in an unknown environment. Confused, naked and unarmed the newcomers are attacked by vicious beasts and must work together to survive in this new unknown world. Note: Short chapters. There are only small elements from VR/RPGs, the focus is definitely on the world and characters and not stats / grinding.

The Fire King
Having lost his father, the young king Elsurion is still getting used to inherit the throne. As if this wasn't enough, their most valid trading partner Ayumir cancelled the trading contract of Solaria’s most valuable goods. As the young king sets out to uncover the reasons for this, he stumbles across a menace that goes far beyond a simple trade agreement. - This is my first published story. I am not a native English speaker and this tale is also a means to improve my usage of the English language. All feedback (be it grammar, spelling, plotholes or wording etc.) is greatly appreciated. The draft for the first arc has been completed, the fair copy is in the works and will gradually be published here.
