《Re:elemental The Greatest Spark [Hiatus]》Chapter 1) Prologue a spark is born

Hey there, I know I'm talking to myself but yeah I'm having a mini panic attack here, my name's Lance, Lance Falcon, great name right? my parents thought so but my classmates thought it wasn't, anyway how can I describe this? At the minute I'm currently floating in this void?
Its a rather strange tale as to how I ended up here I was certain I had died and yet I'm here I am, floating in this...void.
Confused? Well we're in the same boat, (que dramatic music) you see it started as an average day, on an average night, after a day of attending college and having come back to binge on games and Mountain Dew (not really, I'm not a casual) my usual ritual around 6pm would be to start my dinner which consisted of either oven pizza or some other fast foody type meal that required minimal effort.
Normally it would take 10 minutes of standing around waiting for the heavenly sound of my rubber ducky clock screaming that dinner was ready, today however I was careless, so careless was I today that I must have offended the gamer Gods' for veering from my daily ritual, for today was the day I had left my dinner cooking unattended.
Now Lance you say, how could you do that! pizza is a sacred meal of the gods! Well it was simply, I had a raiding party to kill the elusive field dragon "Shelly" (who names these bosses?), being the lead tank I had no luxury of time, my parties mood was like dragon fire, angry enough even with just 10 wipes so forgoing any common sense I hastily retreated back to my game.
My efforts to cut corners had left the gods angry, they demanded BLOOD! through carelessness I had forgotten my faithful companion, my ducky clock, had I remembered to set it I would have instantly ran and saved my dinner as soon as it quacked and yet it remained silent through the chain of events that were about to start.

It wasn't long before things started to heat up quite literally, 10 minutes went by then 20 minutes and finally 30 minutes, as if an achievement was unlocked my kitchen exploded into a ball of fire, my jalapeño and pepperoni pizza extra crispy from there everything was on fire, it didn't take long before I realised that both my party and my house were going down in flames.
Black smoke filled my room, its burning fumes filled my lungs and my instincts kicked into overdrive, I had no time to save anything (so long my collection of Pokemon cards, I'll miss mew)
I made a mad dash to get out of my house, It didn't take me long to find the stairs and fall down them, dazed I had no time to notice that my arm became disfigured in both shape and addition of fire, my arm burning, panic setting in I ignore the pain and dashed outside.
My once proud house lost in flame but I had no time to look back, I had barely any time to even look where I was running to as I ran into the centre of the road.
It was then I had noticed it, instinctively I called its cursed name
"Truck-san!?"
The large truck speeding towards me, the grim reaper only a mere meter away and yet somehow I was saved, I hadn't been hit by the cliché of all stories unfortunately for me it swerved into a lamppost, unstable and with evil intentions it targeted me in its death throes, aiming to get revenge.
I have no recollection of what happened in that exact moment but apparently the lamppost had obliterated my head.
And that's how I managed to get here, into this paradise of...nothingness?

Authors note:
So I've been in Hiatus for too long, far too long for me to keep the story fresh, I noticed flaws in my original work which is why I'm I decided to redo all of it again, expect harem, danger and a more diverse cast of characters
PS I kinda fancy making anti-cliché jokes, I'm all ears to hearing feedback on this regard (or anything really)

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.

Joshua, through no fault of his own, stumbles into the grove, and is immediately killed for trespassing. This story is about the small shapeshifter that sees him die, and has an idea that will change the world.
